Chapter 149: A girl who produces a lot of water and loves to generate electricity.
Can the Crimson Dragon do it? Can the Steel Dragon?
“Hmph Hmph Hmph!”
Looking at the large chunks of broken ground caused by his mighty palm strikes, the Spiny Dragon let out a maniacal laugh.
This was just his normal “Little Hand Slap.” If he were in an excited state…
His physical strength should be able to rival that of the Extinction Dragon, right?
It’s been quite a while since he left the Ancient Tree Forest. He wonders if the investigation team has made any connections after his departure.
After all, the Slaying Dragon, the Spiny Dragon, and the Smoky Snow Weasel disappeared together.
Of course, they might not even care and are busy fortifying their base.
Originally planning to quickly pass through the Valley of Miasma, but ended up taking much longer to reach the Coral Land Plateau.
Once he finishes speeding through the Coral Land Plateau, he’ll go back and check on the investigation team’s situation.
Jié Jié flaps his wings as he calculates the time, it should have been about half a year, he wonders how their infrastructure is coming along.
Riding the ascending air currents, he flies to the peak of the Coral Land Plateau. There still aren’t any Qí Lín or Abyssal Wave Dragons residing here.
But recalling the memories of the old Steel Dragon’s battles with ancient dragons, and their unique way of greeting, he lets out a long roar to the sky.
The windstorm guides the visible ascending air currents around his body, stirring the clouds in the sky.
Being high in the air doesn’t affect the creatures below, but the gathering storm in the sky is clearly visible.
Jié Jié maintains the storm, provoking the master of the Coral Land Plateau.
Ancient dragons’ wisdom allows them to realize they are different from most creatures, even superior to them. This is both arrogance and the natural dignity of ancient dragons.
It’s like facing an iron wall – not that they can’t fly over it, but they want to destroy it to show off their power.
He doesn’t even have to worry too much about being surrounded by multiple Abyssal Wave Dragons. If one appears, others won’t join in.
Like a sudden leap from barren land, the Qí Lín on the plateau watches the storm before turning and jumping down again.
Qí Lín always keeps away from ancient dragons. Perhaps when their eyes met, he noticed something.
As the sky gradually darkens, rain begins mixing into the storm without notice.
The storm-engulfed clouds grow darker, transforming into cumulonimbus clouds.
Another hand intervenes in the storm. In the dim sky, only a streak of dazzling light remains. The surrounding moisture reflects the light, forming a watery world around the Lord of Torrents.
He comes upon invitation.
The rain grows heavier.
Jié Jié descends onto the plateau from the storm, using the storm to disintegrate the massive water projectiles flying towards him.
But the storm’s water content continues to increase.
Narrowing his eyes, he identifies the Abyssal Wave Dragon. It’s clearly not the one that fought the old Steel Dragon in the open sea.
He wonders if many of these Abyssal Wave Dragons are lurking in the seas around the New Continent.
When Jié Jié relaxes his control, the storm no longer converges but spreads outward. However, the torrential rain falling makes the water level in the basin on the peak rise rapidly.
In a short time, it covers the knees of the Spiny Dragon.
More importantly…
This water defies the law of flowing downhill, instead piling up and spreading everywhere.
Jié Jié relaxing his field doesn’t mean the Abyssal Wave Dragon will pause the formation of the water world.
Powerful torrents spout from the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s mouth, shattering the water surface and enveloping the Spiny Dragon, as if giving him a shower.
His strong steps aren’t hindered by the water flow. Jié Jié flies into the air, his horn meeting the breath weapon powerful enough to knock down a Fire Dragon, colliding head-on with the Lord of Torrents.
The Abyssal Wave Dragon’s flight ability isn’t exceptional, nor does she intend to dodge. Her short arms spark with lightning, slapping toward the incoming Jié Jié.
“Little Hand Slap!”
This is the most famous technique of ancient dragons. Most ancient dragons, with their double-winged, four-legged bodies, have relatively slender limbs. Swinging them may not seem very lethal, but they can directly knock down large monsters.
The moment the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s hands make contact with Jié Jié, they release immense heat, instantly evaporating the water wrapped around the Spiny Dragon, generating highly destructive steam.
Then, he gets rammed out of the sky by the unstoppable Spiny Dragon.
The Spiny Dragon’s indomitable heart!
The Abyssal Wave Dragon screams as she gets rammed out of the sky, bringing the entire water world down on Jié Jié, pressing him downward.
The storm breath released from her mouth tears apart the water world pressing on him, but Jié Jié’s body gets dragged down by the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s tentacle-like wings.
During the fall, large amounts of water secrete from the Abyssal Wave Dragon’s body, wrapping around Jié Jié, occasionally bursting with electric currents.
“Always spraying water and generating electricity, you Abyssal Waves are truly amazing.”
Jié Jié laughs maniacally, not breaking free from the Abyssal Wave Dragon, intending to fall together with her to the lower levels of the Coral Land Plateau.
Ideally, straight into the Valley of Miasma.
The Abyssal Wave Dragon lacks a shell, her skin and scales look soft, with a layer of water tightly bound under high pressure.
From observing multiple Abyssal Wave Dragons, this one’s reproductive tract is visibly flatter compared to the previous one, clearly a female Abyssal Wave Dragon.
But as long as he stays on top, no matter how resilient the Abyssal Wave Dragon is, she’ll take a hard hit, maybe even speed through.
However, realizing the ground is approaching, the Abyssal Wave Dragon releases him, her slippery body making it difficult for him to hold onto her.
She slips away from beneath Jié Jié, flaps her tentacle-laden wings, then grabs onto the nearest coral wall, leaving Jié Jié alone to plummet downwards.
No problem, he’s faced gravity numerous times before. The tornado he releases harmonizes perfectly with his wings. With just a gentle touch, he ascends, charging towards the Abyssal Wave Dragon.
But the water world from the sky presses down on him, causing him to descend and miss his target, directly crashing through the Coral Land and entering the hollow within.
A Floating Dragon inside, startled by the intruding wind, gets blown out.
The Abyssal Wave Dragon, like an octopus, adheres to the upper Coral Land, enters the hollow, and starts shooting water bubbles at the Spiny Dragon shaking his head.
Rainwater also falls inward, combining with the water cannons from her mouth to reconstruct the water world in this hollow.
Jié Jié opens his mouth, and a fiery explosion containing intense poison shoots out, but before it hits its mark, it gets extinguished mid-air by the rushing water cannon, washing away the poisonous mist.
On the Coral Land Plateau, he can use the stronger Spiny Dragon form than the Slaying Dragon, but the Abyssal Wave Dragon is clearly stronger than the Corpse Suit Dragon.
“Roar~ Wow!”
The Abyssal Wave Dragon roars, her wings flashing a yellow-green luster, and strong lightning bursts forth from her entire body.
Lightning Attribute Release State.
She spits out more water downwards, creating giant waves that fall from the sky, pounding against Jié Jié.
Afterward, the Lord of Torrents, wrapped in lightning, gathers her wings around her body, and plunges downwards.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
