Chapter 34: Let’s Save the Potions for Later

Chapter 34: Let’s Save the Potions for Later

“Miss Aierjisi, it would be better if you calmed down first. Fighting here would cause considerable damage to the Royal Palace, truly!”

Seeing Aierjisi completely enraged by this man’s words, standing up and ready to throw fists, Gaia once again tried to stop her. After all, fighting here would indeed damage the palace. Moreover, they were all disciples of the same Master. If Aierjisi fought this man, it might cause significant troubles in their future training.

“No need, Your Majesty! You don’t have to stop her. And don’t worry about any damage to the Royal Palace from fighting here; I’ll handle switching the battle venue. But first, I have to properly teach this disciple a lesson! She needs to understand that once a disciple, always a father in spirit!”

The man didn’t seem to take Aierjisi’s displeasure to heart at all. In fact, he was even encouraging her to challenge him!

“Aier, just let it go. The chef can whip you up something later. There’s really no need to fight here.”

Yake also seemed tired of Aierjisi’s nonsense, grabbing her shoulder and making her sit down in her seat.

“Tch. Fine, since you’ve said that, I’ll take a step back for now.”

With a reluctant sigh, Aierjisi agreed to calm down.

“What’s up? Weren’t you just all fired up to fight? Now you’re backing down?”

“I’m not a fool who doesn’t think things through. Fighting you here doesn’t benefit me at all. No need to tear our faces over a temporary surge of emotions.”

“Well, it seems you do understand some things, unlike that spoiled little princess.”

The man’s impression of Aierjisi shifted a bit.

“By the way, what are you even doing here? Don’t tell me you came just to mooch off our food?”

“Did I not say? I came to check on how well your injuries are recovering. It seems like you’re almost back to normal, but you still need more rest. Once you’re completely healed, I’ll come back to take you to special training!”

“Um… excuse me, can I ask a question?”

Gaia stood up, raising his hand. The man silently nodded, allowing him to speak.

“Our injuries are mostly healed now, just some minor scrapes. We can actually go for the special training now.”

At this point, Gaia and the others had practically recovered. The remaining small injuries were ones they could heal on their own—there was no need to keep resting.

“No way! My special training is super strict! You all need to be at full strength to participate. If not, you could easily cause problems during training. Don’t think just because your injuries are almost healed that everything’s fine. In many battles, those seemingly minor wounds can lead to losing a fight you should have won. A thousand-mile dam can collapse from an ant’s hole. Keep that in mind!”

The man shook his head, rejecting Gaia’s request. He was serious about his disciples needing to be fully healed before they could undertake special training.

“But… it’s just special training! It’s really not that necessary.”

“Are you sure about that?”

In an instant, the man appeared right in front of Gaia and lightly poked him.

“Ah…”

Just that single poke made Gaia clutch the spot and kneel on the ground, a look of pain on his face.

“See? Don’t underestimate those little injuries. Often, it’s those that can be most lethal. You should really take the time to heal properly! Once you’re completely better, I’ll be back to take you. See you!”

With a wave, the man disappeared right before their eyes.

“Seriously, how does that guy even move? He was sitting beside me just a moment ago, and now he’s vanished in front of everyone!”

Aierjisi couldn’t wrap her head around how that man pulled off such a stunt.

“Gaia, are you okay? Do you need me to help you back to your room to rest?”

Ailin squatted beside Gaia, checking on him. If he really needed it, she would take him back to rest right away.

“Sorry to trouble you, but I think I really need to go and rest for a bit. That poke he gave me is a little painful.”

“Got it! I’ll take you back to your room to rest now. You must take care of yourself and not let those little injuries linger; otherwise, if he pokes you again, you could be out for quite a while!”

“Sure, I understand. Thanks! I’ll make sure to rest well.”

With Ailin’s support, Gaia left the dining hall, leaving the other two pairs behind to continue their dinner.

“Yake, how’s your condition? Do you feel unwell anywhere?”

Having witnessed Gaia getting poked earlier, Aierjisi grew concerned about Yake’s condition. He might still have some unresolved injuries.

“You don’t need to worry about me; my recovery rate is the same as yours, right? If your body is fine, then mine is too.”

Thanks to their contract, Yake’s recovery rate was on par with Aierjisi’s. Minor injuries healed quickly.

“Hmm… that’s true. You two… well, looks like the two of you might need a good while longer to recover, huh?”

Aierjisi intended to ask about the conditions of the other two, but after a moment’s thought, she realized those two had received the most damage in battle. One had been grievously stabbed in the heart, while the other had gone berserk, suffering significant mental damage. They’d definitely need the longest recovery time.

“Indeed! But if you’re willing to share some potions with us, we could be healed up right away.”

“Miss, there’s really no need to use potions in this situation. It’s better to save them for critical moments.”

Weirafiya had initially wanted to ask Aierjisi for healing potions but was stopped by Yaser.

Yaser shared Gaia’s sentiment; potions were best reserved for when they were truly needed. They should make the most of what they had!
