Chapter 151: Dodging Would Be a Form of Disrespect! (Third Update, Please Subscribe!)

The twenty-fifth floor, “Water Riddle City.”

After passing through the cave passage made of crystal, Izay arrived here for the second time.

The space was bathed in a cerulean glow.

A breathtaking view unfolded before Izay’s eyes.

An awe-inspiring grand waterfall roared with thunderous water sounds, and crystal peaks formed valleys or cliffs.

Accompanied by misty splashes, half-human-half-bird monsters (Harpies) or singing birds (Sirens) soared through the air. Their piercing cries echoed loudly, while their falling feathers traced paths across the Great Void.

Directly ahead, the grand waterfall known as the “Great Azure Waterfall” came into view.

This truly enormous waterfall spanned from the twenty-fifth to twenty-seventh floors of the dungeon.

Even at a glance, its width was about four hundred meters, and its height was estimated to be twice that. Due to the reflection of light, the cascading water appeared turquoise.

The mesmerizing beauty of the waterfall made one forget that this was a perilous dungeon.

And directly opposite the waterfall, below where Izay stood on the Crystal Cliff, lay a vast pool that extended downward like a series of steps.

“Unfortunately, it’s a dungeon…”

Izay paused briefly to admire the scene before letting out a soft sigh.

If only it weren’t a dungeon, this place could have been even more prosperous and fertile, potentially developed by the deities into a paradise.

But indeed, this place was already a paradise…a paradise for the monsters born within the dungeon.

Turning to the side, he walked toward the crystal bridge extending to the left, where there was a cliff path.

Although the twenty-fifth floor was dominated by waterfalls and water, there were also maze caves present.

Within these cliffs and precipices, countless labyrinthine paths and dungeon treasures awaited discovery if one had the time to explore.

Currently, Izay was standing on a cliff. To his right and front were sheer cliffs, while only to his left, along the circular Great Void, did a continuous path exist.

Walking safely along the cliff path, the singing birds in the sky did not attack. Izay peacefully entered the cave maze at the end of the long cliff path.

Inside the cave maze, translucent white crystals grew everywhere like stalagmites. In “Water Riddle City,” crystals were the main components of this level and also the source of light.

Having visited this place once before, Izay was somewhat familiar with the surroundings. Upon entering the cave, he encountered the first wave of battles on the twenty-fifth floor.

A group of crab monsters with blue steel shells emerged from the depths of the cave.

“Metal Blue Crabs,” a type of metal monster. They looked like giant crabs but were vertical-moving variant crabs.

“Clang clang clang—”

A group of crab anomalies spotted the intruder in the cave, angrily raising their weapons (pincers) and charging straight at Izay.

Then, a flash of cold light intertwined, and they all met their doom!

In front of Yettsu, the Metal Blue Crabs’ proud steel shells proved utterly useless.

And against the “Jade Shield” surrounding Izay, with dark golden rock-like objects floating around him, their pincers failed to land any attacks.

With an extremely calm expression, Izay cut through the swarm of crabs.

He felt that even the slightest intention to dodge would be a form of disrespect!

Since the development of “Mountain-Sea Transformation,” the shield created by “Wall Rising to Immense Heights” had become stronger.

Not only was it harder, but it also lasted longer, the two magics complementing each other beautifully.

Walking down a five-meter-wide cave passage, Izay continued exploring, with a circle of azure magic glowing beneath his feet.

After officially entering the cave maze, the passage gradually transformed into a riverbank.

Flowing water would appear in the passages, originating from unknown sources.

The merging streams could reach the scale of a “river.”

It seemed as if the dungeon deliberately forced adventurers to fight aquatic monsters, as unexpected aquatic creatures would suddenly attack them.

For example, the typical piranha-like “Ambush Monster Fish.”

However, none of these ambushes worked against Izay.

The perception from the “Zodiac Disk” combined with the warning from “Intuition” provided double insurance.

Especially when exploring the dungeon alone, Izay always kept the “Zodiac Disk” active.

Anyway, the magic consumed little mana, yet significantly increased safety. Why wouldn’t he do it?

“Hmm?”

Suddenly, Izay stopped.

Something was rapidly approaching within his perception range.

And ahead, the surface of the water remained perfectly still, showing no signs of abnormality.

“Snake-type monster? Underwater…”

Slowly raising the spear tip of Yettsu, seizing the initiative, Izay prepared to swing his scythe at the unseen enemy.

A few moments later, the water erupted violently.

“—Roarrrrrrrr!!!”

A massive creature emerged from the water, creating a curtain of water. A long and large shadow appeared before Izay.

The sudden appearance of the monster lunged toward Izay, its head rising almost to the ceiling, revealing fierce eyes as it opened its massive jaws filled with sharp teeth.

“Die for me!!”

But Izay’s attack was faster than its assault. Yettsu left a dim silver trail as it tore the monster’s body into two halves.

“—????!?”

The monster screamed in death before sinking back into the water, causing another impressive splash.

Izay took two quick steps backward; the Jade Shield was an energy construct and not waterproof, so he didn’t want to get caught up in the splashing water.

Steadying himself on the shore to the side, Izay lightly spun his spear, identifying the creature.

“A big water snake… So, does that mean there might be ‘Maze Coral’ nearby?”

Active in the “Water Riddle City,” the large snake-type monster, “Big Water Snake.” Covered in pale green scales with a snake-like head, it often appears near “Maze Coral.”

Not every place with Big Water Snakes will necessarily have Maze Coral, but the possibility is quite high.

Using magic to sense briefly, Izay followed the feedback between several forks in the road ahead.

“I’ve found you~”

After turning two corners, Izay saw on the crystal-covered ground across the stream a pink coral shaped like a tree branch.

About the size of three basketballs, it sparkled brilliantly under the crystal’s illumination. Such a large patch of Maze Coral was likely worth over a million Valis.

“Coral… too big to fit, but these ‘Coral Pearls’ can all be taken away. Selling this many should fetch at least five million Valis without issue.”

The Maze Coral was too large. It would take up a lot of space in Izay’s backpack, making it better to just take the pearls it produced instead—there were quite a few.

Incidentally, not all Maze Coral produces Coral Pearls; only a small portion does, and the quantity varies randomly.
