Chapter 383: Do this, then that, and then—Earthbound Bombing!
Jié Jié felt the heat concentrating behind him, and his next wing flap became even more powerful. With brute force, he forcibly transformed his downward dive into an upward surge.
After a vertical flip in mid-air, he saw the distant flames explode.
During his own backflip, his line of sight met the silver fire dragon raising its head due to recoil.
The vertical flip adjusted into a horizontal one with his wings, Jie Jie’s body forming a straight “one” as he slashed towards the silver fire dragon.
Under the influence of Jié Yán’s attack, the silver fire dragon couldn’t dodge in time. The two souls unbound by gravity collided toward the ground.
Jie Jie’s massive claws stepped on the chest of the silver fire dragon, making it look small under his spread wings.
The temperature beneath his claws was rapidly rising, and the area from the silver fire dragon’s chest to its throat was glowing white.
The hook-like claws were fast, and so was the silver fire dragon’s breath weapon, but at this moment, the golden fire dragon’s charge came even faster.
“Bang!”
Jie Jie was directly slammed away by the charging golden fire dragon. Before he could react, the golden fire dragon executed a side flip and delivered a heavy tail strike to his face.
Although some toxins entered his body, they couldn’t significantly damage his robust physical functions.
“Ho-roar!!”
After completing the side flip, the golden fire dragon didn’t stop. With a long roar, it dove again.
Jie Jie used his legs to meet the golden fire dragon’s impact, adjusting midway to deliver a solid Iron Mountain Lean, breaking the dragon’s descent.
Realigning his body, the Flame Burst Fireball prepared during the Iron Mountain Lean shot out of his mouth, rushing into the golden fire dragon’s embrace.
The explosion’s shockwave sent the golden fire dragon flying, stumbling and forcing a landing on a nearby hillside for a brief rest.
It got the chance to rest because the silver fire dragon had readjusted its state and fired a fireball inherited with speed mid-dive.
Compared to Jie Jie’s Flame Burst, this fireball had slightly weaker impact but higher temperature, burning Jie Jie blacker.
“Ho!!”
The silver fire dragon let out a proud roar and dived again, knocking Jie Jie down.
This time, it was the silver fire dragon stepping on his chest, its mouth brimming with white flames just like before.
Jie Jie suddenly kicked it off with great strength.
Though the silver fire dragon flew high, its mouth still contained accumulating flame light, ready to shoot.
Even if he twisted his body, it would only be his wings and back taking the hit.
Rather—
Three instant-fireballs erupted from his mouth in quick succession. Though lacking in power, their combined impact was enough to detonate the pale fireball prematurely.
The explosion’s light and shock engulfed both fire dragons. Jie Jie lay motionless on the hillside, his once relatively white abdomen charred, scales popping open, revealing bits of flesh and blood.
The silver fire dragon, not expecting the fireball to explode between them, was closer to the blast center and was directly hurled away, flapping confusedly and lingering in the air without further action.
“Pity, if you could have reacted faster, there’d have been a chance to make your insides explode.”
That fireball alone, if detonated internally, would surely have dealt severe damage to the silver fire dragon.
Continuing the fight would also be fine; battling such a master of aerial combat was exceptionally rare. Ordinary fire dragons would lose balance from his wind pressure alone, unlike these evenly matched opponents.
While the silver fire dragon panted, the golden fire dragon charged forward. Their previous battle against the Extinction Dragon had built exceptional synergy, alternating attacks forcing even the Extinction Dragon to temporarily retreat.
At this point, Jie Jie also flipped over and returned to the sky. The explosion’s impact landed on his wing membranes, but the slope mitigated most of it.
A torrent of flame danced from the golden fire dragon’s mouth, but it fell short of hitting Jie Jie, who was retreating while flipping.
In contrast, the Black Flame King took a deep breath, and the roaring flames swallowed the golden fire dragon whole.
For the golden fire dragon, the damage wasn’t significant, but the insult was strong.
Once the breath attack ended, the somewhat scorched golden fire dragon spat out a large puff of white flame.
“Boom!”
Before the white flame’s explosion dissipated, another burst of white flame shot out from the silver fire dragon’s mouth, triggering a second, larger explosion. It ignited a red gale spreading the white flames, enveloping what had initially escaped.
The explosive heat and shockwaves turned Jie Jie black and burnt. Fortunately, he didn’t plummet but instead rose higher using the shockwave and updrafts, heading toward the silver fire dragon again.
Another fireball was fired, but facing it head-on, Jie Jie showed no fear. A slight wing movement allowed him to evade, accelerating twice using the fireball-induced gusts behind him.
Realizing his aggressive approach, the silver fire dragon tensed, aiming to dodge with its superior flight skills.
But Jie Jie’s insight had already locked onto the silver fire dragon’s wings, understanding the dragon’s wing structure and predicting its intentions.
With each wingbeat, his flight posture blocked all possible escape routes, aiming to knock it out of the sky and mercilessly trample it.
Unaware of this, the silver fire dragon flapped its wings to gain altitude, accumulating power for a large spin and attempting a Cobra maneuver to move behind Jie Jie.
When the sky flipped in its vision, it thought it had succeeded.
But as the sky continued to rotate, the silver fire dragon failed to spot the freak anywhere, momentarily stunned.
With a dragon’s broad perspective, there should’ve been no blind spots during the flip, allowing it to instantly perceive everything within the surroundings. Yet, the Black Flame King seemed to have vanished from existence.
Meanwhile, the golden fire dragon witnessed the entire process. The freak had become surprisingly agile after the mate dodged, almost climbing alongside its back, stopping its wing flaps when it descended, mimicking its movements.
A dragon’s flip allows full perception of the surroundings in the following rotation, but the first step of the rotation deliberately lets the opponent slip out of sight!
The silver fire dragon confidently predicted Jie Jie wouldn’t halt his dive, unaware that its actions had already been seen through.
Despite the world spinning around Jie Jie, the silver fire dragon remained in his sights regardless of the chaos.
No sound of wind?
No, in this fleeting moment, the silver fire dragon’s attention was focused on the next offensive move, completely missing the unusual wind behind it after losing sight of Jie Jie.
By the time it noticed, it was too late. The descending Black Flame King had obscured the sun visible to the silver fire dragon, appearing like a heavy black sun.
The black sun turned into a black curtain, carrying a slight burnt smell and blood residue.
Jie Jie hugged the silver fire dragon, using superior skill to bring them both spiraling downward together.
The horizon kept flipping, rotating along with the planet below.
Earthbound Bombing!

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
