031 Dekan Fox Hunting
“……”
The music classroom was terrifyingly silent at this moment.
Whether it was Dekan’s calm and collected demeanor since entering the room, his incredible ability to control the school’s broadcast system, or his strange methods of manipulating other Demons like a dark god, all of it sent shivers down the spines of the Demon Students.
Dekan’s presence felt as if he had come specifically to hunt them down.
No matter if it was a covert plan or an overt one, he would turn the rules back against them.
It felt like being at the mercy of the ruler of the school!
No way to resist!
This time, the Music Teacher said nothing.
He sat down and began to play the piano.
In his eyes, the fates of these Demon Students were already sealed.
It was better to wrap things up quickly and send away this plague.
This fellow was ominous in every sense of the word.
Dekan’s series of behaviors and actions were not something a Demon Student could achieve.
The Music Teacher silently began to suspect.
He was most likely sent by the principal to fish for lawbreakers!
If Dekan stayed any longer, he might end up in danger himself.
“Deng, deng deng……”
The music began, but this time the Demon Students were in a daze, unsure of how to sing.
Dekan then mimicked holding a microphone and looked at the group of Demon Students with a mocking expression as he began to sing.
“Dame Dame, tame yo~”
Accompanied by the music, Dekan sang according to his own interpretation.
Despair filled the faces of the Demon Students.
Even as they struggled, their voices couldn’t overpower Dekan, who held the rights to the sound system.
Watching Dekan’s utterly calm smile, their bodies trembled involuntarily, as if they were standing on the edge of a cliff, about to be pushed off violently.
By this point, they had already sung incorrectly three times.
“It’s a pity.”
The Music Teacher sighed and stood up.
Next would be the time for the Music Teacher’s reckoning.
Except for Dekan, the Demon Students were slaughtered mercilessly amidst their screams…
……
The entire stage had turned into a slaughterhouse, filled with a bloody atmosphere.
The scattered corpses of Demons on the stage seemed to leave Dekan feeling somewhat at a loss.
“You may leave now.”
The Music Teacher furrowed his brow and said.
He had strictly enforced the rules, so Dekan had no reason to trouble him.
However, Dekan lingered, standing still.
This only heightened the Music Teacher’s sense of foreboding.
“It’s not the end of class yet.”
Dekan said with a smile.
“You can leave now. I will issue you a Demon Pass according to the regulations.”
As the Music Teacher spoke, he took out a familiar red Demon Ticket and handed it to Dekan.
Yet, Dekan looked at the ticket with disgust and turned his gaze away.
It seemed he wouldn’t even bother picking it up.
The Music Teacher’s brow furrowed even deeper.
This simple test confirmed the Music Teacher’s suspicions further—this guy was definitely not a student.
The Demon Students at this school would have an intense desire for a Demon Pass.
In a sense, the Demon Pass was a license to live!
Even if this guy had stolen the ability to control the broadcast, the principal wouldn’t allow him to continue without intervention.
If the Demon Pass held no allure for him, he must merely be a temporary visitor to this school!
“Were you sent by the principal?”
The Music Teacher asked, his eyes filled with caution, laced with a hint of probing.
“You’re clever, different from the other teachers, actually deducing my identity.”
Dekan did not answer directly.
There was still a hint of mockery in his tone, but he finally began to look the Music Teacher in the eye.
His gaze made it seem as though he had found a rare clever one amidst a group of fools.
This caused the Music Teacher’s heart to race.
Earlier, during break time, the Music Teacher had heard some unsettling news—
Some very strange events had happened at school today, and several teachers had faced persecution.
Moreover, the means of their victimization was extremely peculiar, as if they had been guided into committing violations and then met an unclear end.
He couldn’t help but rejoice at his luck, having been well-informed and not having made any violations earlier.
Seeing the expression of the Music Teacher as if he had just survived a great calamity, Dekan felt he had already guessed most of it.
“However,”
Dekan’s tone shifted.
He lightly raised his index finger, a faint smile appearing on his lips, pausing for two seconds before continuing:
“There’s still someone above.”
The Music Teacher’s pupils shrank.
Someone above the principal?
Though numerous guesses flashed through the Music Teacher’s mind in an instant, he dared not ponder further.
The other party’s identity must be beyond his imagination!
This seemingly gentle and nonviolent Demon was actually the most terrifying.
You could never guess how strong his true combat power was.
He could disguise himself as the perfect prey and, just when you thought you were sure to win, reveal a despairing power that would crush you like a toy!
The Music Teacher could almost confirm that had there been any behavior of shielding or favoring the Demon Students just now, his body would likely already be cold.
Even if Dekan didn’t take action personally, the principal would appear, or someone even more terrifying.
“Rest assured, you are a teacher who follows the rules, we won’t make things difficult for you, but we do have something we’d like to ask you to assist us with.”
Dekan withdrew his hand, placing it behind his back, looking at the Music Teacher with a friendly demeanor.
In an instant, his aura seemed to transform into one of approachability.
“……”
Although the Music Teacher knew that the Demon before him was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he nonetheless sighed in relief, his expression softening considerably.
As long as the other party’s objective wasn’t to cause him trouble, that was enough.
“Then may I ask, what do you need my assistance with?”
The Music Teacher’s tone became considerably more polite.
“Please do not disclose what I am about to say to any Demon. If it leaks out, even the principal cannot protect you, do you understand?”
Dekan continued in his calm tone.
The Music Teacher nodded gravely.
Dekan continued:
“You must also be aware that there are still many teachers in this school who do not teach according to the regulations and hold onto a sense of luck, thinking they can get away with it. In fact, we have been dissatisfied with this for a long time, so today we launched this special operation plan.”
“……”
The Music Teacher remained silent, cold sweat breaking out on his back.
If he had not been cautious, he might have been the one caught just now.
“Within the last six hours, several violating teachers have already been caught. You must have heard a whisper or two about it, right?”
Dekan asked.
After hesitating for a moment, the Music Teacher nodded.
“You’re quite fortunate, or rather, just very fortunate, to have passed our screening successfully.”
Dekan’s words held double meaning, “But anyone can have bad luck sometimes, can’t they?”
The Music Teacher fell silent again.
For Dekan’s somewhat intimidating question, he didn’t know how to respond.
“However, luck isn’t something that can’t be fought for by oneself, don’t you think?”
Dekan placed his hand on the Music Teacher’s shoulder, gazing into his eyes as though wanting to pierce through his very soul.
