Chapter 70: It’s Common Sense to Hit a Giant on the Nape!

Chapter 70: It’s Common Sense to Hit a Giant on the Nape!

“What on earth is going on…”

Staring at the chaotic scene before him, Yake was dumbfounded. The City Lord was fighting evenly with A Jie, and Silver was single-handedly taking on the Cyclops.

So what am I even here for…?

“Mr. Yake! Are you done over there?”

Silver glanced at Yake, who was dazed in the corner while she was in the heat of battle.

“Yes! We’ve dealt with the Leopard and the Bird, and now it’s just the Giant and that Thief left. Miss Silver, let me help you take down this Giant!”

“No need! I can handle this guy myself. You should hurry and help the City Lord; he’s fighting the enemy’s leader!”

“Got it! City Lord! Hold on! I’m coming to help you!”

Following Silver’s direction, Yake hurried over to the City Lord, ready to lend a hand.

“No need! Just watch from there. I’m having a great time for the first time fighting like this.”

Unlike Silver’s situation, the City Lord clearly wasn’t using his full power, constantly dodging A Jie’s attacks, playing with him, and making him waste energy.

“Come on, young man. Put in some effort! Haven’t you eaten? Throwing punches with no strength and still calling yourself a Thief?”

Initially, the City Lord planned to continue dodging attacks to toy with A Jie until he realized A Jie’s blows were weak and couldn’t penetrate his armor at all. So he stopped dodging and simply stood with his hands behind his back, letting A Jie keep hitting him.

【I’m just standing here letting you hit me, and you can’t even touch me.】

The City Lord’s behavior was undoubtedly a mockery of A Jie’s pitiful strength. This drove A Jie mad, and he tried to hit the City Lord even harder.

“Ugh, this feels nice. This full-body massage isn’t too bad! Say, how about you consider being my personal masseur? I’ll pay you five Gold Coins a month, how about it?”

“Die, you bastard!”

The City Lord’s words only fueled A Jie’s anger. In the end, he lost all rationality and attacked the City Lord like a crazed beast.

Though it was futile; he couldn’t break the City Lord’s armor no matter what he did.

As for Yake… seeing that neither side needed him, he just grabbed a small stool, sat down in the street, and munched on a bucket of popcorn while watching the thrilling battle.

“Sorry I’m late! Huh? Yake, why are you just sitting here eating popcorn instead of helping out?”

Aierjisi had just solved her own problem of nausea and came over to help. But upon arrival, she spotted Yake sitting there enjoying the show.

“Oh, Aier, you made it! Perfect timing—let’s eat together.”

Yake offered his bucket of popcorn to Aierjisi, inviting her to sit next to him.

“Oh, I won’t pass up this offer. Wait! Shouldn’t we be helping right now? What are we doing here eating popcorn?”

At first, Aierjisi didn’t register, preparing to grab some popcorn. But then it hit her that this wasn’t the time to be snacking!

“I want to help too! But neither Silver nor the City Lord needs me right now. So here I am, stuck eating popcorn.”

Yake pointed at the two battlefields. Whether it was Silver or the City Lord, they both handled their enemies with ease and didn’t need Yake’s half-hearted assistance.

“I see! Silver! City Lord! Do you need my help?”

Aierjisi shouted out to both of them, asking if they wanted her assistance.

“No need, I’m wrapping up here! You should go help over there instead.”

Almost simultaneously, Silver and the City Lord replied with the same words.

“Well, if that’s the case, I’ll just sit down and enjoy some popcorn. By the way, where did you get this popcorn?”

Aierjisi plopped down on Yake’s lap and grabbed a handful of popcorn to munch on.

“Just from that shop over there. Look, they have plenty more!”

Yake pointed at a nearby store where several batches of popcorn were still on display.

“Okay! Let’s eat popcorn while watching the fight!”

Aierjisi snapped her fingers, using her magic to pull the popcorn over. She sat next to Yake, munching away as they watched the City Lord and Silver duke it out.

Silver’s situation was a bit trickier than the City Lord’s; while she could hold her own against the Cyclops, the giant’s combat power was the highest among the three Magical Beasts. Defeating him wasn’t going to be easy.

With a flame-wreathed sword as her weapon, Silver could deal some physical damage to the Giant, along with fire-based magical damage. However, the Giant’s skin seemed as tough as the Leopard’s, making it quite hard to inflict any harm.

“How about this? Chain Flames!”

Silver raised her left hand and unleashed several fireballs in rapid succession to bombard the Giant.

“Still nothing? This guy’s skin is way too hard!”

As the smoke cleared, the Giant stood there untouched. Silver squinted, carefully examining him.

No creature is without a weakness; this world has no perfect beings.

Similarly, even this Giant must have a fatal weakness somewhere on him. What Silver needed to do was find it and deliver a decisive blow!

The Giant roared angrily, swinging his iron fists at Silver, trying to crush her. However, due to his massive frame, he moved unusually slowly. Silver could easily predict his next moves by observing his limbs, dodging his attacks.

【What should I do? Where is this guy’s weakness?】

Continuing to evade, Silver knew it was only a matter of time before she would fail. While dodging, she kept observing the Giant’s body for any signs of weakness.

【Hmm, what’s that?】

While dodging an attack, Silver noticed a crack appear on the Giant’s skin, capturing her attention.

If she could continuously attack that spot, perhaps she could create a similar crack and break through his steel-like defenses to deal real damage!

But the question was, where should she focus her continuous assaults? This decision needed to be made carefully.

Speaking of which, wasn’t the Giant’s weakness the nape? Didn’t the City Lord mention that before?
