Chapter 303

While walking toof-toof, it goes doof-doof.

I was strolling through the jungle filled with suffocating heat and humidity you could almost touch, alongside the Mini Reapers, going doof-doof.

Of course, being unaffected by the heat like humans and not even breathing made wandering around the jungle somewhat entertaining.

If I were human, this place would feel like a stifling sauna where movement would be undesirable.

This jungle created by the Green Moon held many wonders.

From giant ferns to shiny star-shaped fruits.

And all the animals living here? All dinosaurs!

The Tyrannosaurus was pretty cool if we ignore its ugly appearance.

But judging from its looks, these jungle dinosaurs didn’t seem to accurately replicate real dinosaurs.

They must be born from people’s imagination and expectations.

Obviously.

There’s no way feathered, lipped, pot-bellied T-Rexes are real!

If they were, the K-Pg extinction event definitely happened because the T-Rex was too ugly.

Heaven’s punishment, indeed.

“Tyranno, why aren’t you showing up again?”

Currently, while wandering through the jungle, I was searching for the Tyranno.

It’d be nice if my favorite Tyranno appeared, but I also had a useful idea in mind.

That idea came from seeing the Golden Reapers torment small dinosaurs to make dino caps.

If that feathered, lipped, pot-bellied Tyranno shows up again, I’ll have to turn it into a proper one.

Just pluck out the feathers, cut off the lips, and remove the belly fat—done!

Hehe.

However, no matter how much I wandered, there was no sign of the Tyranno appearing, so I decided to rest under a tree laden with star-shaped fruits I’d been curious about for a while.

With Spatial Cut, I sliced the star-shaped fruit right down the middle!

Then I chopped it into smaller pieces and popped one into the mouth of the Black Reaper sitting beside me.

Surprisingly moved that I was sharing food, the Black Reaper chewed happily with a look of deep gratitude.

But suddenly, the cheerful expression on the Black Reaper’s face started to contort rapidly.

A cute reaction unique to the Black Reaper who can deform their body in various ways.

“!!!”

Was it because the fruit was super sour? The Black Reaper squeezed their eyes shut and stuck out their tongue.

Hehe, so cute.

I gently pulled on the Black Reaper’s protruding tongue.

Apparently, despite its shiny appearance, the fruit wasn’t tasty.

Deeming it unworthy after the Black Reaper test, I placed the tasteless fruit on the floor.

At which point, the Black Reaper adopted an “I’ve been tricked!” expression, lunged at me, and bit down with a sound of “Ahhh.”

“?

“Mom?”

While I was squabbling with the Black Reaper, the Golden Reapers playing roll-around in the open lot nearby approached us with question marks floating above their heads.

They seemed to think I was just playing with the Black Reaper.

After isolating myself and the biting Black Reaper using Spatial Cut, I conveyed my intentions to the Golden Reapers.

“The Black Reaper is mad because I ate delicious fruit without sharing.”

Then I distributed the star-shaped fruits to all the Golden Reapers in the open lot.

Hehe.

That way, I managed to etch into my memory the scene of all the Golden Reapers sticking out their tongues and wincing together.

Of course, afterward, the angry Mini Reapers clung onto me like lamprey eels, biting with “Ahhh,” but it was a satisfying little prank.

In the Deep Woods, grotesquely twisted monsters began to emerge.

“Welcome back. It’s been a while.”

“Welcome back. It’s been a while.”

“Welcome back. It’s been a while.”

Unlike the dinosaurs seen before, these creatures didn’t resemble proper organisms.

Dried blood clung to the white outer walls of the control room.

The faint smell of blood hung in the air.

Yet, the voice of a companion remained eerily calm and identical, making the woman shiver even more.

Mingming’s attitude toward these grotesque dinosaurs was different too.

Though Mingming usually avoided conflict with other dinosaurs, it showed no restraint against these monsters.

The woman hid behind Mingming’s now-enlarged fluffy back, keeping her gaze fixed on the bizarre creatures.

Suddenly, the monsters closed their mouths and began rotating their heads in circles, endlessly.

Until the ‘human head’ attached to the monster’s torso couldn’t bear it anymore and fell to the ground.

“Is this Gaia?”

“Is this Gaia?”

“Is this Gaia?”

As strange sounds continued to emanate from the fallen human head, the monsters slowly advanced toward Mingming and the woman.

The woman gripped Mingming’s green fur tightly as she watched this terrifying sight.

Then, the monsters suddenly charged at Mingming.

“Miiing!”

As Mingming emitted a golden glow from its eyes and let out a loud cry, sprouts burst forth from the ground and began wrapping around the monsters.

‘!’

The woman, who had assumed Mingming was merely an unusually shaped creature, was surprised.

What Mingming was displaying now was nothing short of Object-level power.

‘An Object, huh…’

Feeling slightly melancholic about no longer calling Mingming by its name, the woman observed the situation.

Unfortunately, the sprout ropes failed to hold the monsters securely and snapped every time they moved.

This led to a brutal melee between Mingming and raptor-like monsters.

Raptor claws tore into Mingming’s skin, and Mingming’s massive hands crushed the raptors.

Even as the fight dragged on with no signs of stopping until death, the raptors eventually retreated, bringing a temporary halt to the battle.

Mingming’s skin was deeply gouged, wounds that would have killed an ordinary animal long ago, creating pools of blood.

Additionally, Mingming’s elephantine size had diminished somewhat.

“Miiing. Miiing.”

“What should we do…?”

Trying to stop the bleeding from Mingming’s wounds by pressing her clothes against them proved futile.

Meanwhile, the regenerating raptors showed no injuries.

Broken bones grew back like tree branches.

Torn skin fused with surrounding tissues.

Lost body parts were replaced by endless bubbling growths.

Though increasingly grotesque with each regeneration, they kept healing.

“Miiing.”

As Mingming looked up at the sky with a soft whimper, darkness descended over the jungle.

Despite it being daytime moments ago, night had fallen.

Above the darkened sky floated an unusually large Green Moon.

I rode atop a towering Tyrannosaurus clad in black armor as I roamed the jungle.

After exploring various areas, I finally found a ‘real’ Tyrannosaurus.

Not the fake ones with feathers or lips—this one was the genuine article!

Though I did plan to transform any fakes into real ones, meeting the real deal was preferable.

Given my less-than-stellar surgical skills, the risk of botching a T-Rex facelift was high.

Of course, taming it was incredibly difficult.

This T-Rex lived up to its reptilian reputation by constantly trying to bite and refusing to follow commands.

No matter how violently I stabbed it with the Black Reaper sword, it persisted in its aggressive behavior.

But I resolved the issue with my brilliant intellect.

Enter: the Black Reaper Armor!

By using it like an exoskeleton to assist in movement, I successfully tamed the beast!

Even the mighty dinosaur couldn’t compete with the strength of the Black Reapers.

In reality, it was the Black Reapers powering the T-Rex’s movements through the armor.

Hehe.

While riding the T-Rex and patrolling the area, an urgent message from the Golden Reaper reached me.

“Mom!”

Turning my gaze, I saw the Mini Reapers who had followed me clinging limply to the Golden Reaper.

“?!”

What happened all of a sudden?

After modifying the T-Rex armor into a makeshift bed and laying the Mini Reapers down,

I examined them closely and discovered they were all extremely sleepy.

Could something have gone wrong since we ventured into space?

All the Mini Reapers except the ever-vibrant Golden Reapers and the slightly tired but still functional Black Reapers had lost consciousness.

“Mom…”

“My younger siblings are sick…”

The Golden Reapers worriedly tended to the unconscious Mini Reapers.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, I attempted to open the Mini Reaper Garden, but it wouldn’t budge.

It seemed the drop in power due to being in space, combined with the influence of the Green Moon, was affecting them.

To resolve this, either the Green Moon needed to be destroyed, or we had to leave space.

Could the Mini Reapers survive atmospheric re-entry?

If the Golden Reapers were affected, I could simply hurl them back to Earth, but this was a tricky situation.

At that moment, the Green Moon began ascending into the sky.

“Found it!”

*

The monsters looked up.

They felt the gaze of the creator of this entire jungle—the Green Moon.

The moon that fled to space.

The moon that retained the most power.

Yet, the moon that had lost its self.

Through combat with its abandoned old followers, the Green Moon’s lost self was being reborn.

And from its gaze, they sensed that it had chosen them—not its old followers.

The twisted flesh of the chosen monsters began to tear and explode.

What emerged was the most alien existence in this jungle.

A head soaring skyward.

Countless limbs made of various creatures’ bones bursting through the torn flesh.

“Now, we—”

And an endless flow of incomprehensible power surged through them.

<It's the Green Moon.>
