Chapter 062 Dekan’s Underworld Card Deck
Inside the Phantom Canyon.
A desolate small island was eerily calm, with no sign of wind or waves disturbing it.
But this apparent calm serenity was soon broken with the arrival of two figures.

[“Normally, simulated duels are not life-threatening.”]

Dekan praised as he glanced at the prompt.

He also donned a strange, full-body armor-like outfit.
He didn’t rush to summon the [Ruined Bard].
After all, Flata was a ranged fighter, and the Ruined Bard could easily be taken down by magical attacks from afar.
In the distance, Dekan noticed Flata pulling out a fifth-tier staff and a few lower-tier functional accessories during the preparation phase.
Flata met Dekan’s gaze and smirked cruelly.
“Get ready to be thoroughly outclassed. Consider this a lesson.”
Flata scoffed.
Soon after, three cards glowing with a crystalline purple light appeared in his hand, summoning three fifth-tier creatures!
Three magnificent undead armor constructs now stood beside Flata.
Their black heavy armor exuded a chilling coldness, and their large swords created a thunderous crash when they touched the ground.
If not for the flame-like cyan pupils, it might have been difficult to confirm that these were summoned creatures.
“Isn’t Flata taking this too far?”
Someone in the audience couldn’t help but comment.
“This guy really has deep pockets. To deal with Dekan, he actually went out of his way to get three countermeasure cards.”

As non-living undead creatures, they cannot perceive pain.
Even if they were used to forcibly attack Dekan, they wouldn’t lose their combat capability due to Dekan’s feedback pain.
Moreover, the Undead Armor had extremely high defense and endurance.
Even if Dekan used the strongest third-tier spell card, he wouldn’t be able to break it.

Watching as the three Undead Armors approached him, Dekan sighed.
As long as there were three monsters on the opponent’s side, Dekan felt an itch to make those monsters sacrifices for the gods.
Unfortunately, Dekan wasn’t yet capable of creating cards at that level.
However, he had anticipated that Flata would use high-tier targeted summonings to overwhelm him.
He had his own countermeasures.
Dekan took out three equipment cards and flicked them out.
Instantly, three beams of pitch black light attached themselves to the [Undead Armor].
A sinister, shadowy mask appeared on the armor of each creature.
Flata’s heart tightened. He quickly used his identification skills to determine the effect of Dekan’s card.

Relieved after seeing the effect, Flata felt reassured.
He had originally worried that it was one of those unreasonable control cards!
Generally speaking, it’s very hard for second-tier equipment to control fifth-tier summoned creatures.
Unless the quality is extremely high and the conditions are strict, there’s rarely a situation where a low-tier equipment card would control a higher-tier summoning completely.
But these were just three meaningless junk cards.

Just as Flata was about to mock Dekan, Dekan activated another spell card.

But luckily, as long as the three undead reached Dekan,
One hit would be enough to take him out!
However, just as he thought that, he saw Dekan smirk at him from across.
It was a beaming, friendly smile that seemed to carry no hostility.

Flata felt a chill crawl up his spine, and his gaze became uneasy.
When the three [Undead Armors] were about to strike Dekan, Dekan predictably revealed another spell card.
Frost began to gather, and Dekan’s body was instantly encased in ice!
He looked like a doll frozen inside a crystal gem!
