Chapter 492: The Junior Martial Brother’s Divine Strategy
Lin Nuo was hiding to watch the excitement when he heard a familiar voice.
That sound made him shiver, bringing back memories of the emotions in his previous dream.
To hell with that bullshit love; once I dominate the world, I’ll spend each day fishing in the pond, eating Meat Floss Cake, and drinking cool water.
Shaking his head, Lin Nuo thought it was just a dream, and he was the only one who knew; this matter could just be left unresolved.
“What a coincidence, looks like you’re here too.”
Lin Nuo replied carelessly, making it sound like he had come looking for her on purpose, when in reality, he only approached after hearing some commotion.
Qin Shili didn’t say anything further, stepping forward to embrace him and then kissing his lips.
Before, it was just a quick peck, but now she was going all out with a kiss and a hug.
This brought back memories of their dream scene, back at their little house in the woods, fancifully named a secluded retreat, their home sweet home.
This was unbearable; a big villain like him shouldn’t be engaging in such heartfelt antics. Absolute black history.
Qin Shili’s lips were cool as always, like refreshing water on a hot summer day, soothing and chilling all the way down.
The hug and kiss didn’t last long; after all, Qin Shili knew how to keep things balanced.
With trouble in the town, they still needed to focus on saving it first.
After a brief display of affection, Qin Shili let go.
Lin Nuo was left with her scent lingering on him, which would require some props to eliminate.
Here he was, a thug from the underworld, smelling like a female cultivator. What kind of reputation would that give him back at the organization?
Oh, right, he was the only representative of an organization here.
No worries then.
He lightly tapped his finger on his lips and said, “You really don’t care about your image, do you?”
“This is our agreed-upon way; it’s normal. Nothing to do with losing face,” Qin Shili replied coldly.
“Even if it’s agreed upon, you and I are from different factions. It wouldn’t look good for outsiders to see this; this isn’t some small woods.”
“Sorry, I couldn’t restrain myself this time. I was quite excited to see you.”
After a moment, she continued, “But I will next time.”
With her icy tone, Qin Shili playfully said, “I’m sorry, I was wrong; I’ll dare to do it again,” making Lin Nuo’s feelings quite complicated.
Qin Shili drew her sharp ice sword, her gaze shifting to the invaders, filled with seriousness.
“Looks like they are the masterminds; don’t you interfere, I can take care of them.”
Qin Shili wanted to avenge the grievances from her dreams. Earlier, she had been under a spell, trapped in a dream, and wasn’t a match for them.
But now that she was back in reality, she felt a surge of confidence.
The person throwing punches looked remarkably similar to the one from her dream, just without dragon horns on the sides of his head.
There was no vast blue sea here, nor the terrifying giant dragon; everything virtual from her dream had vanished.
Before Lin Nuo could respond, Qin Shili charged ahead to assist Liu Shuqin and the others, eager to engage with the dragon man, Heng.
“Who wants to make a move? I’m just here to watch the fun.”
Lin Nuo grumbled, coming to reap the rewards after both sides had taken heavy hits. Saying he would intervene wasn’t wrong, but there’s a difference between picking up the pieces and engaging in a righteous battle.
As Qin Shili dashed forward, Heng immediately recognized the silver-haired girl.
“Heh, remember me, woman?” Heng smirked.
“No impression,” Qin Shili shot back coldly, charging at him with her sword. A chill surged, and she unleashed countless ice spikes towards Heng.
Heng didn’t dodge; instead, he faced them head-on, roaring as he unleashed a powerful energy that shattered all the flying ice spikes.
“You were just lucky before; now without any protection, let’s see how you fare.”
Heng considered killing Qin Shili directly; it would be much more satisfying than in a dream.
Without using any weapons, he relied solely on his fists, every punch packed with immense power capable of shattering nearby structures.
Liu Shuqin and Elder Yuan fell back, while Qin Shili summoned her ice domain, moving gracefully within it, her sword glinting as she lashed out. The cold swept over Heng, freezing his limbs.
However, the freezing effect wasn’t lasting; it was quickly broken by Heng’s overwhelming energy shattering the ice.
Though Qin Shili was strong, after a bout with Heng, she found herself at a disadvantage.
Bang!
A burst of energy exploded, sending Qin Shili staggering back.
“Shi Li, are you okay?”
Seeing Qin Shili sustain some injuries, senior sister Liu Shuqin hurried to cast a healing spell.
“No problem,” Qin Shili coldly replied, then engaged with Heng again.
The Sea Domain Dragon Clan possessed excellent battle experience and skills, and their spiritual talents were generally superior to humans. The dragon men dispatched to land were obviously the best of the best; by human standards, they would probably rank around mid-eighth tier, naturally outclassing the mid-seventh tier Qin Shili.
Rumor had it that humans had evolved to be stronger than the Sea Domain Dragons, but Heng thought that was nonsense. In their real-world battles, he hadn’t seen them displaying much strength.
If it weren’t for the dream experiment, he could have slaughtered humans at will.
Qin Shili focused intently, scanning for flaws, but still couldn’t turn the tide.
She was pushed back again, having exhausted most of her energy, while Heng continued his relentless assault with powerful punches.
Liu Shuqin rushed to assist, wielding her spirit sword to delay the opponent, buying Qin Shili some much-needed time to catch her breath.
This infuriated Heng, who gathered his strength for a fierce attack, smashing through Liu Shuqin’s sturdy earth spirit shield, following through with a punch.
Liu Shuqin didn’t have time to evade; without protection, she was bound to suffer serious injuries. In a moment of crisis, the talismans on her activated.
Boom!
A powerful force erupted, radiating a brilliant golden light.
Everyone was taken aback; this golden light was dazzling, and Liu Shuqin instantly appeared as if illuminated by a myriad of Buddhas, the holy light shining down.
To Heng and his allies, that light looked eerily familiar.
Isn’t this the dream? That kid’s dazzling Buddha light, right?
Not only were they shocked, but Lin Nuo was too.
The protective talisman he had given Liu Shuqin was a small Great威天龙; it was effective against strong attacks, and while he had tested it, it didn’t seem particularly powerful.
But now… isn’t this Buddha light a bit excessive? Are you a direct disciple of the Buddha’s palm? Ten Thousand Buddhas converging?
He recalled being a celestial being in his dream, reflecting on his black history that he wished would stay buried.
Could we not dig up the past?
Liu Shuqin was unaware of the situation; the holy light gave her a sense of security, reminding her of the sword immortal Lin Nuo from her dreams.
This talisman was given to her by her junior brother, who saved her in the dream.
So it must be that her junior brother calculated her disaster, and this talisman was meant for this very moment.
Junior brother, truly all-powerful.

I probably won’t finish today; my sleep schedule’s been a bit off lately, and I’m feeling unwell. I’ll head to bed early and just do one update now. Tomorrow’s the weekend, so three updates then.
