Chapter 77

Chapter 77: The Sea Dragon.

Several stone columns with large boulders on them stood by the coastline, and they didn’t look naturally formed.

Could there be a monster that likes stacking stones on pillars?

But these stone columns from high to low were perfect for young dragons to practice gliding.

Jie Jie named this training “Young Dragons Charge Forward”!

The fire dragons glided from the highest shore towards the stone columns, briefly pausing before continuing their glide to the next column.

Jie Jie transformed into a Lamp Fish Dragon and stayed in the water, ready to rescue any young dragon that fell during their practice.

In terms of flight training, the fire dragons had already fallen behind other dragons their age. However, they hadn’t forgotten the feeling of flying shortly after birth thanks to Jie Jie’s guidance.

They all performed well at first, except Porcelain Bowl, who attempted to skip a stone column and ended up crashing into it, falling into the water.

Jie Jie supported it with his body as they watched the performances of its siblings.

Perhaps because of living a more fulfilling life with him, the fire dragons he raised had shed the restlessness common among flying dragons and became relatively calm.

After the fire dragons finished their round, Jie Jie carried Porcelain Bowl back to the shore and gently knocked it with a Lamp Sphere to encourage it.

From morning until noon, after practicing, he stopped them and began looking for food.

While they stayed put, Jie Jie flew in the air in his newly unlocked form.

He saw a group of herbivore dragons being chased by a family of thief dragons.

Just as he was about to descend from the sky to drive away the Great Thief Dragon, an unexpected change occurred.

A flat-headed monster emerged from the sea, spotting the large herd of herbivore dragons and leaping heavily out of the water.

The monster, resembling a scaly snake, blocked the escape route of the herbivore dragons with its long body and roared at the thief dragon family.

An unexpected interruption made Jie Jie pause his descent, his eyes gleaming as he observed this intruding monster.

Its head was adorned with small dragon horns, and on either side were crown-like structures like those of a cobra. Its face structure resembled that of a crocodile, with sharp fangs fitting perfectly together.

Its long body was covered with a green-blue shell on its back, while its abdomen was milky white. It had four limbs, but its hind legs had regressed into fin-like structures, while its front claws retained sharp four fingers.

This was a standard-looking Sea Dragon, a monster known as the ruler of the ocean.

In aquatic battles, both the Lamp Fish Dragon and Water Dragon could only look up to it, especially since it possessed the advantageous ability to discharge electricity underwater.

Now encountering a Sea Dragon on land, it had to be quickly dealt with; there couldn’t be any opportunity for it to return to the sea.

The Night Bird silently ascended into the sky, watching the Sea Dragon scare off the thief dragon family and stay to feed on the captured herbivore dragons.

Like the mantis catching the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.

He circled around to the back of the Sea Dragon and began a high-speed dive from the sky.

During the dive, the feathers of the Night Bird gradually fell off, and its short beak elongated, taking over its entire face.

The wing membrane expanded beyond the usual size of the Night Bird.

Black Wolf Bird, ultimate strike dive!

The sharp howl of the wind finally reached the Sea Dragon, but it didn’t matter; it simply couldn’t react in time.

Although the Sea Dragon had four limbs, its movement on land was even worse than that of a Water Dragon.

A Water Dragon could still walk on two legs, but the Sea Dragon could only slide on land with its long body.

“Sigh!”

The sharp beak of the Black Wolf Bird powerfully pierced through the Sea Dragon’s back armor, deeply embedding itself.

“AHHHHH!!!”

The Sea Dragon’s painful roar echoed through the sky, with no relief due to the hollow nature of the back armor.

Its muscles contracted and convulsed under intense pain.

Terrifying currents generated from activated electric cells gathered towards the back electric shell.

Because the back shell was pierced and damaged, terrifying currents flowed towards the still-embedded beak of the Black Wolf Bird.

And the current within the back electric shell itself.

But alas, the beak of the Black Wolf Bird was insulated, as was its hard shell all over its body.

The powerful current could only cause minor harm through explosions and higher temperatures to Jie Jie.

The extremely long-bodied Sea Dragon continued to twist, but its poorly angled front limbs couldn’t reach the Black Wolf Bird behind it, nor could it bite it. Finally, it rolled on the ground.

This made Jie Jie very awkward, making it extremely difficult to pull his head out of the Sea Dragon’s back.

Reverting to Night Bird would shorten the beak and make it easier to remove, but the Night Bird clearly lacked lightning resistance.

He could only maintain the form of the Black Wolf Bird and endure being tossed around as the Sea Dragon rolled.

Hard shell, no problem.

When the Sea Dragon calmed down for a moment, he finally pulled the beak out.

At this point, half of the Sea Dragon’s body had already rolled down the coast, about to return to the sea.

By then, capturing it would be difficult, and Jie Jie wouldn’t let this chance slip.

The Hōng Lóng form shattered, but the Savage Jaw Dragon remained the best power-type monster Jie Jie could transform into!

The Savage Jaw Dragon jumped forcefully beside the Sea Dragon’s tail, ferociously biting it and dragging it towards the land.

The Sea Dragon twisted its body, its front limbs that had already left the coast clinging desperately to the cliff edge, its eyes fixed tightly on the ocean where it lived.

If only it could reach that place!

But how could the Sea Dragon’s regressing front limbs resist the brute strength of the Savage Jaw Dragon? With reluctance, it turned its head.

It realized that to return to safety, it must repel the creature in front of it!

Because the back electric shell was damaged, it couldn’t accumulate lightning to unleash a powerful shock, but other techniques could still be used.

Large amounts of electrical charges dispersed into the air were adsorbed and captured by the saliva in the Sea Dragon’s mouth and then spat out.

The blue-lit electric ball flew toward the Savage Jaw Dragon pulling it.

The electric ball exploded, leaving a patch of charred marks on the Savage Jaw Dragon’s side.

The Savage Jaw Dragon wasn’t weak against lightning, and there even existed a subspecies called Thunder Jaw Dragon.

Jie Jie had also undergone reinforcement modifications brought by the Thunder Wolf Dragon Gemstone, enhancing his lightning resistance.

This bolt of lightning even activated the special current brought by the Thunder Wolf Dragon Gemstone modification.

The two different currents stimulated Jie Jie’s body together, allowing his muscles to burst forth with even greater strength.

Moreover, the Sea Dragon’s breath mixed with bodily fluids—wasn’t the fluid in its mouth saliva?

“You just spit on me, didn’t you!”

The eyes of the Savage Jaw Dragon, stimulated by the current and filled with anger, became bloodshot.

With a twist of his legs and neck, a terrifying force threw the Sea Dragon that no longer insisted on returning to the water, slamming it onto the ground.

The back membrane opened, and the heat accumulated in his body under high-intensity exertion was converted by the Flame Bag into a pillar of fire that struck the Sea Dragon’s body.

The Sea Dragon, which had just rolled up from the ground, was caught off guard, its shell charred black, and its body visibly shrinking.

Sea Dragons are weak against fire.

The Savage Jaw Dragon jumped high, spreading its wings in the air, transforming into the corresponding Lord of the Sky against the Ocean’s Overlord!
