Chapter 58: Clean-up Operation

Chapter 58: Clean-up Operation

In the game, aside from Aierjisi, who belongs to the Moon faction, there are five other characters available for players to control.

The Sylph from the Wind faction: Xilin Randell

The Phoenix from the Fire faction: Weila Feiya Luo Suo

The Ice Dragon from the Water faction: Ailin Saige Te

The Swordsman from the Earth faction: Nia Olaf

The Saintess from the Light faction: Saila Ya Da Er Ke

“Alright, Teacher Aisi. I think I have a good grasp of the situation. It seems that to resolve this crisis by taking down those Adrian People, I need to find the other five and team up with them.”

“Just teaming up isn’t enough, Your Highness. Gabriel told me that your current strength isn’t sufficient to confront them. You need to get stronger.”

“Well… that’s a tricky problem. Getting stronger sounds easy, but it’s actually tough.”

Aierjisi wore a distressed expression. If only there were a game system to help her out, she’d at least know her level and where to grind for upgrades. Sadly, despite being in a game world, she wasn’t receiving any assistance from a system.

“But, Your Highness, you’ve done it once before, haven’t you?”

At that time, Aisi thought he was doomed. But unexpectedly, the Little Princess unleashed a power far beyond his imagination, driving Gilbaris away with it.

“The problem is, I didn’t have any memory of that moment. Right now, I can’t harness that power.”

She had already discussed that situation with Yake in her consciousness space, but she had no recollection of it at all. If using that power required a state of unconsciousness, it was no different from not having it at all.

“Forget it… Let’s rest for now, Teacher Aisi. When dawn breaks, we can think about our future strategy. I’m really tired right now.”

“Alright, good night, Your Highness. I will ensure your safety.”

Aierjisi lay down on her original bed and quickly fell asleep. Aisi remained as before, sprawled over the table, making sure not to fall too deep into sleep. He would wake up at the slightest noise in the room.

[Only five people, it’s probably best to find that Saintess first.]

Before drifting off, Aierjisi thought about the order in which she should seek those five. While she was focused on the Little Princess during the game, she had some understanding of the other five characters’ settings. The easiest to deal with should be the Saintess from the Light faction. Moreover, since she was currently in the human realm, tracking down that Saintess wouldn’t be too troublesome, making it much simpler than finding the other four.

The next morning…

“Ugh… yesterday was quite something…”

As Yake sat up in bed, he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. It seemed that the spicy mapo ramen from last night had a more prolonged effect on him than he’d anticipated. At least he couldn’t handle any spicy foods this morning.

“You’re awake?”

Seeing Yake awake, Aisi, who had been sleeping with his head on the table, sat up and stretched.

“Teacher Aisi, did you really sleep the whole night like that, sprawled over the table?”

“Yep. To protect Your Highness, I couldn’t allow myself to sleep too deeply, so I chose to sleep on the table.”

“Then you should come over and lie down on the bed for a bit. It’s uncomfortable to sleep like that for long, and it’s not good for your health.”

Yake quickly stood up and gestured for Aisi to lie down.

“No need. Even just lying on the table has allowed me to recover pretty well.”

Because the window was right beside the table, Aisi was exposed to the moonlight, which helped him recover due to the magic carried by the moonlight as a member of the Blood Clan. Their bodies were much stronger than humans, so just sleeping on the table for a night didn’t faze him at all.

“Do you need anything to eat this morning? I can go buy something for you.”

Yake expressed deep respect for Aisi. He had heard the Little Princess talk about him a lot, so meeting him in person made him admire him even more.

“You can buy whatever you like. I don’t know much about human food, so whatever you bring back, I’ll eat it.”

“Alright. Wait here a moment; I’ll go get breakfast.”

Yake dashed out of the room, leaving Aisi and Aierjisi alone in the inn room.

“Hmm. This attitude is pretty good. Your Highness, your servant seems quite decent.”

Yake’s respectful demeanor earned Aisi’s approval. Nobody hates being respected, after all. It seemed the Little Princess had a good eye for choosing her followers, at least not picking any rotten fish.

“Yake? Have you resolved things with Little Aier yet?”

Just as Yake was heading out for breakfast, he happened to run into his mother, Reina, and sister, Xier, who were also here for breakfast.

“Mom, Xier. Good morning! Yes, everything was resolved last night, so you can head home anytime. I just don’t know if we can still stay there, considering there’s a big hole now.”

Yake explained awkwardly to his mother and sister. With a big hole blown in their house, valuables might have already been taken away by others.

“Oh no, I need to hurry back. There are still quite a few things at home; how big is that hole?”

Upon hearing about the big hole, Reina immediately became anxious. After all, it was a house built brick by brick with her husband, and the furniture inside was something they had worked hard to earn.

“About this big.”

Yake raised his hand to indicate the size of the hole.

“This big! Oh my gosh, how much will it cost to fix that?”

“Mom, is money really the issue? Don’t forget, thanks to Aier, my brother is a rich man now. Plus, even if there’s a big hole, Aier can definitely use magic to patch it up.”

Xier quietly reminded Reina that money wasn’t a problem for them anymore. With the Little Princess in their family, even if the house had a big hole, it wouldn’t matter—after all, they could fix it or even replace the whole house!
