Chapter 7: Don’t Tell Me You Don’t Even Know Where Your Hometown Is!

Chapter 7: Don’t Tell Me You Don’t Even Know Where Your Hometown Is!

“With this Teleportation Crystal, we can save tons of time instantly transporting to faraway places!”

“Here, the Magic Power contained in the crystal should be enough for five uses. That should be more than enough, right? Just don’t waste it!”

Gaia handed over his prized Teleportation Crystal, a fortified version of the City Lord’s. It could be used five times, and unlike the one-time-use kind from the City Lord, it could be recharged by replenishing its Magic Power.

“Oh, it can be used five times? It looks pretty good! Yake, this one can even be recharged!”

“Yes, so please take care of it! If you break it, we’re toast.”

Regardless of the effects, a crystal is still a crystal; once shattered, it loses its magical properties.

“I know that! No need to lecture me. Let’s hurry up and pack our bags. We need to catch up with Weirafiya and the others who’ve already started packing.”

“Alright, alright, just don’t shove me! You’re so impatient!”

With Aierjisi pushing him along, Yake had no choice but to leave and head to his room to pack.

“What were you two doing? Why are you back now?”

As soon as they entered the room, they saw Carl sitting on their bed, clearly having been waiting for their return.

“Nothing much. Gaia just had a few things to tell us about what Ailin wanted to discuss. But that can wait. Father King, you should pack too; we’re getting ready to go back to Moon God Palace.”

“Back to Moon God Palace? Right now?”

“Yes! Hurry up and pack! I haven’t been back in ages; I want to see what the Moon God Palace looks like now.”

“Alright then. Let’s go back and take a look.”

Though he said that, Carl didn’t move at all.

“Father King, what are you standing around for? Are you not going to pack?”

“Even if you say that, I have nothing to pack. You haven’t forgotten, have you? I was just rescued from their prisoner camp! There’s nothing I own.”

Indeed, Carl was left with nothing but his daughter and his skills. Even the clothes he was wearing were given to him by others.

“Fine then. Can you step outside for a moment? We need to pack our bags.”

“Alright. I’ll wait for you outside. Once you finish packing, just call for me, okay?”

Carl stepped out and closed the door, waiting for the two of them.

“Phew, he’s finally gone. Yake, let’s hurry and pack! Once we’re done, we’re off to the Moon God Palace!”

“I know, you don’t need to repeat yourself.”

Yake opened the cabinet and tossed all his belongings from the past few days into Subspace. Aierjisi, on the other hand, was lounging on the bed, waiting for him to finish.

As for why she wasn’t packing?

The answer is simple: isn’t that what servants are for? So, let Yake do it all by himself! She didn’t need to waste her energy on such tasks.

About half an hour later, Yake finally finished packing.

“Alright, Aier, everything’s packed! We can get ready to leave.”

“Oh. It’s been half an hour already, and you just finished? Your speed is really something!”

“Hey, it’s not my fault! There were just too many things crammed in that cabinet, especially your clothes. You have so many outfits, and I painstakingly categorized them all before tossing them into Subspace!”

The reason it took so long was indeed because Aierjisi had a mountain of clothes, most of which were thrown haphazardly together. Sorting through them gave Yake quite the headache.

“Is that so? I’m sorry; I’ve misunderstood you. Let me pat your head as a reward!”

“No way! I’m not your pet. Why would I let you pat my head? Let’s hurry up! Isn’t your Father King waiting outside?”

“Let him wait a bit longer. I’m tired and need a nap first. Good night.”

Hardly had she finished speaking when Aierjisi closed her eyes and turned over on the bed, ready to sleep.

“Hey? Hey! You can’t do that! How can you just fall asleep now? I finally finished packing! If you wanted to sleep, you should have said so earlier instead of making me do all the packing! Get up, come on!”

Seeing the Little Princess looking like she was genuinely about to drift off, Yake panicked and leaped onto the bed, dragging Aierjisi off the mattress.

“Are you two ready yet? Let’s get moving, okay?”

Hearing the door open, Carl thought they were all packed and ready to go, but when he turned, he realized something was off.

“What’s going on here?”

He saw his daughter lying on the floor, her legs caught in Yake’s grip as he dragged her out.

“Ugh, don’t even ask! I was busy packing, and she was just lounging on the bed resting. Once I packed everything, I planned to take her along, but she wanted to sleep a little longer, so I had to drag her out.”

“Is that so? But you can’t treat my daughter like that! Can’t you carry her or something?”

“I would love to, but given the situation, dragging her out seems the best option. Oh, and here’s the Teleportation Crystal.”

Yake tossed the Teleportation Crystal he got from the City Lord to Carl.

“What do you need this Teleportation Crystal for?”

“Of course, to go back! I don’t know the location of Moon God Palace. You should know, right?”

To use the teleportation, they needed to set the destination coordinates. But since Yake had no clue where Moon God Palace was, he had to rely on Carl.

As for Aierjisi? She was still sprawled on the floor, sound asleep. Who knew when she’d wake up to help them teleport.

“Well… I’m sorry, but I don’t know the location of Moon God Palace either.”

“Ah?”

Carl’s words left Yake dumbfounded. Wait, isn’t that their hometown? How do they not even know where it is?
