Chapter 191: Dragon Crystal Land (Additional Chapter 7)
The Fire Dragons lay disheveled on the ground, panting heavily. Beside them, two Wind Drift Dragons had already fallen, and those still airborne were all injured; many had retreated.
There weren’t originally this many Wind Drift Dragons, but the intense battle here drew in more of them.
Unable to prevail in the air, they descended to fight on the ground. What should have been a swift territorial dispute turned into a fierce battle as the Fire Dragons refused to retreat.
On Coral Peak, Jié Jié ate steadily, ignoring the Wind Drift Dragons’ claw strikes and the biting cold wind, like a giant who didn’t care about ants gnawing at him.
Seeing the exhausted Fire Dragons, the giant dropped the remains of the Wind Drift Dragon and slowly stood up.
Snow-white frost was torn apart and melted by intimidating red rays; the cold could not suppress the scorching core within.
High-temperature fireballs sent the continuously attacking Wind Drift Dragons flying away, just as easily as blowing away an Acid Winged Dragon.
“Roar!!!”
The Spiny Dragon finally stood up, its roar drowning out the cries of the Wind Drift Dragons. The threatening red light from the patterns on its shell was enough to hurt their eyes.
The sound wave carried a bit of heat, and the fiery glare from Jié Jié’s mouth, like eyes, stared down the Wind Drift Dragon group, causing them to tremble and shake off icicles.
No monster wanted to be the first to try.
The Wind Drift Dragons barked bravely but simultaneously scattered.
The breath weapons they had been building up were swallowed back, with wisps of black smoke escaping from their mouths and noses.
A little remaining flame flew towards one of the coral peaks below.
The majestic creature atop the coral peak did not retreat, allowing the harmless sparks to land near its feet.
It was that Qí Lín again.
Every time Jié Jié saw this Qí Lín, he felt it was incredibly… spiritual.
Combined with the silver mane encircling his face, it resembled a wise elder.
There was always a suspicion that this guy might be the type who would issue commissions to guilds.
Or maybe he actually does?
Jié Jié let out a gentle roar towards the Qí Lín, watching him leap directly off the coral peak.
From such a height, hmm, even Jié Jié would hesitate.
He didn’t chase after the Qí Lín; using flash abilities in complex terrain with great height differences without a perfect net system made it impossible to catch him.
He expelled the heat inside his body through his mouth, dispersing it with the wind to increase the surrounding temperature and create a more comfortable environment for the injured young ones.
Jié Jié observed the Fire Dragons eating and resting, feeling time and the energy stored in his shell settle as he entered sleep.
The next day, they flew past the coral peak whose corner had been broken off by the Extinction Dragon.
Landing on this coral peak, they could still find the thorns left behind by the Extinction Dragon after a brief search.
How long can these thorns last without rotting? New growth always lags behind development.
After scratching at these clusters of thorns and reviewing them, Jié Jié took off again, heading towards a farther direction.
After flying for several days and nights, they arrived at the Grand Canyon north of the Coral Land Plateau.
Calling it a grand canyon might not be entirely accurate; the mountains here were layered upon each other, but they did not lead directly to the Valley of Miasma.
The multi-layered mountains formed a circle together with the southern Grand Canyon, enclosing the central plateau and valley.
Perhaps there are volcanoes within these mountains, as many Acid Winged Dragons nest on the mountaintops, serving as food during their flights through the mountains.
Completely opposite to the plump Acid Winged Dragons, these Acid Winged Dragons tasted terrible. After removing their thick scales, there was practically nothing left but bones, making it hard to confirm if any meat was truly tasted.
Observing the barren peaks ahead, the farthest horizon stretched horizontally, outlining the edges of the New Continent’s terrain.
Even after flying higher after being full, they still couldn’t see the legendary Dragon Crystal Land, but this did not hinder their continued advance.
Crossing layer upon layer of mountains, when Jié Jié looked down at the center of the mountains, he suddenly understood.
He had thought the Dragon Crystal Land would protrude from the ground, but in reality, it was buried between the mountains, with only a few massive white crystals marking its location from high altitudes.
“ROAR!!!”
Jié Jié let out a loud roar, leading the Fire Dragons straight toward the Dragon Crystal Land.
As they approached the Dragon Crystal Land, the radiation of Earth Pulse Energy became noticeably stronger, indicating an overall increase in intensity.
Although Jié Jié was very curious about the Dragon Crystal Land upon his “first arrival,” his enthusiasm gradually cooled down after not spotting any monsters other than Acid Winged Dragons while flying low.
The exposed mountain ground was empty, with only a few dragon crystals poking out of the surface, which indeed didn’t seem attractive to large monsters.
Jié Jié approached the massive dragon crystal pillar, feeling the immense energy condensed within.
But this energy was solid, like a “dead” solid.
Other than radiating energy fields around it, there seemed to be no other way to utilize it.
He constantly hovered in the air, watching the sparkling dragon crystal pillar reflect different colors at different angles.
Colors of various hues and combinations.
Jié Jié transformed into a Spiny Dragon mid-air and charged head-on into a relatively smaller crystal pillar.
“BOOM!”
The crystal pillar shattered and broke, sunlight bouncing endlessly between the fresh cross-section and the scattered small pieces of crystal, creating complex hues that mesmerized Jié Jié.
Like watching a kaleidoscope and continuously rotating the tube, captivated by every dazzling pattern created.
The broken crystal pillar fell to the ground, and a groan brought Jié Jié back to his senses, looking down.
A blue lump stood out prominently against the backdrop of the dragon crystal pillar.
It was a Rocky Thief Dragon; the rock debris beside it indicated it had previously buried itself halfway in the soil.
Jié Jié and the Fire Dragons had completely overlooked it.
He slowly descended, examining the Rocky Thief Dragon pinned under the broken crystal pillar.
With its somewhat vacant small eyes, its heavy lower jaw covering its upper jaw, and its obese body dragging along the ground, this monster should have been ugly.
But Jié Jié found it “ugly to the point of cuteness,” becoming increasingly adorable the more he looked.
Unfortunately, the Rocky Thief Dragon didn’t find the large flying dragon curiously observing it cute. Its vacant small eyes regained a bit of vitality, as if waking up from a dream.
Its heavy lower jaw opened, spewing out the explosive material made from combining dragon crystals and saliva stored before sleeping towards Jié Jié.
Meanwhile, it violently moved its body backward, trying to crawl out from under the crystal pillar.
Its obese body wriggled out of the shallow pit formed during sleep, but its bulky head got stuck, leaving it to twist its body and struggle helplessly.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
