023 Cornelia Learned Memory Erasure Magic
In the cooking classroom.
“Report! I have shouted one hundred times!”
Baron Bachel exclaimed energetically.
“Good, now tell me everything you know about this school,” Dekan said, standing by the window and looking out at the view.
Dekan had been wandering around the cooking classroom, inspecting everything.
He discovered that outside the window was an abyss with no bottom in sight.
The whole school seemed to be a small island floating above a purgatory.
It seemed impossible to run off the map.
“What information do you want to know?” Baron Bachel asked, a bit tremulously.
He feared that if he spoke a bunch of nonsense, he might anger Dekan.
Dekan pondered for a moment and walked over to where Cornelia was standing on Baron Bachel.
He pulled out a red demon pass from Cornelia’s pocket and waved it in front of Baron Bachel.
“What is it used for?” Dekan asked.
“This is a demon pass, awarded by teachers to outstanding students. With it, even if you encounter the principal in the hallway during class time, you can present it to them—avoiding one attack, and the principal won’t attack you again for half an hour,” Baron Bachel replied.
“Do you have a demon pass?” Dekan asked.
“I have one,” Baron Bachel answered.
“Where is it?”
“In my coat pocket.”
“Alright, I understand.”
Dekan didn’t intend to let Baron Bachel go to retrieve the pass just yet.
Although Baron Bachel had been subdued, such a cowardly demon couldn’t be fully trusted.
Dekan’s body was quite fragile; if given a chance, Baron Bachel could kill him.
Even though Dekan had already donned the Thorn Crown, he was still afraid of pain.
Dekan said, “Next, tell me the location of every facility in this school and the characteristics of the teachers.”
Baron Bachel hesitated for a moment before answering, “…I don’t know everything about the other teachers, as they frequently change.”
It seemed the casualty rate among teachers at this school was also quite high.
“Do you know who the strongest teacher in the school is?” Dekan asked.
“Without a doubt, it’s the principal. However, the principal may not always be in the school; they only appear at certain random times, so there’s a chance a teacher might act against the rules if pushed too hard. Furthermore, the principal only hunts down teachers who violate the rules,” Baron Bachel replied.
Dekan nodded.
This indicated that the rules could be used to counter the teachers, but using the rules to force a teacher to their death would be somewhat difficult.
In the case of being at the end of the rope, they would certainly choose to fight to the death.
Nonetheless, Dekan felt a bit curious.
The principal hunts teachers—not threatening students, so they shouldn’t be a BOSS.
If the principal wasn’t a BOSS, could there be other dangerous teachers?
“Besides the principal and the director, are there any particularly dangerous or extraordinary faculty members?”
Even though task target 2 had been completed, Dekan was still very interested in the BOSS information.
If he had confidence, he would attempt to challenge the BOSS room.
The rewards for completing a realm in the Shadow World correlate with his own final evaluation and with the enemies he defeats, the deeds he accomplishes, and the loot he obtains.
If he didn’t challenge the BOSS room, even if he completed the realm, the rewards would be lesser.
In other theme realms, Dekan wouldn’t be overly greedy for rewards.
But this was a demon-themed realm.
If he achieved an SSS rank and completed the BOSS room, he had a great chance of obtaining extremely valuable demon materials or items.
These could potentially be useful for repairing “Master.”
Only for “Master” would Dekan consider taking that risk.
Of course, “Master” wouldn’t want Dekan to push himself too hard.
If it were too dangerous, he would rationally give up on the BOSS room.
Baron Bachel thought for a moment and said, “I’ve heard of Miss Olive from the Demon Laboratory. She is always conducting terrifying experiments, and there are even rumors that she often disregards the school rules, but to this day, she hasn’t been caught by the principal.”

This demon named Olive was most likely the one mentioned in the task who tortured humans!
The humans to be rescued were probably in her laboratory.
Undoubtedly, this was the BOSS room.
“Continue,” Dekan urged.
“That’s all. The Demon Laboratory is far from the cooking classroom; we hardly have contact with it.”
“…Then describe the school map, classroom information, and the teacher intelligence you know,” Dekan commanded.

Baron Bachel spent nearly half an hour providing Dekan with information.
During that time, Dekan sat at the long table, recording and organizing the information based on Baron Bachel’s accounts.
He roughly sketched a map, filling it with annotations.
“This is absurd. It’s my first time seeing a school where you need to interrogate the teachers to learn. I’m exhausted.”
After confirming there was no more valuable information from Baron Bachel, Dekan put down his pen, leaned back in his chair, and stretched.
Hearing Dekan’s lament, Cornelia hesitated to speak.
Even in the Demon Academy, it wouldn’t typically happen that “students learn through interrogating teachers.”
Dekan looked at Cornelia and smiled slightly, “Cornelia, thank you for your hard work.”
From the moment they captured Baron Bachel, Cornelia had been suppressing him for nearly an hour.
“Easy-peasy,” Cornelia replied.
She didn’t even feel tired in the slightest.
As long as she didn’t have to think, she considered it a recreational activity.
“Lastly, I need you to erase his memory,” Dekan said to Cornelia.
“How do you erase a demon’s memory?” Cornelia asked, a bit puzzled.
She had never delved into mental or soul magic.
Dekan smiled silently. In Baron Bachel’s terrified gaze, he summoned the Ruined Bard.
Cornelia furrowed her brows, deep in thought.
She blinked her eyes.
Suddenly, it seemed she understood.
Next, Cornelia gripped the hammer handle tightly and unhesitatingly brought it down on Baron Bachel’s head.
“Boom!!!”
The entire classroom erupted with a sound as if the ground were about to collapse.
Baron Bachel’s head was smashed into the floor, causing spider web-like cracks to spread from its center.
While the blow didn’t crush Baron Bachel’s head, it did break the war hammer.
The entire hammer handle bent, turning back into a non-functional card.
Cornelia pressed her toe against the slumped Baron Bachel and gently flipped him over.
She saw his eyes roll back, completely unconscious.
“Does he still have a breath left?” Dekan asked.
“Yes, he’s just fainted,” Cornelia replied.
She could still sense Baron Bachel’s lingering life energy.
This demon, at least level five, had a robust body and very strong vitality.
However, after receiving Cornelia’s full-powered strike to the head and enduring 20 times the pain, even if he didn’t lose his memory, he would likely be left in a daze.
“Goodness, my Buddha is merciful,” Dekan said, raising one hand in a gesture of admiration.
Baron Bachel still had use; he couldn’t just let him expire like that.
“Where to next?” Cornelia asked, ignoring the unconscious Baron Bachel.
Dekan glanced at the time; about two hours and four minutes had passed since they entered the quest.
There were twenty-six minutes left until the next class bell rang.
“Let’s take a half-hour break first; you should eat something,” Dekan said to Cornelia.
They didn’t need to risk going out right now.
Moreover, they did need to rest a bit.
After all, when experienced life, one must balance work and relaxation.
