Chapter 31: Are You Still in the Mood for Drinking?

Chapter 31: Are You Still in the Mood for Drinking?

“Alright then. I feel like saying all this to you is pointless. I didn’t get anywhere.”

Aierjisi scratched her head, clearly still struggling to trust this man. The previous questions she had asked him only yielded incomprehensible answers.

“I suppose… Sorry. My answers are just like this.”

The man also knew that his earlier responses were unlikely to satisfy the Little Princess, but there was nothing more he could offer. If he couldn’t lower her guard, then it was his fault.

“Um… wait a moment. Let me think if there’s another way. My Father King was once your disciple, right?”

“That’s true.”

“Then this should be easier. Just give me a second.”

Aierjisi took out her communicator, attempting to contact Carl, who was still at the Moon God Palace. If she could get an answer from her Father King, then she could trust this man.

“Hey… Aierjisi… What’s up?”

Given the constant harsh weather in Panimir and the great distance between the North and South, even after finally getting through, the communication wasn’t very clear.

“Father King, I want to ask you something. Please take a look at this man and see if he’s the Master you know.”

Aierjisi adjusted the screen to point at the man, letting her Father King confirm carefully.

“Oh! It’s the Master! Master, have you already reached Aierjisi’s side?!”

Through the details on the screen, Carl recognized that the man was indeed his former Master.

“Yes, Carl. Your daughter is quite suspicious, refusing to trust me. I had no choice but to have you confirm. So, how about it? You believe me now, right?”

With Carl’s confirmation, Aierjisi decided to trust the man as her companion, nodding to him in belief.

“Sorry, my daughter has caused you quite a bit of trouble. Not trusting her Master is really inappropriate. Aierjisi, hurry up and apologize to the Master.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. Your daughter suspicious of me is actually a good thing. No need to apologize.”

“That’s no way to treat a Master! It’s disrespectful to doubt him. She should apologize properly.”

“I already said it’s unnecessary. Your daughter is actually quite nice, the only one who doubts my identity. If I were an enemy instead of a companion, the other two would have probably been knocked out already. So in that sense, your daughter is quite admirable. Anyway, I have nothing else to discuss, so let’s hang up. We’ll talk more next time.”

“Alright, let’s hang up. Aierjisi, learn well from your Master. You’ll gain so much and reach heights you never imagined. Did you hear that?”

“Okay, okay, I heard you, so I’ll hang up now. Father King, keep yourself busy at the Moon God Palace.”

Aierjisi impatiently ended the call. Seriously, Father King? Still treating me like a child. He even had to remind me just before hanging up.

“How about it? You believe me now, right?”

“Of course! Since Father King guaranteed it, I will definitely trust you. I’m really sorry for doubting you before, Master.”

Aierjisi now believed that this man was indeed their Master. No longer hostile, she referred to him as Master.

“Alright, since we’ve had our chat and everything is settled, you two hurry back now. The Royal Palace still needs you!”

“Aren’t you coming back with us?”

“I won’t be joining you. Don’t worry; I’ll be watching over you from the sidelines. If you need me, I’ll show up when the time is right. Bye-bye!”

The man suddenly vanished like the wind before their eyes.

“Is this the realm reached by conversing with nature? Seems really tough; I might not be able to learn it.”

Watching the Master come and go like a breeze, Aierjisi couldn’t help but sigh. This was truly the realm of the strong.

“Is that even possible? Didn’t the Master just say it was achievable? ”

“He said so, but whether we can actually do it is another story. Just because he says it can be done doesn’t mean we definitely can. If it were that easy, what would be the point of students putting in the effort? Let’s not waste more time, let’s hurry back. The Royal Palace needs us to stand guard.”

During the previous battle, Aierjisi and Yake suffered the least damage. They were pretty much unscathed and were quickly restored by their healing abilities.

The other two teams weren’t as lucky. Gaia had sustained some injuries and needed time to recover; he could join the battle, but his combat power wouldn’t be the same. Ailin had been burned by Weirafiya’s Flames, leaving her with wounds that would require time to heal.

As for Yaser and Weirafiya, their situation was the worst. Yaser needed time for his heart to recover, and Weirafiya had sustained some damage after her rampage. They both needed ample time to mend. If any enemies showed up at the Royal Palace during this time, it would fall to Aierjisi and Yake to handle it.

But as long as the attackers weren’t some absurdly powerful Ultimate Life Form, they should be able to manage most foes.

“Wow, can’t believe it’s already night. What a tiring day.”

“I feel the same. Today has been exhausting.”

First battling the Ultimate Life Form early in the morning, they were almost wiped out. Later, they had to verify this man’s identity, setting up a special meeting to talk. Clearly, their efforts today had worn them out. They’d need a good rest once they returned to the Royal Palace.

“You two are back! You’ve really worked hard. By the way, what were you doing out there?”

As soon as they returned to the Royal Palace, they were caught by Ailin, who had been searching for them everywhere. Of course, her worry stemmed from their sudden disappearance. Did Aierjisi and the others abandon her and take off?

Thankfully, they had returned, giving Ailin a sigh of relief.

“Sorry, we went out for a drink.”

“Huh? What time is it? You still have the mood to drink? Do you even realize how dangerous the situation is?!”

“Sorry, sorry! I just wanted to drink, really sorry! Can you let me off?”

“Let you off? Not a chance.”
