Chapter 53: No Thought Shadow Kill

Chapter 53: No Thought Shadow Kill

The woman noticed Aierjisi, who had been watching her from the audience. So, she lifted her head to look at her.

Number 4 seized the opportunity, and the moment she looked towards the audience, he swung his massive axe down with a fierce force.

“I won! No one can stay standing after taking a hit from me!”

Just when Number 4 thought victory was within his grasp, an unexpected twist occurred.

“What?!”

Before he could react, his body suddenly fell to the ground as if something had pierced him.

“Hmm?”

Hearing the loud crash as Number 4 hit the ground, the woman turned to see him down and out.

Her gun, which had been in her hand the whole time, was now thrust forward.

“No Thought Shadow Kill. Can’t believe I actually got to see this move in my lifetime.”

Witnessing that moment, Aierjisi quickly realized just how terrifying that woman’s power truly was.

“No Thought Shadow Kill? What kind of skill is that?”

When the Little Princess mentioned a name he had never heard before, Yake’s curiosity piqued—what kind of skill was this? He had never heard of it!

“This was my first time witnessing this move as well.”

Aierjisi whispered to Yake, explaining just how dreadful this technique was.

No Thought Shadow Kill is a technique that involves sensing the enemy’s killing intent, identifying their moment of negligence, and instinctively countering with a strike.

Aierjisi had heard about this move from Leo-sensei during martial arts training, but she never imagined she would be lucky enough to see it in action.

“So what you’re saying is… that the move just now, the woman didn’t even consciously do it? It just happened instinctively?”

After hearing the Little Princess’s explanation, Yake started to grasp what this move entailed. If it was as terrifying as she said, then he had no chance of winning.

“That’s right, given your current level, there’s absolutely no way you could defeat that woman. Even I can’t be 100% sure of beating her.”

“No way, is this skill really that powerful?”

“Of course! Mastering this move is extremely difficult. It’s said that there are no more than five people in the whole world who can actually learn it. I can’t believe I got to see one of them today!”

Aierjisi continued to watch the woman still engaged in combat. The outcome of this battle was becoming increasingly evident. Number 4, who had started off brimming with confidence, had turned into the woman’s prey, continually pierced by her spear.

Under the woman’s relentless assault, Number 4 could only begrudgingly fall to the ground, signifying his defeat.

“See? That woman’s strength is really that formidable. It’s time to let go of your prejudiced notions based on appearances.”

Observing the woman who was set to move forward, Aierjisi used her as an example to teach Yake.

“Okay, okay, I got it. But that woman really is strong! Aier, if I were to face off against her, what do you think my chances would be?”

“I’ll think about it… Maybe about 30%.”

“Only that low? Just a 30% chance for me?”

Yake was astounded by the Little Princess’s estimation. He knew his chances were slim, but he hadn’t expected it to be as low as just 30%.

“For sure! Do you think you’re strong right now? Truth be told, that 30% chance assumes she’s holding back. If that woman goes all out, you’ll probably have less than 10%!”

“Ugh…”

Being schooled by Aierjisi made Yake realize just how weak he really was. It seems there was still a long way to go before he could become a true powerhouse. Especially since he still had to face those Ultimate Life Forms, he needed to become even stronger!

“Alright, looks like I gotta step it up!”

Clenching his fists, Yake motivated himself.

“From here on out, there’s nothing worth watching. Let’s find somewhere else to rest. It’s too noisy here. Can’t relax at all.”

“Oh! I know of a good place. Follow me!”

“A good place?”

Aierjisi followed Yake, curious about where he meant.

“Oh, so this is the contestants’ rest room! Well, this is definitely quieter than the audience section. The contestants can also get a good rest here. But are you sure it’s okay for me to come in? I’m not a contestant, after all.”

Aierjisi looked at Yake with a dubious expression—was it really okay for a non-contestant like her to be here?

“No problem, no problem! Friends or family of contestants can come in and rest together. Come on, take a seat! It’s way more comfortable here than in the audience!”

“Even so…”

Aierjisi sat on the couch, feeling a tad uneasy. After all, being a non-contestant in there just felt off.

“Oh, contestant number 15! I saw your battle earlier—it was truly spectacular! Your strength is incredible!”

Just then, Number 15, the woman from earlier, returned to the rest room. Yake rushed over to greet her, praising her fierce abilities.

“Thanks for the compliment! But even if you’re trying to flatter me, it won’t help you in battle. I won’t be lenient!”

It seemed the woman took Yake’s compliments as an attempt to win her favor, hoping she might go easy on him in battle.

“Not at all! In fact, if you were to go easy on me, that would be an insult! The best way to respect an opponent is to give it your all. So, I will fight my hardest against you.”

“Then I’m looking forward to our final match.”

The woman also believed that aside from herself and Yake, no other contestants were worthy of making it to the finals.

“Hmm? You’re that girl who’s been watching me from the audience.”

The woman turned her head to notice Aierjisi, who had been lounging on the couch, observing her and Yake.

“Hey! Glad you noticed me! Your fight was amazing. Especially that No Thought Shadow Kill—I never thought I’d get to see it firsthand!”

Aierjisi smiled and greeted her warmly.

“That was taught to me by my brother. But my No Thought Shadow Kill is just a clumsy version—not nearly enough. My brother’s No Thought Shadow Kill is the real deal.”

The woman sat on the couch, twisting open a bottle of water to hydrate herself.
