Chapter 3: Drink Up for Free!

Chapter 3: Drink Up for Free!

Of course, in the end, Aierjisi still didn’t succeed. It wasn’t that Yake broke free from her grasp; it was that she ultimately chose to let go.

“Forget it, forget it. It still feels too early to do something with you like this. Let’s wait until those Ultimate Life Forms are taken care of before I really savor your flavor.”

That’s what she said. As for whether she could actually follow through, no one knows. For now, at least Yake’s virtue remained intact—a cause for celebration, indeed!

“I need to rest for a bit. Yake, do you want to sleep? If you don’t, that’s fine, just don’t disturb me. Otherwise, I won’t hesitate to drain you dry right now.”

She warned Yake, then comfortably sprawled on the soft, big bed and fell asleep.

“Ah, finally some peace and quiet.”

Yake breathed a sigh of relief. The events that just transpired had nearly given him a heart attack. Thankfully, Aierjisi decided to back off in the end; otherwise, he’d have no face to show to anyone.

In a situation where Yake didn’t dare to move a muscle, Aierjisi pleasantly took a nap on the bed. Now she was dragging him out for a walk. However, just as they stepped outside, Aierjisi felt a pang of regret.

“Ugh… why is it so cold here? If only there were a warm garden for me to stroll in! But this awful place is just too cold!”

Feeling the biting cold wind, Aierjisi tightened her clothes. She had just been in the volcano area, and now she had completely forgotten she was in the far north.

“So which do you prefer, hot or cold?”

“I don’t like either. I’m starting to miss my hometown. It’s a really nice place; honestly, the weather there isn’t too hot or too cold. It’s a place where people can live and thrive peacefully. Too bad those oblivious Ultimate Life Forms ruined it.”

Talking about her hometown filled Aierjisi with pride. Her hometown was way better than Panimir or the volcanic region. Such a wonderful place, how could it be destroyed? It was truly heartbreaking.

“Well, if you had to choose, which would you pick: hot or cold?”

“I would definitely choose cold.”

There’s a fable that says when travelers encounter cold wind, they wrap their clothes tightly, but when they face heat, they cry out from the discomfort. That’s why people detest the heat so much.

“Well then, problem solved! It’s pretty comfortable in the cold right now. Remember how scorching it was in the volcano area when I pulled you there? It was literally burning!”

Thinking back to when they first visited the volcano area, they nearly collapsed from the heat. That dreadful place was unbearable. Unlike this far north region, though cold, at least it was within a tolerable range for humans.

“Alright, alright. If you want to go out, let’s put a stop to this discussion; we’re here to walk, not for your lecture.”

“Okay, okay! Oh, isn’t that the bar we used to come to? Want to grab a couple of drinks?”

They happened to pass by the bar they frequented. Business was as bustling as ever, and just seeing it made Yake want to go in for a couple of drinks.

“Are you sure you want to drink with me? I fear you won’t be able to keep up.”

“I never said I wanted to compete in drinking! I just want to go in for a couple of drinks.”

Yake knew very well that he could never outdrink the Little Princess. In fact, he realized there was not a single aspect where he could compete with her.

“Isn’t that obvious? But since you want to drink, I’ll keep you company. Let’s go in together; it’s been a while since I had a drink.”

Aierjisi grabbed Yake’s hand, and together they entered the bar.

“Welcome! Oh, look who it is! Long time no see, you two! What have you been up to lately?”

Upon seeing the guests enter, the Boss instinctively welcomed them, only to realize they were two familiar faces he’d known for ages.

“Been a bit busy, so haven’t come by. Sorry about that; I finally got out today to drink with you.”

“Wow, that sounds tough! Here, this round’s on me as a reward for your hard work.”

The Boss generously poured them both a beer as a treat for their labor.

“Thank you, Boss! You’re so generous, wishing you health and prosperity!”

After thanking him, Aierjisi downed her beer in one go.

“Ah… beer is truly an essential in this world. No matter what bothersome issues arise, a single drink can instantly lift your spirits.”

“You seem to really understand, miss! Want another round?”

“Of course! Boss, please pour me another.”

“Sure thing! This round’s on me too.”

“Thanks, Boss! You’re so generous, wishing you health and prosperity!”

Aierjisi downed her next beer just as quickly.

“Ah… this feels so good! It’s been ages since I’ve had beer here.”

“Hey, Aier, maybe pay attention to yourself and don’t overdo it.”

Yake glanced at the half-full beer in front of him, then at Aierjisi, who just polished off two rounds.

“Ah? Don’t worry about me! I’m more than capable of holding my liquor. Plus, it’s just beer to me—nothing serious! I can tell you, even if I drank 200 beers, I wouldn’t get drunk.”

Come on, Aierjisi is a Blood Clan Little Princess! The Blood Clan crushes humans in every aspect! Well, except for childbirth, but aside from that, they dominate in every way, including drinking.

Moreover, she’s part of the royal family of the Blood Clan—absolutely top-tier. Beer to her is as harmless as water—hardly a threat.

“Alright, alright, I know you can drink, but don’t forget why we came out. Let’s not get too carried away.”

Yake kindly reminded her. They just came out for a walk, not to drink.

“The lady sure talks a big game! You say you wouldn’t get drunk even after 200 beers? Why not take on the challenge? If you can drink 200 beers without getting drunk, your drinks are on the house!”

The Boss perked up at Aierjisi’s claim. He wanted to see if this little princess was just boasting or if she really had the chops!
