Chapter 1325: Demon Realm Families
This scene was simply beyond Lin Nuo’s expectations.
To make the Sacred Light vanish from Su Kexin and Luo Xiaoxue was no small feat.
Not only did the light disappear, but their powers were also suppressed.
What a peculiar wonder of the world.
“How are you two doing? What about your abilities?”
Lin Nuo asked Su Kexin and Luo Xiaoxue.
“Senior Brother, it seems… we’ve been suppressed…”
“Hero Lin, mine too…”
The two were quite helpless; it was their first time encountering such a situation.
“It seems he wasn’t boasting. This person is far more terrifying than Aike.”
Recalling Liang Zhao’s previous words, Lin Nuo felt that this guy truly had ties to the ancient demon tribes.
Did not expect there would be such a master.
So how did he stumble in his past life?
Oh right, without the Demon Realm and Sacred Realm, there’d be no memories.
Watching the scene, Liang Zhao was quite pleased—this spell had succeeded as he wished.
“I told you, the abilities you pride yourselves on will amount to nothing. It seems you still don’t understand my origins.”
Liang Zhao chuckled with a stroke of his beard and said,
“Lin Nuo, you must have learned the history of the Sacred Realm. Su Kexin, she’s the only heir of the War God. And the Gray Feather Clan, who nearly ruled the Sacred Realm back in the day, has never stopped seeking revenge. We have devised ways to suppress your powers. And I, am a descendant of the Gray Feather Clan—having come into this world and returned to the Demon Realm, I’ve acquired the family’s witchcraft. Now, I will complete my final revenge!”
Liang Zhao raised both hands, summoning a fierce demonic wind that sent Su Kexin and the others’ hair flying.
With the support of numerous demon practitioner’s souls and the protection of the Demon Star, Liang Zhao’s power continued to swell.
Trapped inside the enormous magical barrier, Lin Nuo found it impossible to break through. Just like when facing Aike, they could only escape by defeating the caster.
Now, it felt like entering a boss fight scene; they could not escape without taking him down.
However, unlike last time, Su Kexin and Luo Xiaoxue’s major skills were nullified, lacking their main force.
In an instant, Liang Zhao summoned numerous magic stones, falling from the sky like a meteor shower, straight for Lin Nuo and the others.
“Stick together, don’t scatter.”
Lin Nuo said seriously, immediately conjuring a magical barrier to defend. Ling Meng and Mu Yiting helped increase the shield’s strength.
But the torrential rain of magic stones was quite formidable; the few managed to withstand the onslaught.
Lin Nuo attempted to help Su Kexin and Luo Xiaoxue regain their abilities; however, it was futile against Liang Zhao’s demonic witchcraft.
“I’m sorry, Senior Brother, I’ve let you down…”
“Now’s not the time for excuses.”
Lin Nuo said. Right now, Ling Meng still possessed explosive abilities, that might be the key.
“Ling Meng, I’ll cover you; let’s go for it. Mu Yiting, Qin Shili, and Liu Shuqin, protect the two of them.”
Lin Nuo decisively switched strategies, making Ling Meng the main attacker.
“Got it, I will follow Master’s arrangements.”
Lin Nuo and Ling Meng had some coordination; with just a few exchanges of glances, they understood each other’s intentions.
Lin Nuo shared some of his Wind Speed spell’s enhancements with Ling Meng, enabling her to dash rapidly toward Liang Zhao.
But it was all in vain; Liang Zhao merely raised his hand, and a powerful force knocked Ling Meng back, then a giant spike emerged from where she was about to land, ready to pierce through her body.
Lin Nuo quickly caught her and then struck the spike back into the ground.
“Lin Nuo, I advise you not to struggle too much. I know what you’re thinking. This woman was a test subject of the Handa Alliance; do you really think her abilities still exist?”
Liang Zhao laughed wildly, seemingly confident of victory.
“You’re thinking too highly of yourself.”
Lin Nuo countered. If what Liang Zhao said were true, then Ling Meng’s ability was gone, and they couldn’t rely on her explosive powers.
Liang Zhao’s power, fed by shadows, became increasingly potent. Lin Nuo felt the corrosive Demon Qi spreading across the entire space.
“The descendant of Ling Qi, the historical grudges should come to a close.”
Liang Zhao waved his hand, and suddenly a gigantic magic orb came crashing down, exploding near Su Kexin.
Boom!
The group was blown apart; their formation completely scattered, and the meteor-like magic stones continued to fall. This time, Mu Yiting and Su Kexin got hit, screaming as they fell to the ground.
Their abilities were indeed rendered useless, thoroughly suppressed by Liang Zhao’s demonic witchcraft.
At that moment, a magic circle appeared beneath Su Kexin, indicating trouble was brewing. Lin Nuo quickly rushed to her side, just as he stepped onto the magic circle himself.
Then they felt a wave of paralysis wash over them, as if struck by lightning.
Lin Nuo held Su Kexin tight, shielding her from the outer layers. His body was strong enough to avoid a direct fatal blow.
“Such camaraderie, but what good will it do?”
Liang Zhao was about to bombard Su Kexin and the others when countless ice spikes flew in, interrupting his spellcasting.
Looking back, it was Qin Shili. Lin Nuo thought her strength had increased compared to earlier, but it still didn’t pose a threat.
“Qin Shili, despite all these times, do you still think you can move me? I’m not in the mood to deal with you right now.”
Liang Zhao summoned a monstrous beast to block Qin Shili and her group’s interference.
Liang Zhao primarily focused on Su Kexin, the War God’s descendant—his first target for extermination.
However, with Lin Nuo desperately shielding her, and the Wind Speed spell boosting his speed, Liang Zhao wouldn’t find it so easy to succeed.
“Lin Nuo, you really are a foolish one. That woman poses a threat to you, yet you continue to help her—so naive.”
“Do I need you to teach me what to do?”
Lin Nuo retorted, attempting to pull Su Kexin back as Liang Zhao pressed forward, leaving no chance for them to breathe.
In this environment, Liang Zhao kept absorbing the powers supplied by the Demon Star, summoning numerous beasts to deal with the others.
Lin Nuo considered getting close to Liang Zhao for a confrontation, but if he did, Su Kexin would lose her life—without explosive powers, she became just a minor practitioner.
This was the closest Su Kexin had come to death; in the past, she had explosive abilities as a safety net, but not this time.
“Lin Nuo, oh Lin Nuo, your strength is considerable. But, our Gray Feather Clan’s witchcraft is far more powerful than you can imagine.”
Liang Zhao continued to absorb the power from the Demon Star. Based on the power Qin Dao and the others had absorbed earlier, Liang Zhao had become a chosen individual to slaughter anyone who obstructed him.
“Your petty spiritual arts should cease. Everyone in the three realms will be overshadowed here!”
Liang Zhao intensified his witchcraft; the Gray Feather Clan had bestowed upon him formidable incantations, and his witchcraft now seemed to apply to all beings in the three realms when near the Demon Star.
All souls originating from the three realms would suffer a rapid decline in spiritual power, and everyone suddenly felt their own spiritual energy swiftly draining away.
