Chapter 655

Chapter 655. In this situation, we’re heading to the nest. (2)

Of course, when news spread that Humanity’s 4-million-strong assault force had broken through the front lines and was proceeding with an all-out charge towards the Monster main base, both the gallery and chat windows were filled with reactions of intense excitement at Humanity’s ruthless and powerful advance.

“Full-speed charge toward the Monster main base (4 million)”

It sounds fake, but it’s really happening.

Comments:

[Why is this happening?]

[With 4 million ships, seriously, are 50,000 people doing this kind of full-speed charge?]

[Yeah]

[Amazing;;]

[Wow, there are actually people who put such audacious ideas into practice.]

However, even with this sensational and seemingly reckless strategy, users couldn’t help but think, “Surely Humanity wouldn’t really use such a mindless plan, right?” This was a baseless meme among the community.

Regardless of such beliefs, many wondered why they weren’t taking advantage of their favorable situation more strategically—why were they pushing so recklessly?

By the time Humanity’s assault force broke through dozens of temporary defense lines and reached the final barrier guarding the Monster main base—the ‘Nest,’ which was protected by the Level 9 Base ‘Babel’ and its nearly 3 million-strong base defense fleet and seven fortress main guns—users on the gallery started posting theories about why Humanity was acting this way.

Title: Humanity’s strategy seems decent enough, doesn’t it?

Just saying, if I’m wrong, then you’re right, no hard feelings.

No joke, this is actually a pretty good strategy in my opinion.

Of course, this is just my personal take.

First off, dragging things out here would be extremely disadvantageous for Humanity.

If you don’t believe me, go back and check the archives from when Humanity started their revolution—it’s easy to forget, but NPCs like factions have far superior troop replenishment capabilities compared to us players.

In about a week, they could easily field another ten million units.

So if Obsidian Fleet ties up Typhon’s group and Justice drains their strength while moving leisurely forward…

Humanity will end up exhausting themselves dealing with endless waves of Monsters.

Moreover, if Humanity and Magellan overextend themselves fighting Justice and the Monsters…

There’s a 100% chance Loki Clan will attack from all sides.

Even if Loki Clan doesn’t move, remember there are already quite a few large clans in the Central Zone.

Sure, Attila Clan, the largest single clan, got taken down by Icarus…

But plenty of other clans remain in the center.

[Ah, it’s because of rear concerns.]

[Now that you mention it, that makes sense.]

[In short, Humanity and Magellan had no choice but to push forward quickly from the start.]

[Unfortunately, the Monsters interfered too early, messing up the schedule.]

[Yes, exactly.]

Meanwhile, as most users were shouting, “Ohhh, now I get it!” after reading these analysis posts, what were our superstar joint assault teams of Humanity and Magellan actually doing?

-BOOM!!!

-PUUUUUM!

-GROOOOOG…GROOOOG!

-KRAAAAACK!

After barely breaking through Babel’s defenses, which consisted of seven fortress main guns and a fleet of 3 million ships that dwarfed even Icarus’ Daedalus, the following occurred:

[Justice forces approaching from behind.]

[Huh?]

[What the hell?!]

[Clan Leader, Justice pursuit forces are closing in on us.]

[Fck, that’s Laura’s group.]

[Didn’t we tell someone to hold them off?] (Antares)

[Laura must have calculated that losing some rear strength was worth catching up to us.]

[What do we do?]

[Shit, my gacha ships are gonna explode.]

[Yeah.]

When Laura, an officer of Justice Clan, successfully led elite members to pursue and intercept the assault force, Humanity quickly threw one-third of their forces to defend against her while continuing their charge toward the Nest.

The problem arose just as they crossed Babel and entered the Nest’s territory, shouting, “We can see the end!”

Global Event:

‘Space Monster’ Reinforcement Request!

Details:

The Queen of Monsters from the Space Monster faction’s main base, the ‘Nest,’ has requested reinforcements from all allied Space Monster commanders!

Some of the commanders responding to this request have already arrived at the ‘Nest’ with hastily assembled fleets!

Result:

A portion of the fleets commanded by responding Space Monster leaders will warp directly to the ‘Nest.’

This warp does not count as an emergency warp for the involved commanders.

Those who do not arrive immediately will be excluded from the emergency warp to the Nest.

[What the hell? There are fleets here that aren’t part of the defense force.]

[???]

[Wait, is that message real?]

[Holy sh*t, they’re defending us until the very last moment.]

[This is the power of factions.]

The direct subordinate fleet of approximately 1 million ships guarding the final line of defense around the Nest, along with Princess Luka and her personal fleet, were joined by roughly 700,000 ships from around 10,000 user-commanders answering the support call from the Monster Faction.

By the time Humanity-Magellan’s combined forces arrived, having expended much of their fleet during the journey and recently detaching a third of their remaining strength to deal with Arkadia’s pursuit force, their assault force had dwindled to about 2 million ships. Faced with overwhelming odds, they began to realize the true nature of faction-level warfare, reacting with a mixture of frustration and resignation.
