145 Cornelia’s Equation
“——Mr. Dekan, please receive this.”
“The season of the snow fairy’s dance has arrived. I wonder if you are enjoying your time in Tristin City?”
“The climate in Tristin City is slightly colder and more humid than in the Capital City, so please take care not to catch a cold.”
“It has been three days since the crisis in Tristin City was resolved, and my health has almost returned to normal.”
“Strangely enough, I thought I would still feel fear from the battle that day, but for some reason, I often feel a sense of peace.”
“This is a unique experience in my long life.”
“I believe this is all thanks to you and your companions, and I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude.”
“The reason I took up my pen this time is simple.”
“I just hope to see Mr. Dekan again, to express my gratitude in person, and to have a chat.”
“There have been some misunderstandings between us, but hearing your words about being clear on things, I wonder if it would be too presumptuous of me to present myself as your friend.”
“If that is inappropriate, I would still like to get to know you again.”
“In just these three short days, there have been many new changes in both the Rebirth Church and the Kingdom Union. Although I don’t know if you have been updated on the latest situation, if needed, I will share everything I know with you.”
“And concerning your special examination’s third stage, I will do my best to answer your questions to express my apologies for being rude during the initial examination.”
“Regardless of whether you agree, Artemis sincerely wishes you joy and good health.”
“Best wishes.”
Cornelia read the letter that Ice Snow Princess sent to Dekan in her young and tender voice.
Then, all that could be heard was the shouting that pierced through the bustling street and the jingling of a hand bell.
When Dekan received the urgent letter from the knights of the lord’s manor, the beautiful trio was sitting on a bench in a square in Tristin City, enjoying some desserts.
The warm winter sun, along with the festive atmosphere created by the coming and going of people, made the otherwise cold weather much more comfortable.
The three of them and the cat were enjoying their holiday leisurely when they received the letter that Ice Snow Princess had asked Lord Rampard to deliver to Dekan.
So, to help Cornelia practice her listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, she was asked to read it aloud.
“Meow! Ice Snow Princess’s writing style is actually quite formal, huh?”
Teacher Cat scratched its head, looking somewhat puzzled.
It was hanging on Cornelia’s shoulder, quickly reading through the letter since it found that Cornelia was reading too slowly.
“She’s lived barely two hundred years and has had little interaction with others, so having a somewhat antiquated writing style is perfectly normal.”
Dekan did not shy away from mentioning Ice Snow Princess’s age.
He seemed to have gotten used to stepping on the landmines of the old beautiful girl.
Or rather, he seemed to have developed a tendency to enjoy it.
If he didn’t casually mention it, he felt like there were ants crawling all over his body.
However, Dekan noticed that Ice Snow Princess’s temper was much better than that of the Master.
Even if he said she was two hundred years old in front of her, she probably wouldn’t get angry.
“……”
He thought something significant was about to happen.
But this time, Dekan didn’t hear any inner voices.
Nor did he receive any warnings.
It was eerily quiet.
However, the next second, Dekan suddenly felt as though he had blacked out, as if he were experiencing low blood pressure.
When he regained consciousness, his vision gradually cleared.
Dekan found that the surroundings did not seem to have changed much.
He heard that Teacher Cat and the others were discussing topics similar to what they had been talking about earlier.
It seemed he had not been forcibly taken over by the Master for very long.
But Dekan quickly realized the seriousness of the situation.
The cream puffs he had in his hand had completely vanished!
The rich taste of cream still lingered on his tongue, the sweet flavor a remnant left by the Master after enjoying the puffs.
But the most delicious moments had all been enjoyed by the Master!
What was worse was that Dekan felt somewhat full already.
And he was a bit tired of the sweetness.
Even if he bought another serving, it wouldn’t be as enjoyable as before!
The happiness had been forcibly taken away by the Master.
“Master, that’s not fair…”
Dekan wanted to cry but had no tears.
He had miscalculated; he shouldn’t have provoked the Master when he had delicious food in hand.
“Even if you finished them, I could always take over your body before your next meal.”
The Master’s voice finally resounded in Dekan’s mind.
“Have mercy on me, we agreed to one meal each, didn’t we?”
“Desserts are another matter.”
“You sound like a little sister fighting with her big brother over pudding in the fridge, even though you should be the older one.”
“Older one? What do you mean by that?”
The Master seemed to have locked onto some key words.
Some words were quite normal, but she always felt that Dekan liked to use such words to tease her.
“Fine, fine, you can be the younger sister; I foolishly give you this puff as an older brother…”
Before Dekan could finish his sentence, he felt his vision gradually darken again.
“Calm down! Those calories are yours; don’t you have to run them off tomorrow?”
As soon as Dekan said this, it seemed to temporarily halt the Master’s attempt to seize control.
Daily long runs and sprints were mandatory practices for Dekan.
He had always taken his escape skills very seriously.
After all, he easily gained hate; sometimes, it was just a matter of being a little slower that could lead to death.
The Master was silent for a moment and finally responded:
“What are you talking about? The puffs were bought by you and eaten from your own hands; what does that have to do with me?”
“At least take some responsibility for our body, Master.”
Just as Dekan was debating with the Master.
Teacher Cat and the other two were also discussing Ice Snow Princess’s letter.
“By the way, do you all feel like this letter has a bit of a love letter vibe, meow?”
Teacher Cat’s tone sounded particularly mischievous as it jumped down from Cornelia’s shoulder and swayed its agile little head on the bench, looking at the other two.
“A love! Love letter?”
Cornelia exclaimed in surprise.
Her mouth fell open, and the letter in her hand almost slipped to the ground.
Afterward, although her expression returned to normal, her eyes were filled with anxiety and unrest.
Why is it so difficult to understand the Norton Kingdom’s language!
She hadn’t read the letter as a love letter at all.
She thought she had made a lot of progress lately, but it seemed she still hadn’t grasped it at all…
And why would Ice Snow Princess send a love letter to Dekan…
Cornelia didn’t understand, but she had to think quickly.
If…
Ice Snow Princess ❥ Dekan —①
Ice Snow Princess is beautiful —②

Dekan likes beautiful people, likes money, likes powerful people —⑤
① + ② + ③ + ④ + ⑤

Cornelia held her head, seeming a bit dizzy.
