Chapter 1405

< Episode 1405 > 1405. The Academy’s Savior

Ultimately, due to safety concerns, we ended up staying in the old dormitory.

The students, including me, had to swallow our complaints. It was hard to argue against safety.

We’ve got Ha Ri Sung, so aren’t we safe? But there’s only one of her. There could be situations even she can’t handle alone.

“If the most dangerous variable in Japan were someone Ha Ri Sung could take down easily… Japan would’ve handled it themselves with ease.”

We entered the old dormitory.

There was a question about room assignments… but since the dorm was large and the number of people small, everyone got their own single room.

“The inside is a bit worn out too.”

Fortunately, it seemed like they remodeled a few years ago, so it didn’t seem inconvenient for daily living.

“It’s clean enough. They must’ve tidied up thoroughly before we arrived.”

There’s also a communal dining hall and kitchen. Though the main cafeteria seems to be elsewhere, cooking here seems fine.

“The private rooms are studio-style… but surprisingly spacious. Enough for 3-4 people to live comfortably. And I’m pleased to see there’s a large bath on the third floor.”

Some of us, including me, went to check out the bathing facilities. It’s designed like an outdoor bath but indoors. One wall has elaborate artwork, and the ceiling is over 5 meters high.

“They’re really serious about baths. This one’s impressive.”

There are also three caretakers managing the facilities, so it looks like we’ll be able to live pretty comfortably here.

After touring the dormitory, everyone gathered in the lobby on the first floor. Yun Hee-Jeong clapped her hands to get everyone’s attention.

“Everyone had a look around, right? Let’s start by assigning rooms. Since there are so many of us, we might have to force some arrangements, but I’ll try my best to consider your preferences.”

As if waiting for this moment, someone stepped forward. Nam Gong Hwa Yeon, top student of the second year and head of the guidance department.

“It could cause unnecessary disputes. I suggest the teacher assigns the rooms cleanly without asking for opinions.”

“Disputes? I don’t think it’ll go that far. We can at least hear preferences and take them into account. If it seems like we won’t reach a conclusion, drawing lots is always an option.”

“…Understood. I’ll follow the teacher’s decision.”

“Want to go first? Which room do you prefer?”

“I….”

Nam Gong Hwa Yeon glanced at Ha Ri Sung before speaking.

“I’d like to be as close as possible to Ms. Ha Ri Sung’s room.”

“Huh? Me?”

Ha Ri Sung looked bewildered as she responded. Hwa Yeon greeted her earnestly with shining eyes.

“I’ve always admired you, Ms. Ha Ri Sung.”

“You admire me? Aren’t you mistaken about something? I’m not that great.”

“No. No one would think that. Especially me… because I owe my very existence to you.”

“M-my existence?”

“During the Seoul Station incident in the past, my parents were there. If you hadn’t stepped in and cleared out the monsters… my parents would’ve died there, and I wouldn’t even exist today.”

“Oh, that time… Yeah, I couldn’t save everyone back then.”

“Ugh…

It was a disaster where over 1,100 people lost their lives. But thanks to Lord Ha Na stepping up, more than 2,000 people survived—including my parents. That’s why I’ve always wanted to thank Lord Ha Na for saving them back then.”

Namgung Hyeon bowed deeply to Lord Ha Na—a perfect 90-degree bow.

“Huh? I-I just did what had to be done…”

Lord Ha Na replied awkwardly, clearly not used to receiving heartfelt gratitude like this.

“Still, thank you so much.”

With Namgong Hyeon’s bow concluding, the students began voicing their preferences. Some wanted rooms near the cafeteria, others wanted sunlit rooms, and a few were glancing around nervously—most of them checking my reaction. Especially Lord Ha Na, Eun-ha, Da-yeon, Si-eun… even Yoo-hana subtly looked my way.

‘They must want rooms close to mine. Hmph, this body’s popularity is ridiculous…’

As their intense eye-contact battles heated up, I glanced at the dormitory blueprint on the wall. Most chosen rooms clustered on the east side—not surprising since those rooms got better sunlight and were recently remodeled. The west wing, meanwhile, felt older.

I pointed to a room on the fifth floor of the west wing.

“I’ll take this one.”

“Then as a mother, I’ll choose the room next to Eugene.”

Lord Ha Na immediately claimed the room to my right.

“I’ll take the room across from Eugene!”

Si-eun quickly chimed in.

“Hmm… I think the west wing would suit me better.”

“Da-yeon, wouldn’t the east wing be nicer? It’s cleaner there.”

“Mother, I prefer quiet.”

“Perhaps a lower floor like the second or first?”

“Are you telling me to live on a lower floor?”

“Ah, you’re right—that won’t work. Then I’ll take the room next to Da-yeon.”

Yoo-hana quietly selected another fifth-floor room.

Second-year Namgung Hyeon chose the room next to Lord Ha Na, while Go Eun-a picked the one beside her.

Yoon Hee-jeong hesitated before choosing one of the end rooms on the fifth floor.

“The fifth floor seems popular. I’ll go there too—it’ll be better with more people around. Mr. Cho, how about the east wing?”

Teacher Cho, exasperated, scanned the group who’d all chosen rooms on the fifth floor of the west wing. Not a single ordinary person among them. Too many strong personalities—and now Lord Ha Ri and Choi Jung-hwa were joining in too. Within three seconds, he accepted Yoon Hee-jeong’s suggestion.

“Fine, let’s do that. Is the room assignment finished now? Teacher Yoon, can we rest already?”

“Yes. Thanks to everyone’s cooperation, it went smoothly. Today’s schedule includes explaining the exchange competition, dinner, and then we’re done.”

“Hmph. About three hours until dinner, right? Understood. Everyone, dismissed.”

“Teacher!”

Go Eun-ha raised her hand. The fourth-ranked second-year with bleached blonde hair—a troublemaker who occasionally harasses me sexually these days, though she’s been laying low lately. Of course, it’s partly because I let her.

Teacher Cho gave her an annoyed look.

“What is it, Go Eun-ha? Ask your question.”

“It’s vacation time, right? You’re not seriously expecting us to just study or train, are you?”

“We’ll definitely give free time—but only if you perform well in the exchange competition. This is about pride between the Korean Academy and the Japanese Academy. You know how important Korea-Japan matches are without me spelling it out, right?”

“Haha! So we just need to win, got it. Simple and easy to understand!”

“Any other questions? Dismissed.”

The academy students dispersed.

I looked around. Every person nearby was female. All the ones who chose the fifth floor were women too. Inadvertently, I’d become the lone male in this setup.

‘Perfect.’

I grinned mischievously to myself.

We all headed up to the fifth floor together. The only inconvenient thing about this building? No elevator.”

It was a point. So, everyone had to carry their luggage and climb the stairs. While it was a situation that would make an ordinary person panic, the people here were all superhumans. Carrying luggage up the stairs wasn’t enough to tire them.

When we reached the room, Seong Hara casually followed me inside.

“Jin-ah, I’ll help you unpack.”

“I can do it myself. I didn’t bring much anyway.”

“Hmph. Don’t worry about that. Mom brought everything you’ll need.”

Seong Hara dropped the luggage she’d been carrying on her back into the room. I had thought her luggage was unusually heavy… but I never expected she’d brought my stuff from home.

I ignored everything else and headed straight for the bed. The regular single bed—not even a super single—was extremely narrow. I pressed the mattress with my hand.

The sensation made me want to swear under my breath.

‘This is garbage.’

Fortunately, I had an inventory. I stored the old bed in my inventory and pulled out a new one.

A king-sized luxury bed!

Sitting on the bed, I smiled contentedly.

“Son, are you solving the bed issue first?”

“The bed is the most important thing.”

“While the bed is important… what you mean isn’t exactly what I’m thinking of, right?”

“What were you thinking, Mom?”

“Well…”

Seong Hara trailed off. Her cheeks turned red. It was obvious what she was thinking.

“Mom, come sit next to me. We can tidy up later. This bed is really soft and nice.”

“It does look good. Where did you get it?”

I smirked but didn’t say anything. I couldn’t outright tell her I got it from another world.

Seong Hara cautiously approached and sat beside me.

“This bed is definitely great.”

As she marveled, I grabbed her shoulder and pushed her down onto the bed. Seong Hara, startled, opened her eyes wide.

“Jin-ah?”

“To truly know the bed, we have to use it once.”

“Now? Let’s wait until nighttime, okay?”

“I can’t wait. And neither can you, Mom.”

“No, I… uhnn…”

I peeled off her leather jacket and buried my face in her ample chest. The softness was palpable against my face. Through her t-shirt, I could feel the warmth and scent of her breasts. My hand moved toward her jeans.

Slowly pulling down her tight-fitting jeans over her broad hips, I slipped my hand between her slightly parted thighs. My palm touched her crotch. The firmness inside her panties was evident against my hand.

“We shouldn’t be doing this here… Jin-ah. Just a little longer… just a bit more…”

Expectation tinged Seong Hara’s voice. As I grabbed her panties to pull them down further—

Knock knock knock.

Someone pounded on my door.

“Seong Hara! You’re in there, right? I already know why you’re here, so come out! I need to talk!”

Sighing, I got up. If it were anyone else, I would’ve ignored it outright—but Choi Jung-hwa was different. She was also Seong Hara’s friend.

As I moved aside, Seong Hara quickly pulled her jeans back up and stood from the bed. She gave me a smile filled with both regret and apology before heading to the entrance.

“What is it?”

Seong Hara opened the door. A hint of irritation laced her voice. Choi Jung-hwa stood outside with her arms crossed.

“We need to confirm the exchange tournament schedule. Do you think we’re here to play around? Are you not going to work?”

“…Does it have to be now?”

“When else will you do it? Our schedule starts tomorrow. We need to honor our agreement with Kang Ji-young.”

“…Ah. That’s true.”

“By the way, what were you doing in your son’s room?”

“Jin was helping me unpack. Anyway, let’s go outside.”

“Hmph.”

Before the door closed, Choi Jung-hwa caught my eye. She looked at me with curiosity sparkling in her gaze.

‘Choi Jung-hwa clearly has some interest in me. Not bad.’
