Chapter 190: Chaos.
Jié Jié and his group were facing off against a Sakura Fire Dragon.
The continuous roars of the fire dragons had almost driven all nearby organisms away.
It wasn’t mating season, so the meeting of male and female fire dragons wouldn’t lead to any mushy feelings. Even among their own kind, one side would have to be expelled.
Compared to the regular female fire dragon, the Sakura Fire Dragon had harder shells, superior flight capabilities, stronger poison, and was more aggressive and proud.
Iron Pot and Wooden Ladle were seen as kids who hadn’t left home yet. Even the larger Jie Jie received mocking and derisive screeches from it.
But trying to out-roar Jie Jie—
“ROAR!!!”
Jie Jie’s head moved closer, sound waves erupted with his roar, shaking the ear drums of the Sakura Fire Dragon.
Its eyes instantly cleared up, its body swayed as it retreated.
It began raising its head repeatedly, attempting louder roars but found that no matter how loud it got, it couldn’t drown out the ringing in its ears caused by Jie Jie’s roar. It shrank back, meekly.
Behind Jie Jie, the other fire dragons unaffected by the sound waves, full of vitality, roared continuously at the Sakura Fire Dragon. Iron Pot even approached it closely, looking particularly annoying.
Seeing the five approaching fire dragons, the Sakura Fire Dragon glanced at the Dazzling Bird whose flesh had been mostly blown off by fireballs and slowly retreated.
Jie Jie watched as the Sakura Fire Dragon left. The children had grown up; eating fire dragon meat in front of them might not be a good influence, especially the meat of a female fire dragon.
He worried they’d bite off their partner’s neck after mating due to exhaustion and hunger.
The allure of the Sakura Fire Dragon meat didn’t surpass that of the Dazzling Bird.
He picked up the Dazzling Bird carcass and signaled for the fire dragons to find food on their own.
The Dazzling Bird lacked a shell, similar to the Scratcher Bird, both types having more bones than meat.
The best part of the bird dragon meat was concentrated in the thighs; roasted bird legs were a classic delicacy.
Unfortunately, he forgot to grab a grill from the investigation team again.
When he finished eating the half-cooked Dazzling Bird, the fire dragons returned with their hunt.
Besides common Fragrant Winged Dragons, there was another Dazzling Bird.
Dazzling Birds don’t mind sharing territory with their kin; seeing multiple in one area isn’t uncommon.
After finishing their meal, Jie Jie led them flying towards the upper layers of the Coral Land Plateau.
Breaking through the cloud layer using ascending air currents, looking back at the scenery beyond the Coral Land Plateau, the fire dragons realized how high they had flown.
It wasn’t because the clouds above the plateau were lower; the plateau itself was higher than other places, closer to the clouds.
Even after breaking through the clouds, it wasn’t the end of where the Coral Land grew. Climbing further amidst falling coral ash and eggs, they finally reached the topmost layer of the Coral Land Plateau.
There was no Qí Lín or Abyssal Wave Dragon here, only Wind Drift Dragons residing here, with others chasing after them.
Still hungry, Jie Jie didn’t hesitate, diving towards the calling Wind Drift Dragon.
Piercing cold winds were broken through effortlessly, his claws pressed the Wind Drift Dragon down from the sky, his fangs cleanly severing its throat.
No chance for an entanglement fight, this wasn’t a battle, but pure predation.
Jie Jie stepped away from the Wind Drift Dragon corpse, allowing space for the fire dragons to feast.
Young Wind Drift Dragons tasted better than old ones, feeling cooler when eaten.
The high-pitched roars of the fire dragons and the sharp cries of the Wind Drift Dragons filled their ears. Iron Pot didn’t join the feast but instead fought with other Wind Drift Dragons.
Answering Iron Pot’s call, the other fire dragons gradually left Jie Jie’s side, joining their brother to face the enemy.
Jie Jie carried the Wind Drift Dragon corpse to the best viewing platform, watching his offspring tangle with the Wind Drift Dragon group.
These young Wind Drift Dragons far surpassed the dying old ones around the Grand Canyon in vitality; they wouldn’t fall easily from just one fireball.
Whether it was Flame Breath or poisonous claws and tails, the fire dragons could effectively injure the Wind Drift Dragons.
“ROAR!”
Iron Pot was mimicking him, trying to directly pounce the Wind Drift Dragon to the ground but couldn’t exert the same overwhelming pressure, getting knocked away by other Wind Drift Dragons after pressing it down for a bit.
Wind Drift Dragons had much larger wingspans than the current male fire dragons. They swung their wings, flinging ice crystals onto the male fire dragons’ bodies, naturally countered by fireballs.
Fireballs exploded close range during the collision of two dragons, Iron Pot charged forward again, biting onto the Wind Drift Dragon with claws kicking and tearing, causing one to fall, leaving the battlefield.
Before it could regroup in the air, Wooden Ladle broke away from the horizontal attack circle, diving down to strike it, hitting it to the ground where they continued fighting.
On the other side, Porcelain Bowl was knocked down by a large Wind Drift Dragon but was well-protected by the fire dragon’s shell, lying on the ground biting onto the Wind Drift Dragon’s claw to prevent it from taking off.
The Wind Drift Dragon flapped its wings mid-air, shaking violently, throwing down many ice crystals impacting Porcelain Bowl.
This move was less effective against a fire dragon decided to stay grounded; Porcelain Bowl flipped over with help from her sibling, pulling it down into land combat.
Though fire dragons on the ground aren’t as efficient as chickens, Wind Drift Dragons are slower and more clumsy on land, once fallen, they’re pinned down tightly.
One Wind Drift Dragon quickly fell under the combined assault of poison and fire, while another successfully escaped.
But alone in the air, Iron Pot faltered, the icy wind covering him in frost.
Forced air cooling also dulled his breath weapon, leaving him shaking off frost on the ground.
The Wind Drift Dragon’s claws descended from the sky, constantly interrupting him until his brothers re-entered the aerial battle, allowing Iron Pot to focus on shaking off the frost.
But the cold wind kept coming, shaking some off only for more to pile up afterward.
Iron Pot sneaked a glance at his father.
At this moment, Jie Jie had transformed into a Spiny Dragon, his hard shell ignoring the attacks from the Wind Drift Dragon, merely observing the appearances of the fire dragons.
The form of the Spiny Dragon brought back some memories for Iron Pot, of imitating his father’s strenuous dance by the river.
It raised its chest, spread its wings, tensely holding its body with great effort, claws lifting and falling, beginning to step continuously.
More energy consumption made it difficult, more consumption meant generating more heat.
While stepping and shaking off frost, the rising heat melted the thin ice on its surface, the exhaled heat dissolved the incoming frost.
Unbound!
The male fire dragon soared again amidst the Wind Drift Dragon’s screams, killing the injured opponent on the ground.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
