Chapter 344: The Seasoning is Sweet and Fragrant (No H)
After noticing Nana’s dislike for the ocean below, Jié Jié seized the opportunity. He spent considerable effort assuring her he wouldn’t run off before convincing her to wait by the shore for him.
The freedom of an embrace didn’t feel as sweet as imagined.
Quickly check on Phase Two Team’s status then head back; don’t let her wait too long.
Jié Jié dove down, transforming from Flame King Dragon into a Flying Pterosaur, shrinking further into a Flying Bird, and entered Phase Two Team’s current worksite.
They were using ropes to connect to ships, clearly wanting to drag the stranded vessels back with those still seaworthy.
But weren’t there fewer people working?
Taking a loop inside the ship, he saw the remaining team members resting in the cabin to avoid the rain. Jié Jié instantly relaxed.
There were no casualties.
The battle between the Flame King Dragon and the Extinction Dragon hadn’t even given Phase Two Team time to get into trouble, but the tidal wave that caused a massive sea disaster would’ve been disastrous.
“Our group has something in common with Phase One Team now. We’ve both encountered the coast and had our ships stranded. New Continent gave us a rude welcome right away.”
“Next time we report, we should include this information. If future teams also face water disasters and strandings, it’ll be considered a pattern.”
Turning around, he noticed the main and deputy leaders of Phase Two Team making the best of a bad situation.
Hearing them mention the stranding reminded Jié Jié of the storyline in his memories.
Phase One Team was stranded, and now Phase Two Team was stranded thanks to him.
Phase Three Team’s ship turned into a hot air balloon and got stranded on Coral Land Plateau.
Phase Four Team’s situation was unclear, but Phase Five Team… having their ship pushed onto the back of a Magma Mountain Dragon could also count as being stranded.
Jié Jié entertained a dangerous thought about stranding Phase Four Team as well. That way, they might not be isolated by the other four teams, right?
Shaking his head to rid himself of the dangerous idea, he identified the three ships and confirmed that the flagship wasn’t among the stranded ones, giving him some relief.
Transforming into an Abyssal Wave Dragon underwater, Jié Jié swam beneath the flagship. Attached to its underside was a golden silk bag—his luggage.
Carrying luggage onboard or putting it down could lead to it being rummaged through. Better safe than sorry; he didn’t want to tempt others’ limits, so he stuck it to the bottom of the ship.
After hanging his luggage, Jié Jié left Phase Two Team and swam directly toward the shore, leaping out of the water in Flame King Dragon form to meet Nana.
Lying quietly on the ground, the Flame Empress Dragon faced the sea like a stone waiting for her husband. Upon seeing him, her tail wagged slightly with excitement.
Seeing him place the golden silk bag on the ground, she curiously approached.
Using each claw to lift one side, Jié Jié opened the silk bag, revealing its inner layer of fur.
A hunter’s tools are very durable, and he added several layers of monster fur and shell, maximizing waterproofing and fire resistance. Everything inside was undamaged!
“Hmm?”
Nana curiously leaned in. Despite her high intelligence, her innocent demeanor made her seem like a child.
No, thinking like this would only bring guilt!
Jié Jié quickly stopped himself, checked his “magic pocket,” hung it on his body, and walked with Nana deeper into the barren desert to search for ingredients.
After suppressing the fire zone, their foraging efficiency seemed to improve. They soon found a Sand Earth Dragon digging in the ground.
As always, Jié Jié acted faster than Nana, smashing open the Sand Earth Dragon’s shell, twisting its neck, and began peeling off the shell to process the ingredients.
The smell of blood stimulated Nana, who eagerly rushed forward.
Letting her tear at it to taste, Jié Jié then tapped the ground with his tail, signaling her to wait a moment.
Body language mostly worked; either due to the intelligence of ancient dragons or some innate understanding, without resonance, Nana understood his meaning. She walked around him slowly, patiently waiting.
Not transforming into the agile Sky Dog Beast posed no difficulty for him.
If he couldn’t fry meat chunks, they’d just eat roasted whole dragon!
Spitting out a little flame from his mouth, he covered the Sand Earth Dragon stripped of its shell.
The flames weren’t intense, allowing him to use his claws to cut the meat while observing its doneness.
Sunfire Dragons, as fire-attribute ancient dragons, use flames in combat and hunting, roasting their prey. But flames are merely tools for fighting and hunting; the food is either burnt or undercooked. Often, Sunfire Dragons hunt simply with claws and teeth to savor fresh blood.
Perfectly cooked food is rare, and most importantly, seasoning is absent.
Taking out the seasoning bottle from the silk bag, he bit onto the bottle and sprinkled colorful dust over the meat.
The Sand Earth Dragon wasn’t small, and one bottle wouldn’t suffice to cover it all. Jié Jié sprinkled seasoning on a portion, cut it out, and gestured for Nana to eat.
The Flame Empress Dragon stepped closer to the meat, sniffing repeatedly, capturing the lingering scent of the seasoning in the air. She showed great interest in the flavor.
Sniffing close to the meat, she didn’t hesitate to bite and chew, her eyes lighting up. She paced around the roasted dragon, her nose twitching, finally focusing on the seasoning bottle in Jié Jié’s mouth and leaning in.
Before Jié Jié could react, the Flame Empress Dragon extended her tongue, gently licking his lips.
Boom!
The seasoning bottle exploded in his mouth, spreading its unique aroma between their faces.
Feeling Nana’s tongue circling his lips, Jié Jié softly extended his own seasoning-covered tongue, feeling hers slip past his lips to caress and entangle with his.
This passionate action, yet Nana’s gaze remained pure, as if she only cared about the seasoning, unaware of how lethal her actions could be.
What a crime!
Their tongues intertwined, Jié Jié offering the seasoning on his tongue, kindly feeding it into Nana’s mouth.
Nana’s tongue retreated, shifting roles from attacker to defender.
Amidst their whispering and rubbing, the seasoning was depleted, leaving only their scents entwined. When they parted, the Flame Empress Dragon was already pinned down by the Flame King Dragon.
Without resistance, Nana only lightly pushed, humming softly, changing to a more comfortable position while letting him have his way. Her head moved closer to the fragrant Sand Earth Dragon meat, trying to take a bite.
Unfortunately, the force on her back increased, trapping her firmly. All she could do was wistfully stare at the meat, her blue tail flicking, urging her red tail to whip faster.
Not willing to be outdone, Jié Jié retaliated, starting a tail fight. It became the main battlefield.
Operating poorly, they ended up compensating twice.

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
