Thus, these metal boxes couldn’t be hidden.
But Darke chose a hat that could change its color based on the special colors inside, matching the metal boxes.
If the boxes turned red, the hat turned red; if green, the hat turned green.
This way, Wit could wear the hat in winter, staying warm while hiding the boxes, avoiding strange looks.
Preparing such a hat required great effort.
