Chapter 49: Is It Me Who Can’t Cut, or Are You Just Hard-Headed?
“What’s that sound?”
Hearing that familiar noise, Aierjisi looked up, and not just her—Yake and Harker also raised their heads to look above.
A red sphere was rapidly approaching, finally crashing down to the ground and exploding upon impact. Amidst the smoke from the explosion, a familiar figure appeared.
“You motherf—”
Seeing that recognizable figure, Harker instantly let out a string of curses. Given the current situation, he wasn’t too keen on seeing this person.
“Aisi-sensei!”
Aierjisi shouted his name excitedly. She thought she was the last surviving member of the Blood Clan. She never expected Aisi-sensei would still be alive.
“Eh? This guy is Aisi?”
Yake regarded the man before him. He had heard the name multiple times from the Little Princess. He was the one who taught her magic since childhood.
“The energy waves from your battle drew me here. You’ve done well to fight this long. Aierjisi, take a rest. I’ll handle this fight now.”
Aisi glanced at Aierjisi, who was lying on the ground. Having used the Blood Clan Great Explosion, she was utterly unable to move her body and needed to rest first. He then turned his attention to Harker. Whoever dared to attack the Little Princess would not go unpunished!
“Aisi! Aisi! Die!”
Upon seeing Aisi, Harker didn’t waste time chatting and immediately hurled two bolts of lightning at him. He knew that trying to talk Aisi down was pointless; once declared an enemy, there was no room for negotiation.
Aisi conjured a magic barrier with one hand to block the lightning strikes. With his other hand, he unleashed cutting energy blasts, continuously attacking Harker while advancing to close the distance between them.
Determining the distance was almost right, Aisi tossed aside the barrier and concentrated magic in his right hand to form a swirling serrated blade, swinging it down at Harker.
“Motherf—! That hurts! It hurts, ahhhh!!!”
Though Harker’s physical body could withstand Aisi’s light saw, that didn’t mean his sense of pain would diminish. After taking a hit from Aisi, Harker howled in pain, quickly flapping his wings to push Aisi back.
As he was knocked away by Harker, Aisi didn’t forget to throw the light saw at him, hoping to inflict as much damage as possible.
“Aier, is this the Aisi-sensei you often mentioned? His strength is incredible.”
During Aisi’s confrontation with Harker, Yake made his way to Aierjisi’s side to protect her.
“Yes. Aisi-sensei is quite powerful in magic; if he claims to be second in the Blood Clan, no one else would dare say they’re first.”
With Yake’s support, Aierjisi managed to stand up, albeit barely.
“Aisi! Aisi! Why do you have to show up now and ruin my plans! Whether it was back then or now!”
Harker roared angrily at Aisi. Ever since that time, he had found Aisi extremely annoying. This guy always showed up to ruin his opportunities.
“You are Harker?”
Having transformed into a completely different being, Aisi did not recognize him at first. It was only upon hearing his words that he realized.
“Aisi! Aisi! Aisi!”
Perhaps due to the influence of the Seed of Chaos on his body, Harker’s rationality was gradually consumed by rage as the battle wore on. The only thought in his mind was to shred this persistent obstacle to his plans.
“Yake, don’t worry about me. Go help Aisi-sensei. Right now, it doesn’t look like Aisi-sensei can handle Harker alone.”
Although Aierjisi wasn’t sure whether Aisi could manage it by himself against Harker, considering the current situation, every bit of fighting power mattered.
“But what about you? I can’t just leave you!”
“Don’t worry about me. If something happens, I’ll notify you through the contract. Now go!”
More than her own safety, Aierjisi was worried about Aisi’s situation. Having just used the Blood Clan Great Explosion, her body hadn’t fully recovered. Even if she wanted to help, she couldn’t move her body and had to rely on her servant Yake to fight in her place.
“Alright, I’ll be back soon.”
Yake retrieved his weapon and re-entered the fray.
“Um… Nice to meet you. Aisi-sensei, I’m Yake, Aierjisi’s servant. Let’s take this guy down together.”
Before they engaged in battle, he properly introduced himself to Aisi.
“Yeah. I can sense Aierjisi’s aura coming from you. No need for more words, let’s take this guy down.”
“Alright!”
Looking at the already furious Harker, Aisi and Yake split up, attempting to flank him on either side.
Harker naturally targeted Aisi, pursuing him relentlessly while completely ignoring Yake who had circled behind him. Seizing the opportunity, Yake dealt a powerful blow to Harker’s back with his enhanced sword, leaving a deep wound.
“Ah!”
Feeling pain in his back, Harker immediately turned around, intending to deal with this pesky foe first.
“Where do you think you’re looking? Your opponent is me.”
Seeing Harker’s back turned, Aisi released a beam of colorful light that struck him in the back.
“You bastard!”
Harker quickly spun around to retaliate against Aisi.
“Hey, you dumbass, where are you looking?”
Yake slashed down with his sword again. Harker was forced to turn again, repeating the cycle of Aisi attacking, turning, Yake attacking, and so on.
Gradually, under the combined attacks of Yake and Aisi, Harker’s body was starting to falter.
“Yake, get out of the way! I’m going to end this guy’s life!”
“Okay!”
Yake quickly distanced himself from Harker. Aisi concentrated the remaining magic inside him into both hands, creating five identical light saws targeting Harker’s limbs and head, firing them at him.
The light saws flew through Harker’s body, severing his limbs and head cleanly apart.
“With this, it should be fine.”
Looking at the dismembered Harker, Aisi felt a sense of relief. Although the Blood Clan possessed incredible vitality that allowed them to survive even if their bodies were shredded, Harker had transformed into a completely different creature now; he likely wouldn’t revive.
“Aisi-sensei, you really are incredible!”
Aierjisi looked at him with envy. Her application of magic was far less fluid than his.
“Come on, Aierjisi. Stand up. It should be safe now.”
Aisi extended his hand and helped Aierjisi up from the ground.
“Yes. By the way, Aisi-sensei, I got a tiny bit of information from Harker. The force behind the destruction of the Blood Clan is related to them.”
Aierjisi prepared to share the information about the Chaos Clan she learned from Harker with Aisi, discussing the strategies for the future.
“Chaos Destruction!”
