Chapter 41: Charging for Five Minutes, Energized for a Whole Day
“Sorry. I won’t do this again in the future.”
After being “taught a lesson” by Aierjisi, Reina knelt in front of her and promised she would never do such a thing again.
“Alright. Aier, since my mom has apologized so sincerely, you should forgive her.”
Yake, standing nearby, also urged Aierjisi.
“Hmph, seeing that your attitude of admitting your mistake is so sincere, I’ll let you off this time. Get up.”
“Okay! Ah… my legs are numb. Xier, Yake, help me up!”
After kneeling for too long, Reina’s legs had gone numb, and with the help of her two children, she finally stood up and sat on the sofa.
“Mom, really? Why would you go and drug someone? What girl wouldn’t run away scared after that?”
Yake took this opportunity to lecture his mother, feeling that he had been single all this time largely due to her. No mother should directly drug someone! That was bound to scare them away!
“Ugh. Mom thought you and Little Aier were making slow progress, so she wanted to help speed things up. I added Venus Grass powder to your dinner. I didn’t expect you not to eat it, and Little Aier ended up eating it all!”
According to Reina’s plan, if the two ate the Venus Grass, they would boost each other’s affection and possibly even end up intimate. But since Yake hadn’t eaten it, he remained clear-headed and saw through Reina’s scheme. However, it wasn’t all bad, since Aierjisi was now considering Yake as a potential partner. Though right now, he was the only one in that consideration.
“If nothing’s wrong, I’m going to sleep now. I have to go out and play with Yake tomorrow, and being sleep-deprived will affect how I feel. Goodnight.”
Aierjisi returned to her room on the second floor to sleep, leaving the Yake family behind.
“Mom… if there’s nothing else, I’m also going upstairs.”
“Wait.”
“Is there something else, Mom?”
“I’m just reminding you, if you haven’t pushed Little Aier down in 30 days, you should know what the consequences are.”
Even though Reina’s drug plan couldn’t be used anymore, that didn’t mean she would stand by and watch Yake and Aierjisi crawl along at a snail’s pace. She could only pressure Yake to speed things up.
“Mom, no matter how you look at it, 30 days is just too short.”
Yake looked at his mother with tears in his eyes. He had just become a candidate partner for the Little Princess; how could he possibly push Little Aier down in the remaining 29 days?
“I don’t care. How you push Little Aier down in these 30 days is your mission. If you can’t do that, don’t bother coming back.”
Clearly, this matter was non-negotiable for Reina. Yake could only grit his teeth and accept the task.
【I can only try to crazy farm affection points in the next 29 days.】
To avoid being kicked out, Yake decided to go all out. In the next 29 days, he aimed to strive for promotion from candidate to husband of the Little Princess.
Let’s go, Yake! You got this! You can do it!
The next morning…
“Yake, Yake, wake up! What time is it, still sleeping?”
After finishing breakfast made by Reina, Aierjisi returned to her room and found Yake still asleep. Without a second thought, she climbed on top of him and shook him to wake him up.
“Ah… Aier, stop pushing me! I’m awake, I’m awake. Can you get off me first?”
Thus, Yake was forced out of his dreams. He had been thinking all night about how to push down the Little Princess within these 30 days, finally falling asleep around 4 AM. Now it was only 7 AM, and the Little Princess was already shaking him awake. Yake felt like he was dying; he had only slept three hours and had to take the Little Princess out for a whole day. Just thinking about it made his head spin.
“Get up already! Today, I want to see more interesting things. Why does your face look so bad? Are you sick?”
Seeing Yake’s lifeless face, Aierjisi reached out and touched his forehead; he didn’t seem to have a fever.
“Sort of. I was thinking about some things yesterday and went to bed late. I’m a bit sleep-deprived.”
Yake yawned and stood up from the bed, but due to tiredness, he fell back onto the bed.
“Sleep-deprived? I really can’t do anything with you. Knowing we’re going out together, you still went to bed so late. Come here, lie down.”
Aierjisi knitted her legs together and sat on the bed, patting her smooth thigh for Yake to lie on her lap.
“What are you doing?”
Yake lay on Aierjisi’s thigh, and she placed her hands on either side of his head.
“You’ll find out soon. It’s nothing, it’ll end pretty quickly.”
Aierjisi began to channel her magic power, releasing blue particles from her hands.
Yake was affected by these blue particles and, already feeling sleepy, easily dozed off.
When he woke up, he was still lying on Aierjisi’s lap. She was looking down at him.
“How do you feel? Much better?”
Seeing Yake waking up, Aierjisi asked him.
“I feel… indeed a lot better. It feels like I had a nice long sleep. How long did I sleep? I didn’t lie on your lap for a whole day, did I?”
“Of course not! I said it would be over quickly. You only slept for about five minutes. It’s still morning!”
“Five minutes?! For real?! I feel like I just slept for 15 hours!”
Yake moved his body around. He had never felt so revitalized before; it was impossible that just five minutes could give him this energy.
“Of course it was five minutes! Seeing you looking so tired in the morning, I used this special magic on you. It allows you to have the rest of 15 hours in just five minutes of sleep.”
“Wow. There’s even such magic? That’s totally unreasonable!”
Yake gained a new understanding of magic. There was actually such an absurd kind of magic.
“Though this magic is unreasonable, it shouldn’t be used on the same person frequently. It’s a bit like a stimulant; using it long-term can cause irreversible harm to the body. So, you better pay attention to your sleep.”
Aierjisi squinted at her servant and began to lecture him.
