Chapter 75. I Went There on Purpose
In Han Fairy’s residence, the hall.
“I have made it clear multiple times: the spiritual spring is abundant, the spiritual crystals are plentiful, and during the soaking process, you must not use your spiritual techniques! Yet here you are, knowingly breaking the rules! Now the spiritual spring has exploded! Thankfully, it didn’t disturb the elders inside, or we would all be held accountable! You are all outstanding disciples of the sect; such a low-level mistake should not occur among you!”
Han Fairy sat in the main seat, furiously lecturing her three disciples. It was late at night, and she was talking with Liu Shuqin when suddenly the place shook, spiritual energy surged, and she immediately sensed something was wrong. Rushing to the spiritual spring, she discovered it had been destroyed.
Fortunately, the residence was protected by defensive formations and mysterious stones, preventing a collapse or major ruckus.
Rebuilding the spiritual spring is no simple matter; many of the crystals are extremely rare, and a spiritual energy-rich environment is required, along with the placement of multiple滩灵草 (Tang Ling Grass) to maintain it, and now that grass is gone as well.
Liu Shuqin stood beside Han Fairy, feeling powerless regarding the mistakes of her junior brothers and sisters.
Han Fairy was fuming; she had specifically created the spiritual spring for her disciples to soak in and nourish their bodies, enriching their spiritual energy. Besides, each one of them was a highly promising disciple of the Xuanyun Sect, so how could such a thing happen?
Su Kexin and Qin Shili hung their heads, but Lin Nuo appeared completely unconcerned, with no shame whatsoever.
Han Fairy turned her gaze to Lin Nuo: “Lin Nuo, what is the reason for this?”
“I don’t know; you should ask them,” Lin Nuo shrugged. It wasn’t his fault he was just minding his own business enjoying the spiritual bath when the spring blew up. Thankfully, those two girls had strong defenses and saved him, or he’d be in bed right now, the real victim here!
“Shili, what happened?”
Han Fairy shifted her focus to Qin Shili, who looked up slightly and replied, “I was bathing with my junior brother, and then my junior sister came to cause trouble, which led to a quarrel and ultimately to the explosion of the spring.”
“You were bathing with Lin Nuo?!”
Han Fairy was both shocked and furious. It was common knowledge that Lin Nuo had pursued Qin Shili before, but who would have thought he would do something so outlandish as to peek while she was bathing!
She turned back to Lin Nuo and said, “Lin Nuo, let’s speak frankly: everyone knows you are pursuing Shili, and that as a passionate young man, it’s natural to yearn for a love interest. However, I must advise you that a gentleman’s love must be honorable; what you did is inappropriate, especially going to the spiritual spring while Shili was bathing. It tarnishes your reputation.”
Lin Nuo: ???
What the heck are you talking about? I’m just a quiet, handsome villain here enjoying my bath!
“It was me,” Qin Shili interjected. “I went there on purpose while my junior brother was bathing.”
“You???”
Han Fairy thought she must be hearing things. Logically, this shouldn’t be happening. Qin Shili was proud and aloof, always acting independently, and had previously ignored Lin Nuo’s good intentions. There was no way she’d just walk in on him while he was bathing.
“Is there some misunderstanding? You didn’t know Lin Nuo was bathing, so you accidentally stumbled in?”
“No, I knew he was in there, which is why I went!” Qin Shili replied directly.
“This…”
Han Fairy was left utterly dumbfounded, unable to process what she had just heard.
How could it be? Qin Shili wouldn’t go to Lin Nuo while he was bathing for any reason—this was completely nonsensical!
What on earth was happening? Why would the ice beauty of the masses, Qin Shili, act so out of character towards someone she had previously ignored?
“Why?” Han Fairy continued to ask.
“I want to understand him.”
“Understand him? Why the sudden interest?”
“Sorry, I can’t say.”
“Even if you want to know him, there’s no need to do it while he’s bathing…”
“It’s very necessary.”
Qin Shili firmly replied with those four words.
Han Fairy had no idea what kind of confusion Qin Shili was experiencing; surely something earth-shattering had occurred to make her act so shockingly.
Forget it; I won’t get any answers now; let’s ask the youngest disciple.
“Kexin, what about you?”
“I…”
Su Kexin hesitated, embarrassed to speak of such an awkward incident.
However, remembering how Qin Shili had boldly admitted her intentions, she couldn’t fall behind.
“Master, I knew my senior brother was bathing, so I went there on purpose, but I didn’t expect Second Martial Sister to be there too.”
“So you three bathed together?”
“Yes.”
At this moment, both Qin Shili and Su Kexin nodded in agreement.
“…”
Han Fairy was once again dumbstruck. Her three disciples, along with the Second and Fourth disciples, bathing together? The situation was far beyond her imagination.
What twisted and complicated relationship did they have? Why were these two disciples suddenly paying attention to Lin Nuo?
What in the world had happened?
She didn’t understand; she probably hadn’t paid enough attention to him before.
At least her eldest disciple, Liu Shuqin, hadn’t done anything out of line.
But now, Liu Shuqin appeared calm on the surface, while inside, she felt anything but good.
