Chapter 18

As soon as the lecture ended, Roho brought Bellver out.I want to go together to all sorts of places. Then, where would be good?

A place where they could be alone after putting in so much effort to get closer and could chat warmly was desired. There was only one appropriate place she could think of.

“Shall we study together at the library?”“Yeah.”“Then let’s go. Let’s think about it together.”

Bellver wanted to try preparing for the practical exam of the magic department based on the lecture content.Since he figured he needed a bit more knowledge, he decided to head to the library. He hadn’t been to the academy library yet anyway.

He realized there were many places he hadn’t visited despite living at the academy for quite some time.Resolved to explore further from now on, he glanced at Roho.He didn’t know where the library was.

At first, Roho stopped and didn’t understand what his intent was when he stared boldly at her. With a cold gaze and no words, it felt like Bellatrix had returned from those days. Then, she noticed there was something he wanted in his eyes.

They decided to go to the library, but he had stopped, meaning he wanted something. One thing came to mind.

“Do you not know where it is?”“Mhm.”“I’ll guide you. Follow me.”

For a moment, she worried if she had done something wrong, but thankfully, she was right.Roho sighed with relief internally and judged that from now on, she must figure out Bellver’s intentions first.Though he had become more rounded as a person, his unique air of being slightly detached from the world remained. She resolved to be careful so he wouldn’t revert to the chaotic Bellatrix.

While Roho was silently panicking and making promises to herself, Bellver was also thinking how lucky he was.He had already acted embarrassingly by going berserk alone in the lecture room; admitting he didn’t know the way would’ve been too shameful.Even though his fragile heart found it overly trivial, it screamed with embarrassment. His inner sense of masculinity urged him to speak up boldly, but Bellver, who had been torn apart by imaginary Bellatrixes into a state of mental and physical weakness, couldn’t hear it.

“Did you not go to the library or attend lectures? What did you do all this time?”“I hung out with Bellver.”“For three months since enrollment?”“Yeah.”

Bellver reminisced that it had already been three months. It had been a long time since trembling after meeting Bellatrix at the main gate shortly after their bodies swapped. Many things changed since then.First, his body changed, and second, he gained someone who liked him when he had no one before.Thinking back made him smile—a small, modest smile like a winter flower blooming in the frost.

Naturally, Roho despised this change. To her, who had never experienced love, it seemed strange and alien.Still, she felt she wouldn’t change this much even if she fell in love.

“You’ve become much more elegant lately.”“Me?”“Yes. You used to give off a rough, boyish impression, but now you’re delicate like a girl.”“Is that a compliment?”“Of course, it’s a compliment. Your current self is someone I’d even want to emulate, Bella.”

Bellver resisted as much as he could against Roho’s evaluation. He regretted not being able to assert himself like with Bellatrix, saying he was a man and cool. Why did he seem girlish while Bellatrix appeared masculine? He had no idea.

Needless to say, everything Roho said was sincere.Bellver currently embodied the perfect image of an aristocratic young lady—like a living textbook of noble etiquette.

His tone retained its old qualities but softened, giving listeners a sense of comfort. Each movement was restrained, but instead of stiffness, it exuded refined grace. He was the epitome of a model aristocratic maiden.Though it wasn’t a pleasant evaluation for Bellver.

“What should we study? Shall we review theory? Even if we’re both perfect, revising can’t hurt, right?”

The two reached the library and secured a two-person self-study room.Bellver, who quietly followed Roho, was surprised to find the medieval fantasy library equipped with such modern systems. This was indeed a world where science was replaced by magic, blended into a novel-like setting.

“Alright.”“Yes. Then let’s go pick out books. We could request them, but isn’t there fun in choosing ourselves since it’s a library?”“Let’s do that. Just guide me a little—I don’t know anything.”“That’s obvious.”

This time, Bellver requested confidently.Walking to the library calmed him down significantly.Though still awkward asking Roho for help, his curiosity about the library outweighed his discomfort.

I wonder what kind of books this world’s library holds. In games, libraries mostly featured categorized spellbooks. What kinds of books might there be here?

By the time Bellver returned to the self-study room, his face was as ripe as a peach in season. So ripe it looked like biting into it would release a burst of tangy juice. The reason? The books cradled in his arms.

“You can read it. It’s important for Bella now, right?”“It’s just inspection! Unhealthy stuff shouldn’t exist in the academy!”“Yes~ I understand. I’ll study beside you, so go ahead and take a look.”

Bella tried hard to ignore the chuckling Roho and took her seat in front of her.Though trying to keep his gaze steady on Roho, it kept dropping, making his already flushed face redder. His eagerness to dive into the texts in his arms was overwhelming, yet he patiently waited until Roho opened her book first due to sheer transcendental patience.Too shy, Bellver couldn’t proudly open the book first.

Chuckling Roho showed consideration for the struggling Bellver in front of her and pretended to read by opening her book first.Of course, she was only pretending, her gaze still fixed on him.How would he react upon reading that book?

‘Blushing over romance novels? Truly girly. And it seems he doesn’t even know what they are.’

Sneaking glances at Roho, Bellver opened one of the books and began reading. His quick reading speed carried him smoothly forward.Seeing Bellver focus without any reaction, Roho finally diverted her gaze.

“Ugh…”

How much time had passed? When Roho had read halfway through her theory book, she heard a groan from in front.Looking over, Bellver was covering one eye with his hand, peeking through the gap to read the novel.Judging by his red face, it was easy to guess what scene he was reading.

She knew exactly which section of books Bellver had taken these from.An area designated for romance novels tailored for adult academy students, allowing some erotic descriptions.Simply put, steamy novels. She left him be, assuming he didn’t realize what kind of books he was picking, especially since she had vaguely mentioned they were romances.

“Unhealthy… unhealthy… unhealthy…”

Despite finding it embarrassing and unhealthy, Bellver succumbed to the naughty urge to read more.He clutched the novel tightly, groaning and covering his eye, completely oblivious that Roho had stopped reading and was watching him, amused.

He didn’t know why himself.Clearly unhealthy content, and he was muttering “unhealthy” under his breath, yet he couldn’t put it down.Only thanks to Roho pausing did he manage to break free from his mysterious concentration.

“So interesting? Haven’t you done it with multiple lovers? You two seem so cozy.”“W-What nonsense! I was just inspecting how unhealthy it was! And I haven’t done anything like that yet!”

Bellver slammed the book shut in shock. How mortifying to be caught reading such unhealthy material.

Worse, hearing her words momentarily substituted him and Bellatrix into the scenario. The pinnacle of unhealthiness.Especially since he was still in Bellatrix’s body.

‘Bellatrix… doing THIS to me… Ugh… What am I even thinking?! Forget it immediately!!!’

To erase the unhealthy images flooding his mind, Bellver shook his head violently. He didn’t forget to send a sharp glare toward Roho, the cause of his suffering.Roho, now somewhat accustomed, calmly received it and countered with a question.

“Not yet? You’ve been dating for three months, right? Nowadays, some couples do it on the first day.”“It’s unhealthy! Such acts should wait at least a year…”“You do plan to, right?”“No way!!”

Bellver really had no intention of doing such acts. How could he when they weren’t even official lovers? If Bellatrix ever pleaded earnestly, maybe he’d consider it…

“No!!!”
