Chapter 226: Her Birth.
Today was yet another terrible day for the Odd-Faced Tribe. The Extinction Dragon once again wandered around the Dragon Crystal thorny area, emitting agitated growls.
The monster covered in spines seemed to be searching for something, but the Odd-Faced Tribe had no intention of helping and instead attacked it to defend their territory.
“○◎○, ◎(╬ ̄皿 ̄)=○!”
Paralyzing throwing knives, poison throwing knives, explosive bombs, even dragonfruit-enhanced firearms were deployed.
The Extinction Dragon’s counterattack crushed thorn after thorn, forcing the Odd-Faced Tribe to continuously retreat, slipping through gaps in the thorns back to their main base.
But after driving the tribe back, the Extinction Dragon returned to a distance and continued pacing, occasionally scratching at the ground with its claws.
Behind barriers of layered Dragon Crystals and thorns, the Odd-Faced Tribe regrouped in front of their main camp.
Leading them was a large Odd-Faced member with three black-and-gold masks on his head.
“○◎○, ◎○○! ^(。`Д´。)ノ彡”
“○◎○○——”
“(╯°Д°)╯”
The clamor of the beastmen suddenly ceased as their bodies stiffened, though the decorative trinkets on them still trembled lightly.
An earthquake?
“◎○◎○(▼皿▼#)!”
As all the beastmen fell silent, the Odd-Faced King atop the highest point roared louder than the earthquake itself, landing like Superman and walking out of the thorn passage.
The Odd-Faced Tribe stared at each other before bursting with incredible morale, loudly supporting the Odd-Faced King as they prepared to repel the monster wreaking havoc.
The Extinction Dragon was indeed in a frenzy, constantly impacting the ground, undoubtedly taking the blame as the true source of the earthquake.
— Underground —
The Glittering Dragon stopped its weaving motions because what lay ahead was no longer rock layers but hard Dragon Crystals.
These crystal pillars, stacked like bones, reflected high temperatures and resisted melting.
Dì Mǔ Shén’s eyes burned with inexplicable anger. With her current intellect, she couldn’t piece everything together to find an answer, but her senses pointed her in the right direction.
Natural Enemy.
Her mountain-like body continuously collided with the hard Dragon Crystals, vibrations resonating through the crystals and conducting upwards to the surface.
Within the central Dragon Crystal cocoon, the life form curled up in trembling fear, trying desperately to hide.
The defense of the nest was gradually breaking down, like an unfamiliar midnight knock on the door.
Surrounding energy no longer just nurtured; it flowed through the cocoon’s threads into the semi-transparent body, making it increasingly solid.
Not enough.
The greedy demand received a response, or perhaps the chaotic thoughts sought more.
A gamble-like action, using a sibling as bait.
Attract threats, eliminate threats, make cake, become cake.
One sibling, many uses.
The dormant thoughts leapt up again, unable to be restrained.
The Light of Life flowed through Earth Pulse Energy into the sibling’s body, piercing through her consciousness.
Though the chaotic consciousness failed to achieve full resonance, it could still provide some guidance.
Energy surged into the young dragon’s body, instantly digesting within the red organ in her chest. The translucent glowing body hardened into a darker form.
Without support from combat skills, this battle-tested individual stood.
But this forced growth also meant fixation, cutting off normal development before she even completed the evolution of wings and differentiation of toes!
The cocoon was easily torn apart by the hardened body, revealing a slightly deformed head with orange pupils that hadn’t fully formed, resembling six glowing organs dotted on two black horns.
She has come into the world—crippled.
No one cheered for her.
Chaotic eyes couldn’t stop her from looking toward the massive source of energy, opening her mouth.
Scattered energy gathered, internal energy surged upward.
Eliminate the threat.
One use of the pawn.
Baby-like broken cries
She cried for herself.
The breath weapon approached its limit and was unleashed.
The nearly shattered Dragon Crystals fragmented, silver shards vanishing under pure light beams, striking the Glittering Dragon’s head.
“Hmph Roar!”
Dì Mǔ Shén wailed, thick mineral deposits on her curled horns beginning to fall off.
The breath weapon interrupted—not because the critical energy had stabilized, but because the young dragon wasn’t proficient in controlling it.
Cry
Once again, the pure light beam struck Dì Mǔ Shén’s body, visible dents forming on her golden armor.
Air distorted, intangible heat wave breath carving fiery paths, hitting the young dragon’s cocoon.
The white cocoon burned, unable to sustain the young dragon inside any longer.
The young dragon fell with her head hanging down, exposing her disabled body.
Her massive body should have had matching wings, but now, the ends were incomplete, merely replaced by meager feathered veils.
Energy flowed between the tail only having rough contours, a gelatinous layer hardened, replacing scales and shells.
Toe erosion was incomplete; only two or three fingers could separate and support her standing.
Even getting up was staggeringly difficult for her, falling onto the ground. A light cannon instinctively shot out from her mouth, destroying more Dragon Crystals with her movements.
From the perspective of her own species, she was a newborn baby dragon.
But from the outside world, she was already a forty-meter-plus Ultra-Large Monster, almost as long as the Glittering Dragon, with her explosive light cannons capable of causing terrifying damage.
Earth Pulse Energy continued to flow into her body, triggering a second critical state.
Like how flying dragons release breath to regulate temperature, to adjust the critical energy within her, energy cannons erupted from her mouth, continuously destroying the cave.
The core of the earthquake had shifted from the Glittering Dragon to her.
The energy in the light cannon focused into a near-tangible density, spraying out in beams and exploding upon decompression.
The young dragon staggered backward repeatedly under the force of her breath, until her body hit the rock wall made of Dragon Crystals.
She looked like a pitiful little thing curled up in the corner, but in her hands was an illegal laser cannon.
The Glittering Dragon who got stuck in the door had already broken it, but the rock layers and giant Dragon Crystal columns shattered under the random sweeps of the light cannon, collapsing onto her and blocking her path.
Ruins were being continuously broken open as Dì Mǔ Shén met incoming light beams with heat wave breath.
The continuous burning of pure Earth Pulse Energy beneath the Dragon Crystals scorched the young dragon, but she didn’t fear the heat.
In the torrent of breath weapons, scorching heat was merely a side effect.
The purity of the birthplace’s Earth Pulse Energy was evident from the surrounding Dragon Crystals, and Ancient Dragon’s Dragon Attribute Energy was also converging within her breath.
The tangible impact pierced through the intangible heat.
The Glittering Dragon’s head tilted back in wailing agony, saliva dripping from its mouth.
The organ regulating body temperature malfunctioned due to the foreign Dragon Attribute Energy impact.
When it came to breath duels, the heat wave generator clearly couldn’t match the laser cannon.
Then, the colossal creature charged forward.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
