Chapter 221: No Talking.
The vast sky stretched out like a blank sheet of paper, an unrestricted space save for the pull of gravity.
For Ice Curse Dragon, the only obstacles in the air were Jié Jié as a single point and the vertical dotted lines emanating from that point.
Dotted lines are just lines; they could be avoided.
The relentless pursuit blocked her path ahead, but it was still merely a point, not a plane that prevented her flight.
The spread-out dotted lines were just lines—not something she couldn’t fly over.
It’s always easier to be the one running away than the one chasing. Moreover, Ice Curse Dragon was genuinely altering the color of this space while escaping.
Ice Curse Dragon’s slim body had little more than its tail to rely on in close combat, but when it came to changing the climate, she surpassed ordinary Ancient Dragons.
She represented the polar regions and cold zones, symbolizing the catastrophic cold waves where cold air masses invade mid-to-low latitudes.
The spreading chill would transform into strong winds, frost, and snow disasters, causing unimaginable effects on temperate climate zones.
Fortunately, all these required time.
After a series of failed pursuits and blockades, Jié Jié realized he must act decisively.
He needed to knock Ice Curse Dragon out of the sky, choose his battlefield, and quell her rekindled battle intent.
Flame King Dragon’s fire domain made Jié Jié like a blazing sun, repelling the cold’s influence on him.
Energy accumulated over a long period transformed into Flame Dragon Rolls, spreading across the airspace ahead to form a blockade. Meanwhile, he hovered higher than Ice Curse Dragon, suppressing the center of the sky.
Whether Ice Curse Dragon tried to circumvent or fly over, attacking from above provided ample reaction opportunities.
Ice Curse Dragon dove, attempting to break through the weakest part of the Flame Dragon Roll at its base.
She wasn’t stupid—how could the same move work twice?
Jié Jié also dove, capturing the moment when Ice Curse Dragon became unstable due to wind pressure.
In Flame King Dragon form, utilizing Steel Dragon’s abilities for acceleration, he transformed into Extinction Dragon.
Extinction Dragon, with its fiercer claws and more robust limbs.
The advantage of high-altitude diving was maximized, trying to make Ice Curse Dragon fear before winter arrived.
A hit.
He hugged Ice Curse Dragon tightly as they crashed into a narrow valley, pinning her beneath him.
Sharp claws pierced into Ice Curse Dragon’s shell, instantly freezing without any neutralization from her domain.
Her chest crushed ice spines, continuously spraying cooling water, freezing her torso.
She was cold to the bone.
But the muscles of Extinction Dragon tightened, shattering the encasing ice layer.
Cold vapor could endlessly diffuse, and ice layers could endlessly accumulate, but Ice Curse Dragon didn’t have unlimited time.
The raised claw clenched slightly, breaking the icy crown horn with a punch.
“Grunt!”
Ice Curse Dragon groaned, trying to raise her head to unleash Cold Stream Breath onto Jié Jié’s body. Her four limbs struggled ceaselessly.
“Crash!”
A slap pressed her head into the ground, the Cold Stream Breath forming a vertical icicle at the foot of the nearby mountain.
Claws ascended along Ice Curse Dragon’s neck, stroking her startled pupils before gripping her beak-like snout to shut her mouth.
Cold vapor leaked, instead freezing his claws to her snout.
Struggles from other parts of Ice Curse Dragon intensified. Her wings flapped and were pressed down by Jié Jié’s forelimb, but her hind limbs remained planted on the ground to stabilize her front limbs.
Her four limbs and tail thrashed about, especially the tail, making his nerves go wild.
His entire lower half was within range of her flexible tail’s attacks, receiving multiple hits.
Moreover, the chilled air spreading around was condensing into ice, chunk after chunk smashing against his body.
Lifting his frozen claw from Ice Curse Dragon’s snout, he smashed her skull with a punch, finally calming her tail.
He couldn’t let Ice Curse Dragon run rampant. Lowering his head, he began gnawing off chunks of her shell.
Though there were gains, this action triggered a massive counterattack from Ice Curse Dragon.
The constantly falling ice and the cold vapor filling the air, combined with the cooling water erupting from Ice Curse Dragon’s body, no longer solely affected Jié Jié but also herself.
An ice explosion enveloped both dragons, separating them with a tremendous impact force.
After standing up, Ice Curse Dragon panted heavily, her gaze fixed on Jié Jié with heightened vigilance.
Her stamina was depleted, needing to replenish her internal cooling water reserves, while the monster in front of her remained lively and energetic, with no clear way to escape.
The previous pursuits and recent suppression had almost extinguished Ice Curse Dragon’s battle intent.
The Flame Dragon Roll in the sky had dissipated without control, leaving the vast sky open for flight. She aimed toward Coral Land Plateau, this time to replenish large amounts of water.
She could capture frozen moisture from the air, but it was far too little.
Jié Jié sensed his goal was achieved and began reflecting if he’d pushed too hard.
The problem was, no matter how he fought Ice Curse Dragon, she couldn’t understand his purpose and respond accordingly.
If it was about driving her out of the territory, Ice Curse Dragon had already left Dragon Crystal Land.
Should he conduct another expulsion in various areas to clarify his exclusion zone is the entire New Continent?
Ice Curse Dragon’s battle intent faded again, and the cold air spread still had time. Slowing down his chase to observe for a while was an option yet untried.
Jié Jié transformed back into Flame King Dragon, burning abundant fuel stones inside his body. The flames’ heat radiated from his shell, neutralizing the surrounding cold air.
No more frantic pursuits this time; he simply trailed Ice Curse Dragon’s tracks, keeping a distance behind her.
On the way, he saw many Winged Dragons frozen solid, accompanied by traces of her feeding.
Jié Jié himself was hungry too. Transforming into Spiny Dragon form, he decided to taste the frozen meat prepared by Ice Curse Dragon.
The outer ice was brittle and cool, but the inner meat was exceptionally stiff, easily splitting with the bite of his teeth.
Not swallowing immediately, he held it in his mouth, a bit of coolness diffusing, stimulating his taste buds differently from scorching blood.
That crisp icy sensation? He loved it.
When he finished eating and returned to the sky, Coral Land Plateau was very close, and Ice Curse Dragon had shrunk into a small dot like a common Winged Dragon.
Jié Jié watched her from afar as she attacked other creatures around her and plunged her head into soft coral to replenish water.
After doing all this, Ice Curse Dragon sat quietly in place as she had done in the cave before, resting. However, the cold did not stop spreading during her rest.
Just as he observed for a while and planned to approach, another black spot entered his field of vision, engaging Ice Curse Dragon in combat first.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
