“Huh? What is it?”
“…What is going on here?”
About ten minutes ago.
Team A, consisting of Asuna, Karin, and Akane, had entered the building as planned. The three successfully entered through the second-floor window using a rope and grappling hook, guns drawn immediately after. However, before they knew it, they broke the unwritten rule of their operation and involuntarily let out a sound.
But no one reprimanded them.
All three shared the same emotion.
“Is there… no enemy here?”
The situation inside the building was far from what they had expected.
It was a scene resembling a war had just taken place, a chaotic mess that matched the term perfectly, leaving the three looking bewildered.
Every room they checked—the office, the restroom, the conference room—none were in a decent condition. The absence of any enemy coupled with the dystopian landscape of the building’s interior was enough to disorient the members of Team A.
Of course, they weren’t the type to succumb to panic.
“…I can’t make sense of this.”
“There isn’t a single intact object here. Furniture, items, everything has been destroyed.”
“Exactly what happened here?”
The situation was enough to make them realize it was far from ordinary.
This situation drove them to decide on exploring the space further.
“…What is that?”
As a result.
With a bit of anxiety and confusion in their hearts, the three slowly descended the floor, eventually reaching the first floor. There, they faced the culprit and ringleader.
[You’ve finally arrived.]
A deep voice spread suddenly.
The voice was coming from the darkness where all the lights had been turned off.
The crimson glare emanating from the origin point.
In a manner that suited the ominous expression, the crimson-eyed owner greeted the members of C&C, including Asuna, as if waiting for them.
[You mutts of Seminar.]
While insulting C&C, the figure began moving forward, revealing undeniable hostility and taking steps that sent continuous vibrations throughout the building.
BOOM-
BOOM-
Like the sound of a tank moving.
As if a giant ball of steel was pounding the floor, heavy vibrations reached the area where Asuna and her group stood.
With strained expressions, Asuna and the others focused on the crimson glare that was approaching them unknowingly, as it was the only thing visible in the dark.
And before they knew it,
In the dimly lit area, the figure stopped, revealing its true form to Asuna’s group.
“…”
“What is that thing?”
A massive frame. A full-body steel suit.
Two large gatling guns attached to its arms and… prominent malice.
[Hohoho. It’s been a while, hasn’t it, you maids clad in that pathetic outfit so devoid of practicality. Idiots.]
The tone implied that the figure had faced C&C in the past, though it was unclear when.
Still, there was nothing ambiguous about the hatred emitted by the towering figure towards them.
[That hateful glare. I don’t like it. You have always been doing this. Whenever I conduct research, you barge in claiming it is illegal or dangerous! My suit is supreme! No one can contradict it!]
“… You’re ex-Millennium, aren’t you?”
[Right! Though I don’t belong to anything now!]
Hahahaha!
It was a madman’s laugh filled with insanity.
The laughter echoed loudly throughout the room.
He proceeded to stomp violently in anger, each step resonating with fury.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
[My research is perfect, I say! You fools!!]
Even though Asuna and her group tried to cover their ears, they couldn’t help but widen their eyes in shock as they discovered something unexpected.
In the moment when the curtain shifted due to the vibrations from stomping around, the scene was—
“…?!”
“What is this…!?”
The twenty enemies they were originally supposed to face were lying unconscious on the floor.
[Oh, these people you mean? Now that you’ve found out, it’s only a matter of time before I get caught. So, I’ve done the honors of dealing with them for you. I have more important things to do.]
“… More important things?”
What could it be? Just as that question arose in the minds of Asuna and her group,
[I’m going to destroy all of you.]
[To prove that my research was not wrong!]
[This is my goal!]
With a loud shout, the figure began charging straight towards Asuna’s group.
And thus began the first clash between C&C and the villain who would later be known as ‘Rhino.’
2.
Let’s take a moment to think about the original.
When I refer to the original, I’m talking not about ‘Blue Archive,’ but rather the Marvel universe where Rhino makes an appearance.
Rhino, who primarily showed up in Spider-Man series, was not really portrayed as an incredibly powerful villain compared to others when viewed objectively.
Of course, one reason might be that the abilities and strengths of other villains were disproportionately high, but Rhino was essentially a brute who relied on great physical strength and a suit.
But how about here in Kiburatos?
Will Rhino’s inherent abilities hold up here against students who shrug off bullets and are superhuman?
No, that’s not possible.
This is a world where every student is a superhuman – one might say, where a high school girl equals Captain America. Therefore, even someone like Rhino, who boasts of extraordinary physical strength, standing against elite operatives like C&C would be unthinkable.
But why then did C&C struggle against Rhino?
The answer to that question is rather simple, essentially coming down to a case of elemental mismatch.
In a world where firearms are legal, all combat necessarily involves firearms. Conversely, knowledge or experience in close-quarters combat is inevitably scarce, as battles require more than just physical strength.
That’s precisely why C&C struggled to adapt to Rhino’s overwhelming physical prowess combined with the unfamiliar close-range combat style.
To begin with, there aren’t many in Kiburatos who can completely overpower opponents with physical strength alone. Only a handful of top students from each academy can do so.
That’s why it’s understandable that Asuna and her team struggled.
The suit impervious to bullets.
That’s the fundamental reason why Asuna’s team faced difficulties. The solution?
Simple. Just eliminate the source of the problem.
“Destroy the suit. That should be enough.”
Thus, the shield was wielded. A prototype so impervious that no metal could damage it—Asuna trusted this shield implicitly.
The moment’s judgment proved fitting.
The attacks launched with the shield started to work against the opponent.
BOOM—!
With the first strike, his face was shattered.
BOOM—!
The second destroyed the joint of his shoulder.
BOOM—!!
The third blew apart his lower section.
As Rhino watched his suit falling apart, confusion began to show in his eyes. But I didn’t stop—continuing to pummel him relentlessly with the shield.
“Gasp!”
Even when he tried to retaliate and swing his arms, I evaded all his attacks by relying on heightened senses, either twisting my body or jumping.
Each of Rhino’s attacks that missed, whether hitting the air or the ground, proved his monstrous strength with intense shocks.
A single hit could deal immense damage.
But surely, avoiding him entirely would be sufficient.
“Hey! Such a small mouse!”
“Compared to you, you’re unbearably slow.”
“Argh! You’ll get hit! You hear me?!”
Another weakness of Rhino’s is this.
While he has high physical strength, the heavy suit slows him down, his reflexes are sluggish, and his intelligence lowers his judgment.
As a result, his tendency to take rash actions or extremes is a feature of Rhino’s personality.
The mindset that once you catch him, you’ve won.
The reason Rhino’s signature move is his charge stems from the mindset of dealing with enemies directly, like he’s doing right now.
[AHHHH—!!]
Throwing his body forward to knock me down, Rhino rushed in. I didn’t retreat but stood my ground.
Given my similarly confident physical strength.
With my arms wide open, I grappled Rhino and pushed immense power against him, meeting force with force.
The intense pressure in our hands increased, but I held my ground as I gripped his hands tightly, aiming to crush them.
Crrrrk…
As pieces from both of our hands tore off, sounds of destruction echoed from the grip but neither of us let go. Instead, we continued to exert even more force, driving the pressure until the end.
Though outwardly, the reactions were different.
[Ahhh…!]
“Your name? The real name, not the title.”
“Fuck! Shit! Let go, I said!”
“Answer me.”
Rhino’s hands started to crumble the gloves of his suit as he groaned in pain due to the crushing force. While I also felt a splitting pain in both my hands, I questioned him calmly despite it.
I had a healing power, so even if my hands broke, it wouldn’t matter.
Himari might scold me, but getting information on this guy was more important now.
I’d sacrifice a little muscle for the sake of taking the bone.
After several seconds of a tense standoff,
The guy screamed loudly, unable to bear it any longer.
[Rhino! My name is Rhino!]
“…Hmm.”
Same name as in the original, huh?
I chuckled lightly while gripping him even harder. There was still more I needed to ask.
“AAH! Why… whhyy…!”
“One more question. Were there other special inmates like you in the Correction Bureau? Someone with a scorpion-like suit, or maybe one that resembled a goblin.”
[If you’re talking about the Seven Sins…!]
“No, not them. Any others.”
[I don’t know! I don’t know, alright! Isn’t it strange dealing with such foolish people!]
“Hmm. Alright.”
That did make sense.
Though I was somewhat disappointed, I nodded and released his hand. Afterward—
[Moron! Hahaha! You’re dead!]
The moment he was relieved of the pain, thinking I had let my guard down, Rhino immediately threw a punch, showing his predictable nature again.
Of course, since I had not let my guard down from the beginning, I immediately raised my shield.
BANG—!
It wasn’t even necessary to raise my shield.
A bullet suddenly flew from behind and hit Rhino’s exposed skin where his suit had been stripped off.
[AAHHHH!]
“You bastard! Who did you mess with?!”
Rhino screamed in pain from being hit by bullets on his skin.
But C&C, who quickly closed the distance beside me, didn’t spare him and kept shooting him relentlessly.
“Hmph. Seemed like this guy fully relied on his suit.”
“Hahaha! Our leader is furious!”
“I guess we need to practice combat techniques when we return.”
The extent of Rhino’s defeat with only his suit gone revealed how weak he was without it. It also displayed just how terrifying C&C, especially Neru, could become in fury.
“Aang?! Dirt boy? Did you actually call him that, you bastard?!”
“Man, she’s scary.”
Honestly, even without my involvement, this could have been won.
Seeing Neru beat Rhino up like handling a rat, I couldn’t help but think that.
Still, it’s not surprising that the title of the academy’s strongest fighter isn’t an exaggeration.
“Ts. Looks like he’s unconscious. Let’s call it a day.”
With Neru declaring the success of the mission, the situation was officially over.

… I thought it was over.
If only, two days later, my face – or rather, our team’s appearance – hadn’t gone viral on the internet.
“Fuck.”
It’s obvious after a quick look.
C&C was already famous, so from time to time, their activities were captured on social media. Normally, it wouldn’t gain much attention, but this time it became a talking point.
A new villain type and the existence of me, appearing as a teammate.
If you’re even somewhat interested in news, it would naturally pique your curiosity. But still…
“What is with this news coverage?”
Is it really that much?
Despite my lament, the buzz online showed no sign of dying down for days. In fact, it might have grown even larger, with articles now starting to appear.
===
[C&C’s rumored new member has been rejected by Seminar officials, claiming it was a mere temporary collaboration.]
[Revealing the identity of the girl who held a shield against the monster.]
[Tracking the deeds of the nameless rescuer, ‘Nanashi’.]

“Shit…”
Please, don’t focus on me.
I’m nothing extraordinary, so please stop probing.

[So, who is this older sister? Hurry, I’m dying to know.]
[I’m a Millennium student but she might be a first-year. Anyone who knows will know. She’s pretty famous.]
└ [First-year and yet the movements seem beyond that; though…]
└ [Isn’t she the little one who became famous as ‘Little Double-O’? Could it be her??]
└ [Yes, that’s her.]
└ [The rumors are true about her fighting skills.]
└ [Oh my goodness… her figure…]
└ [I can’t believe my heart’s so broad…]
└ [She’s so cute when she feels embarrassed in her maid outfit.]
[Wait, wasn’t C&C supposed to be a secret organization?]
└ [Ah! ‘The most famous secret organization,’ haven’t you heard?]
—
[So where can I meet this older sister? Quickly.]
└ [Go to Millennium Fitness Center. She appears there every morning.]
└ [But I’m from Gehenna Academy, can I join?]
└ [I’m from Trinity, clicked like. I’m going now.]
└ [Both of you shut up.]

“… How am I supposed to go to school now?”
I woke up this morning to find myself suddenly famous.
How am I supposed to handle this situation?
Why did this happen to me?
