Chapter 396

Chapter 396: The Helicopter Ruins the Parking Lot.

Sure, words are one thing, but the Explosive Frag Dragon’s shell is incredibly tough. Even though the first wave of attacks managed to crack it, expanding and tearing those cracks apart proved near impossible.

Without a proper can opener, efficiency was abysmally low.

Jié Jié’s thoughts made a slight turn, recalling a form that opened cans with great efficiency, though he’d never used it before. Now seemed like a fun time to give it a try.

But first, he needed to wear down the Explosive Frag Dragon’s stamina.

When the Glittering Dragon blocked the cave’s exit, transforming the area into an octagon cage, the Explosive Frag Dragon, realizing its predicament, changed drastically.

Quickly recovering from Jie Jie’s claw strike, it leapt back, creating some distance.

“GRUNT ROAR!!!”

With an ear-splitting roar, the Explosive Frag Dragon’s fists and missile heads began rapidly spreading Critical Slime Mold, emitting a vivid crimson glow.

It plunged the missile atop its head into the ground.

“BANG!”

“BANG!!”

“BANG BANG BANG!!!”

The Explosive Frag Dragon’s crown slime exploded, scattering in all directions.

Covering both itself and the ground, the explosions didn’t cease as the slime kept bursting outward until only a thin layer of mycelium remained.

Too thin to explode underfoot, yet still highly active, it quickly spread around, radiating intense heat, turning the octagon cage into a steaming cauldron.

The Explosive Frag Dragon’s self-inflicted slime explosion harmed itself too; now dimmed, its eyes burned with the ferocity of a trapped beast.

The gladiator-like dragon bent its legs, leaped high, and hurled a killing intent-laden fist towards the Silver Fire Dragon studying the slime’s properties.

Jie Jie was about to ascend when he realized the Explosive Frag Dragon would land higher than him. If he flew up, he’d be right in its path.

Unlike regular Fire Dragons who’d have no counter against such aerial blockage, Jie Jie wasn’t just any Fire Dragon.

He lowered his body, choosing instead to crouch.

To him, the ferocity of a cornered beast wasn’t much of a concern.

In the blink of an eye, the Explosive Frag Dragon had arrived, heavy fists soaring overhead, smashing the ground with waves of rock layers rising.

Just a minor tail stomp.

Jie Jie retrieved his tail, which shimmered silver then turned dark green instantly, unleashing a larger and heavier Tail Hammer that slammed squarely onto the opponent’s body.

The forceful Tail Whip rocked the Explosive Frag Dragon off balance, spinning it around, revealing a mouth glowing with the light of Jié Yán.

“BOOM!”

Though capable of using Jié Yán in Spiny Dragon form, it wasn’t its natural breath weapon, thus lacking power.

“GRUNT ROAR!!!”

Amidst fiery light, the Frag Dragon let out a mournful roar, the sound waves further stimulating the slime’s activity. A drag punch surged forth, plowing through the ground while recycling some remaining slime onto its fist.

After the breath attack, the Spiny Dragon charged forward like a heavy tank, taking the full brunt of the punch, something the Silver Fire Dragon had been dodging earlier. This was the first time Jie Jie experienced the explosive power of Battle King slime under the Frag Dragon’s attack.

Impressive explosive power—its thick scales were cracked on the first layer. If it could keep hitting him stationary, the results would be catastrophic!

Still, the Explosive Frag Dragon couldn’t withstand the force of the Spiny Dragon’s Dragon Charge, trying to resist but being pushed backward until it fell and rolled several times.

The Spiny Dragon’s Trample followed closely, not shattering the shell but clearly feeling its elastic deformation under heavy stamps.

“GRUNT ROAR!”

The Explosive Frag Dragon beneath continued to resist, punching Jie Jie’s chest, triggering slime explosions that caused him to stagger slightly away.

Clearly, the two-legged, winged structure of the flying dragon species couldn’t suppress the Explosive Frag Dragon’s dual fists. Retreating slightly, Jie Jie lunged forward again, his robust arms pinning both of its fists to the ground.

Dangerous hissing sounds arose as the Critical Slime Mold touched the ground, exploding despite no impact.

Apparently, slime explosions are unpredictable and random.

But this level of explosion couldn’t drive him back. His claws swiftly rose, half-clenched into fists, striking the Explosive Frag Dragon’s face, making its vision blur.

Punch after punch landed, the cracked shell continuously deformed, expanding those cracks bit by bit.

Under restraint, the Explosive Frag Dragon’s stamina was at its lowest point.

Perhaps, there was ample time and sufficient Dragon Charges for him to use that unused can-opening technique.

Jie Jie jumped back, the Extinction Dragon’s massive form becoming even bulkier, standing upright, wings vanishing, its large horn replaced by a pair of grand antlers.

Its tail grew thicker, with the end becoming a massive Tail Hammer interlaced with blade-like protrusions.

Jie Jie stepped forward, recalling how the Tail Hammer Dragon did it.

He began spinning his body, tightening the muscles in his tail, the Tail Hammer sweeping over the shallow, scorching mycelium, wrapping it around.

Spinning became second nature to Jie Jie, the heavy Tail Hammer lifting off the ground with increasing speed, even causing his own body to spin due to strong centrifugal force.

The spinning sped up, visible wind pressure swirling around the Tail Hammer, the slime on it growing brighter from friction with the air.

Jie Jie spun closer to the rising Explosive Frag Dragon, while the panting Frag Dragon stared wide-eyed at the massive rotating hammer.

Confusion replaced its rage.

Taking advantage of its stunned state from fatigue and shock, the Tail Hammer Dragon leapt high during the spin.

“Behold! The Helicopter Smash! Tornado Destroys the Parking Lot!”

Like a helicopter, a flail, or a spinning chain ball, the axe-bladed Tail Hammer smashed heavily onto its neck.

“BOOM!!!”

The Critical Slime Mold wrapped around the Tail Hammer had reached its critical point, releasing powerful impact forces toward its symbiotic Explosive Frag Dragon.

Compared to the centrifugal force of the Tail Hammer, these impacts felt insignificant.

The Explosive Frag Dragon saw black spots, rolling several times from the impact, struggling twice before ceasing movement.

Dizzy, Jie Jie also fell, the slime on him exploding, leaving him sitting on the ground for quite a while before regaining consciousness.

Sniffing lightly, he smelled meaty aroma wafting from himself, realizing the Tail Hammer Dragon wasn’t suited for such a steamy environment.

Considering he still had to dissect the Explosive Frag Dragon’s corpse, he transformed into the Extinction Dragon, walking toward the Frag Dragon while involuntarily imagining various aromatic herbivorous dragon meats.
