Chapter 26: Dekan Presents Him with the Flower of Hope
Baron Bachel’s eyes turned blood red, as if they were about to overflow with tears of blood.
“Aaaahh!!!”
Like a madman, he sprinted toward the tiny figure. At the same time, Dekan’s toy began to run as well, its little legs moving as fast as it could.
Just as Baron Bachel was about to grab it, the toy pushed open a classroom door and darted inside.
Without hesitation, Baron Bachel rushed into the classroom as well.
Following his entrance, roars of terror and the scent of blood filled the classroom, like a ferocious tiger running amuck in a sheep pen.
From a distance, Dekan and Cornelia, who were hiding in a corner on the other side of the corridor, peeked out cautiously.
“Are you going to discard that card?”
Cornelia asked, referring to the very card that summoned Baron Bachel into the classroom just now. If the summoned creature is defeated and the summoner is not nearby, they would be unable to recall it, and the card would be lost forever. Dekan’s toy, which lured away Baron Bachel just now, was about to revert back into a card, which Baron Bachel in his frenzy would inevitably destroy.
“It’s fine. Captain De’Erkan is inexpensive to produce. I can mass-produce them.”
Dekan explained, waving two identical cards he still had left in his hand towards Cornelia.

Dekan’s plan was to treat Baron Bachel in the medical room, drive him insane, and if luck was on their side, even grant Baron Bachel a bit of power-up before using Captain De’Erkan to attract him to blow up a classroom.
Once Baron Bachel eliminated the teachers in the classroom, Dekan could easily sweep through the room!

“At this rate, Cornelia, after Baron Bachel plows through a few more classrooms, we’ll proceed with boosting our exploration rate further. That should about cover our contribution of exploration points. If we manage to acquire critical information about the boss along the way, we’ll get rid of her. Otherwise, we won’t take the risk.”
Dekan explained their next move to Cornelia.
It was currently class time, yet the two strolled through the corridor as if they were merely out for a walk.
Dekan felt a little bored.
He was dissatisfied with how slowly Baron Bachel was dealing with his enemies.
It had been almost ten minutes, and still, Baron Bachel hadn’t cleared the classroom.
“Alright, I’ll follow your lead,” Cornelia agreed with a pleasant nod.
She disliked neither fighting nor playing around, whatever their next move may be.
“Right now, we have the Cooking Classroom as our safehouse. Once we deal with the principal, this school will be at our disposal.”
Dekan said.
“I’m starting to feel a bit reluctant to return to Hewenlit Academy…”
Cornelia couldn’t help but remark.
“Oh yeah, Cornelia.”
Suddenly, Dekan remembered something significant and said seriously, “There’s actually one part of the information that Baron Bachel gave me that caught my attention.”
“What?”
Upon hearing this, Cornelia’s expression slightly turned more serious.
“The principal’s office… There’s a swimming pool!”

Strangely, this male and female showed no signs of panic or any intention of fleeing.
Instead, they calmly handed the principal a red ticket each.

Dekan and Cornelia didn’t even spare the principal a glance, just shoved the Demon Passes into his hands and continued their conversation. As they passed by him, Dekan even patted the principal’s shoulder.
The principal: “…”
He had dealt with unruly students before, but never ones this unruly.
According to the rules, the principal could not attack this pair of students again for the next half hour.
The principal stood there for a long while, unable to settle his feelings.
When did it happen…
That students no longer feared him?

“Seems like it’s quiet.”
Cornelia leaned against the wall, her ear pressed against it, judging the rough situation in the nearby classroom.
Dekan nodded, summoning the second Captain De’Erkan. He controlled it to scamper to the classroom door, pushed it open, and waved its little hands cheerfully inside before turning around and running towards a nearby room.
Almost immediately, the whole corridor erupted into chaos again.
Baron Bachel came rushing out once more, chasing Captain De’Erkan into the next room.
However, Dekan noticed Baron Bachel was heavily injured this time.
“Father Bakka! Baron Bachel, you can’t fall yet!”
Dekan shouted from afar as he watched Baron Bachel dash into the classroom.
Baron Bachel still had some fight left in him.
They could still squeeze the rest of Bachel’s remaining value out.

About twenty minutes passed.
“Should be done by now, it’s quiet.”
Cornelia once again, in a prone position against the wall, stated.
It seemed Baron Bachel’s power had decreased significantly, the fights dragging on longer.
Dekan summoned his last Captain De’Erkan and ordered it to run to the same room’s door and dance.
Then as expected, it turned around and ran into another classroom.
Without a doubt, even in his heavily battered state, Baron Bachel roared furiously and rushed into the classroom following Captain De’Erkan.
“Baron Bachel.”
“Your destination isn’t important. As long as you keep moving forward, it’s fine. As long as you don’t stop, the road lies ahead.”
“Baron, I won’t stop. As long as you don’t stop, I’ll wait for you ahead. So, don’t stop!”
Dekan watched Baron Bachel’s retreating figure disappear, muttering like he was bidding farewell to an old friend.

This time, Baron Bachel rushing into the classroom never came out again for a long while.
Instead, injured Demon Students crawled out of the classroom, their bodies battered and broken.
It seemed Baron Bachel had burned himself out. In a desperate, violent fight, he had fought the teacher in the classroom to mutual destruction.
It was about time to start reaping the rewards.
“Cornelia! Let’s get started!”
“Sure!”
Cornelia pulled out her spare hammer, and together with Dekan, they charged into the classroom one after another.
The anguished cries of the surviving demons rang out again…
