No joke, this is actually a pretty good strategy in my opinion.
Of course, this is just my personal take.
First off, dragging things out here would be extremely disadvantageous for Humanity.
If you don’t believe me, go back and check the archives from when Humanity started their revolution—it’s easy to forget, but NPCs like factions have far superior troop replenishment capabilities compared to us players.
In about a week, they could easily field another ten million units.
So if Obsidian Fleet ties up Typhon’s group and Justice drains their strength while moving leisurely forward…
Humanity will end up exhausting themselves dealing with endless waves of Monsters.
Moreover, if Humanity and Magellan overextend themselves fighting Justice and the Monsters…
There’s a 100% chance Loki Clan will attack from all sides.
Even if Loki Clan doesn’t move, remember there are already quite a few large clans in the Central Zone.
Sure, Attila Clan, the largest single clan, got taken down by Icarus…
But plenty of other clans remain in the center.

By the time Humanity-Magellan’s combined forces arrived, having expended much of their fleet during the journey and recently detaching a third of their remaining strength to deal with Arkadia’s pursuit force, their assault force had dwindled to about 2 million ships. Faced with overwhelming odds, they began to realize the true nature of faction-level warfare, reacting with a mixture of frustration and resignation.
