Chapter 225

Chapter 225: Ominous Signs.

The Earth Mother flipped, and though the Fierce Claw Dragon didn’t turn into blueberry jam, its slender limbs were battered to pieces, blood mixing with dragon energy in a vivid display.

But no worries! Jié Jié, watching from the sidelines, used the magma pool to slide and leap into the air. With an elegant jump slash, his elongated beak cleanly split open the side of the Fierce Claw Dragon, piercing deep inside.

With a small opening of his mouth, compressed magma erupted forth, warming the Fierce Claw Dragon’s chest and giving its tragic life a heartwarming conclusion.

Jié Jié dragged the Fierce Claw Dragon to the edge of the magma pool, munching on it while watching the Glittering Dragon beat up the Terror Tyrant.

Just like the Grim Claw Dragon, the Fierce Claw Dragon wasn’t very tasty, but the nourishing extract within provided ample energy for a short burst of power.

A whiff of the bloody aroma seemed to reach the enraged Terror Tyrant’s nose, causing him to abandon the heavily armored Glittering Dragon and charge towards Jié Jié instead.

Even if he couldn’t hunt down the Flame Sword Dragon, at least he could claim the corpse of the Fierce Claw Dragon.

What about the Glittering Dragon?

The Glittering Dragon didn’t chase after them, seemingly content to watch Jié Jié battle the enraged Terror Tyrant.

And that Flame Sword Dragon which had been following her all along—did it spark some thoughts in her mind?

Protecting food was crucial. Though peace had been made with the Glittering Dragon, transforming might still irritate her sensitive nerves.

No big deal, this was the magma pool after all.

He threw the not-so-delicious Fierce Claw Dragon onto the molten lava to roast, then shot a stream of magma toward the Terror Tyrant.

The Flame Sword Dragon’s snout structure wasn’t suited for storing fireballs, but its natural magma breath was powerful. A chunk of magma struck the Terror Tyrant, producing the sizzling sound of melting flesh and blood.

A massive boulder was sent flying into the magma pool by the Terror Tyrant’s head, exploding upon impact.

Though the Flame Sword Dragon disappeared from the magma pool, its iron sails could still be seen on the rocky ground, along with shattered stones from the pressure.

Jié Jié leaped like a shark through the rocks, his bone-hard beak aiming straight for the Terror Tyrant’s chest, intent on showing it the true warmth of this world.

The hard beak pierced into the Terror Tyrant’s body, but before it could deliver the warmth, it was violently shaken off.

The Terror Tyrant retreated while biting, but the thirty-meter Flame Sword Dragon katana was far beyond its control.

In an instant, Jié Jié broke free, flapping against the ground to soar high, driving his long beak downward into the Terror Tyrant’s body once again.

It felt just like when he often transformed into the Black Wolf Bird form for activities.

Compressed magma entered the Terror Tyrant’s body; such injuries were catastrophic for most monsters. Even the healing muscle layers under pressure couldn’t escape being ignited.

Facing attribute damage, the gushing dragon energy gradually dissipated the heat of the magma, but the real magma still caused severe damage before turning into molten rock.

The Flame Sword Dragon twisted with the longer body of the Terror Tyrant, the impact separating them instantly, with the backward hooks on its snout inflicting additional damage.

Faced with the frenzied Terror Tyrant after suffering heavy injuries, Jié Jié chose not to fight it to the death, retreating back to the magma pool to gnaw on the Fierce Claw Dragon meat.

Who would fight to the death with a frenzied Terror Tyrant? Run as far away as possible!

With wild spitting, smashing, and even dragon energy spewing, the beast-dragon species’ madness reached its peak, so she decided to flee.

However, a small accident occurred during the escape.

The liquefied ground trapped the Terror Tyrant, and its head slamming down while digging further crushed it into the earth.

This minor mishap didn’t stop the Glittering Dragon from continuing her escape. Only Jié Jié stared wide-eyed at the vanished Terror Tyrant.

If compared to a traffic accident, the Terror Tyrant was probably smeared across the car hood, yet it didn’t affect the female driver continuing to drive.

This journey might have allowed it to merge into the rock layers, saving tens of thousands of years of detours, skipping crustal movements entirely, and prematurely becoming scattered fossils.

Nothing could hinder the Glittering Dragon’s escape—not a thing.

But this didn’t stop Jié Jié from rushing to hitch a ride. An accident without stopping could be considered a bonus for someone in a hurry.

When dragons hang on skirts, there’s bound to be a crash.

The accident on the car hood had already vanished in the ongoing accidents. When the female driver turned around and pulled out her skirt, she finally noticed Jié Jié rudely draped over the top half of her dress.

Fortunately, the Flame Sword Dragon’s face was covered in molten rock, making it unrecognizable as an enemy.

Apparently, this was the first time the Glittering Dragon encountered such a situation. With one flick of her tail, she sent Jié Jié flying.

She cautiously approached again, studying this persistent eel-like creature whose length reached three-quarters of hers.

Jié Jié shook off the molten rock from his face and locked eyes with the Glittering Dragon who was poking him with her claws.

The Glittering Dragon’s gentleness vanished; she lowered her head and began heating the ground to dig, intending to flee.

She wanted to escape, despite having no hostility.

Equally startled, Jié Jié jumped aside, dodging the Glittering Dragon’s escape route, and latched onto her skirt once more.

The Glittering Dragon paused in various caves, but each time she looked back, she saw this persistent eel.

Finally, the Earth Mother turned around, letting out an angry roar:

“Grunt!”

The Flame Sword Dragon released its grip on the Glittering Dragon’s tail. His entire body, covered in molten rock, cracked apart as he transformed. His emerald wings unfolded, shaking off the molten rock from his head, and Jié Jié stood in Spiny Dragon form facing the Glittering Dragon.

Currently, following the Glittering Dragon underground was quite intriguing. If he could defeat her, he could search for the Míng Dēng Lóng more efficiently on his own.

But this Glittering Dragon kept growing stronger. Although his own strength had improved, it hadn’t reached a qualitative leap yet.

And this terrain wasn’t suitable either.

Jié Jié chose to retreat in their standoff, flying away from the current cave and opting to return to the mountainous surface to find the Steel Dragon for a beating.

The Earth Mother watched the flying dragon leave, lowering her head to continue digging and leaving the area.

Without the shock brought by Jié Jié, the Glittering Dragon focused on adsorbing minerals onto her body, carrying them back to the Golden Land.

The underground cave network was intricate, but her memory of the geomagnetic field prevented her from getting lost.

Through a radar-like perception akin to the geomagnetic field, besides her own Golden Land, she detected two other marks within the Dragon Crystal Land.

One led her to the rich mineral deposits of the Flame King Dragon’s nest, where she also met the shape-shifting entity again in the Dragon Crystal Land.

So what about the other mark?

She halted her downward digging, turned a corner, and ascended toward the direction of that mark.

Meanwhile, beneath the Odd-Faced Tribe’s main base, in the thorny land of dragon crystals—

The life form within the egg sensed the approach of a massive energy source.

Its fragile limbs began trembling restlessly, the weak light of life shining brightly.

But regardless of what that energy source was, no other parts of the geothermal veins responded to its call, amplifying the resonance it emitted.

One less sibling meant one more piece of cake.

The eldest son’s thoughts flickered slightly before retreating once more into dormancy.
