Chapter 34: First Step of Revenge
Yuan Xiaoling was feeling absolutely stoked.

Then she got another glare from Bai Ling.
”Alright alright, I get it,” the Blonde-haired Maiden quietly stepped aside. “Let’s be serious.”
Zhang Shengkang looked up and tried to say, “Bai Ling, Shanshan knows nothing about what I’ve done. Can we not…”
”That won’t do,” Bai Ling smiled coldly. “Because Aunt Huang isn’t here.”
Zhang Shengkang’s heart sank as he questioned in disbelief, “What have you done to her?”
”I didn’t do much,” Bai Ling casually replied, “just left her a note telling her that if she came, there might be a chance to save either her daughter or husband.” She paused for effect, “But guess what she did? She drove away down the mountain.”
Down the mountain meant heading towards the port, planning to escape by sea.
”But that’s normal,” Bai Ling continued, “after all, back then, you betrayed your own relatives for profit. Now faced with the same choice, you made the same decision. Only someone like you now, who clearly has no way out, would try to establish some kind of character.”
As Zhang Shengkang’s face gradually lost its color, Bai Ling kindly added, “Don’t worry, I wouldn’t just let her go without doing anything.”
At this moment, on the rain-soaked mountain road, a red compact car was moving slowly forward.

Bai Ling remained silent, staring at him intently.
”I… can’t say,” the Gray-clad Person struggled to say.
Bai Ling rolled her eyes and beckoned Yuan Xiaoling over. “You deal with him.”
”Me?” Yuan Xiaoling pointed at herself. “What should I do, interrogate him?”
She didn’t know how to do that anyway.
”Not that, just dispose of him,” Bai Ling stepped aside. “Use your abilities.”
”Oh, got it, okay then.”
Sure, this guy almost killed her earlier, perfect for payback.
With the heavy rain still pouring, water elements were incredibly dense in the air. Yuan Xiaoling effortlessly recreated five phantom spirits, then—
”True Dragon Manifestation!”
The five water constructs fused together, dissolving their structures as they merged, kneaded, and finally formed a sleek Water Dragon breaking free.

The Gray-clad Person’s complexion turned ghastly pale.

Yuan Xiaoling pointed her finger, and the Water Dragon, towering five stories high, reared its head and dove down, swallowing the Gray-clad Person whole.

They climbed into the car Zhang Shengkang had driven. The rain was pouring heavily, and Bai Ling was too lazy to drive home, so they found the nearest hotel.
When Yuan Xiaoling looked up, oh no, a pink sign—it was a lovers’ hotel.
