Chapter 2: Come On, Let Me See!

Chapter 2: Come On, Let Me See!

Aierjisi confided her worries to Ailin.

“I see, so you’re worried about this issue? Hmm… your concern is valid.”

Ailin had been worried about this too. After all, in the game, players’ characters would undergo three job changes: the first at level 15, the second at level 35, and the third at level 99. Now they had only just completed their first job change, and it was obviously impossible to fight those Ultimate Life Forms with just that.

However, the mission for the second job change at level 35 required them to meet a certain character. But whether that character even existed in this world was uncertain.

“So what should we do next? Without finding that person, we can’t unlock the second upgrade. With our current strength, we can’t defeat those Ultimate Life Forms. It’s really driving me crazy.”

Aierjisi tugged at her hair, on the verge of losing it. She truly didn’t know what to do next.

“Alright, alright, don’t be so anxious. There’s a saying, isn’t there? ‘Good people have heavenly help.’ Even if you fret and worry, it’s useless. Relax, just relax.”

Ailin patted Aierjisi’s shoulder to ease her anxiety. Things that can’t be found no matter how hard you stress won’t just appear. And, somehow, Ailin felt that when the time came for them to accept their second job change, that person would naturally appear before them. For now, they should focus on strengthening themselves.

“How can you tell me to relax in this situation? We could be caught and sacrificed by them at any moment!”

Even after Ailin’s comforting words, Aierjisi couldn’t shake off the tension. The current situation wasn’t exactly conducive to relaxation.

“But you stressing out like this isn’t helpful either. Look at you, Aierjisi, you’re so anxious. As your servant, shouldn’t Yake help relieve your stress a bit?”

“Ah… You’re right, but I don’t know how to help.”

Yake knew he was supposed to support her, but he really wasn’t sure what to do.

“It’s easy, let me show you how.”

Ailin grabbed Yake and pulled him beside Aierjisi, shoving them both onto the bed.

“What are we doing?”

“It’s simple! What do you think a guy and a girl sleeping on the same bed would do? Surely, you both know, right? Since worrying isn’t helpful, why not make the most of the moment and have fun?”

Gaia was right, Ailin’s way of thinking was indeed a bit strange. Even Aierjisi, who was usually understanding, couldn’t quite grasp what she was trying to say.

“What’s wrong? Why are you two looking at me like that? You don’t want to have some fun together, do you? A 3P? If that’s the case, I wouldn’t mind at all!”

“No… that’s not what we mean! What are you trying to do? This clearly isn’t the right time for that!”

“Isn’t it?”

“How could it be?!”

Aierjisi unceremoniously tossed Yake, who was lying on top of her, to the side and sat up on the bed.

“Alright, alright, don’t be so mad. I was just kidding! No need to get all upset now.”

Seeing the Little Princess getting riled up, Ailin realized she might have pushed the joke too far and quickly apologized.

“However, I do want to say, sometimes being too anxious can work against you and put you in a tougher situation. In any circumstance, you need to stay calm or relaxed. Only then can things unfold as you wish.”

“But the current situation…”

“The current situation is indeed bleak, right? I know that too. But we still need to relax because stressing out won’t help. Besides, since you’re back, why not go for a walk instead of resting in the Royal Palace? It could really lift your spirits. That’s about all I wanted to say. Whether you take my suggestion is up to you. I’m heading back now. Bye-bye!”

After finishing her thoughts, Ailin waved goodbye and left the room, returning to Gaia’s side.

“Um… Yake, what do you think about Ailin’s suggestion? Should we go for a walk together?”

Once Aierjisi calmed down, she seriously considered Ailin’s advice and realized it wasn’t bad. She had indeed been too anxious and lost her usual composure. A walk would probably be a good idea.

“If you think it’s a good idea, then I also agree it could be worth considering. It’s been a long time since we’ve gone out for a stroll together, so let’s do that.”

“Mhm. That does make sense. But before that, I think there’s some truth to what she said. Come on, Yake. Before going out, let’s have some fun. Today, I definitely want to see if your physical development is normal.”

Aierjisi reached out to start taking off her clothes, seemingly reverting to her usual self.

Seeing the Little Princess back to her old self, Yake let out a sigh of relief, which meant she finally relaxed. But it also meant he had once again become her prey.

“I really don’t think that’s a good idea. Let’s save that for another time.”

“Hey! How can you say that? It’s not every day you get a chance to live, so why not enjoy it to the fullest? Come on, don’t be shy! We’re not kids anymore!”

Aierjisi seized him as he tried to escape, pinning him firmly on the bed.

“No! Didn’t she just say it was a joke? Why are you taking it seriously?”

“I’m taking it seriously. What’s wrong with that?”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea. You should wake up to reality!”

“I’m as awake as can be! Come on, we’ve known each other for so long. Besides, we’ve fused before. What’s the harm in merging once more?”

“That’s completely different! Don’t conflate the two!”

Yake’s roar echoed across the bed, but it was utterly useless. Aierjisi ignored his protests and moved closer to him.
