Chapter 84: Crimson Flame One-Word Breath Slash.
With the energy inside the Sky Dog Beast fully replenished, what remained to be absorbed was intended to be entirely invested into the Male Fire Dragon’s totem as before.
But Jié Jié’s mind was once again haunted by the image of the Cāng Huǒ Lóng (Blue Fire Dragon).
What if he were to go and take down the Cāng Huǒ Lóng first, then channel the energy into it?
This thought was quite alluring, causing him to rise and temporarily halt the absorption.
However, prolonged activities in the Fire Dragon form had already consumed a significant portion of the previously absorbed energy. This idea meant putting the previous progress on hold.
Not necessarily so, for even in the Swift Dragon form, one could benefit from the Green Swift Dragon’s corrections. Who knows, perhaps the progress bar of battle-hardened individuals is also shared.
Casting the current advantage ensures greater advantages in the future.
“Roar!”
The fire dragons behind him seemed restless due to the dense Earth Pulse Energy.
He pulled them close, using his wings to embrace them while they all drew near to the Earth Pulse.
Individuals in their growth phase should more easily absorb energy.
Until the Male Fire Dragon’s totem was completely filled, this branch of the Earth Pulse that had been severed only dimmed slightly.
And the fire dragons were already hungry, scratching at his wings wanting to go out.
When they emerged from the deep tunnel and saw the daylight again, he felt a full-body relaxation.
Reopening his wings and transforming back into the Fire Dragon, he glanced back at the tunnel. Jié Jié walked another path, leading the fire dragons through the roots toward the forest inside the Ancient Tree.
“Roar!”
In roars and the proud spread of wings, the raw nature of might-makes-right was revealed to him.
No monster dared to challenge him.
Only at such times did territory seem like something not brought into life or taken away in death, with monsters resembling hardworking laborers just rushing about.
Hastily, they’d often call out “Let’s go, let’s go.”
The paths within the vertical forest were intricate, but as long as one kept climbing uphill, they would eventually reach the top.
The fire dragons hid among the hedges, not facing the azure king who now dominated the Ancient Tree’s canopy alongside Jié Jié.
Jié Jié spread his wings in a roar, only then realizing this Cāng Huǒ Lóng was merely a Cāng Huǒ Lóng.
More resilient wings, stronger breath weapons, superior stamina and burst power?
These were the advantages of the subspecies compared to the original species, yet still couldn’t bridge the gap with his unique individuality.
Jié Jié’s wings embraced the sky better than the Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s, and what he could embrace wasn’t merely the sky.
Forest, lakes, oceans, land.
The Male Fire Dragon pounced on the Cāng Huǒ Lóng, welcoming its look of disdain.
Whether original species or derivative individuals, fire dragons are always arrogant.
As a subspecies, the Cāng Huǒ Lóng looked down upon the Male Fire Dragon, and even in choosing mates, would only select fellow fire dragon subspecies like the Sakura Fire Dragon.
Had he come here from the Dragon Crystal Land, waiting for the next breeding season and his destined mate?
Jié Jié stared at the Cāng Huǒ Lóng, colliding with it mid-air, using his scale-covered shoulder plates to withstand its bite, focusing on disrupting its flight balance by flapping his wings.
The Cāng Huǒ Lóng lost due to its arrogance; when the fire dragon before it grew larger, it should have understood.
One red and one blue figure tangled in the air, with the blue one being pressed towards the ground.
“Roar!”
A more solid fireball than usual exploded on Jié Jié’s body, the residual flames dispersed by the wind pressure.
The Cāng Huǒ Lóng earned itself a brief moment to catch its breath, climbing higher again.
But just a brief moment.
While the Cāng Huǒ Lóng panted, Jié Jié took a deep breath.
The moves usable by the Old Continent Fire Dragon in the game overlapped with the memories of the battle-hardened Male Fire Dragon’s moves, which then merged with his own actions.
Though the fireball is divine, the flame bag of the fire dragon can produce more than just fireballs.
In the next instant, the descending pillar of fire followed the Male Fire Dragon’s head movement, rising like a sword, slashing upward towards the Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s chest.
Crimson Flame King Crimson Flame One-Word Breath Slash!
Jié Jié had never truly seen the Male Fire Dragon’s alias Black Flame King, this single word breath technique was inspired by the battle-hardened Male Fire Dragon and derived from the Savage Jaw Dragon’s fire column breath.
Though somewhat makeshift, it proved effective.
The quick head-shaking motion provided an opportunity to adjust during the attack, making it harder to predict and dodge.
Compared to the explosive fireball, the rolling pillar of fire lacked impact force, but when the line of sight and body were enveloped by the fire column, the stability of the monster’s movements would significantly decrease.
Simply put, it made it easier to cause stiffness.
Caught off guard, the Cāng Huǒ Lóng lost its balance, crashing heavily onto the ground.
But having long been in the high-temperature environment of the Dragon Crystal Land, its flame resistance was extremely high. It stood up instantly and flapped its wings anew.
This caused the aerial strike of the brigand general to miss, merely bumping into it without stepping on it.
No matter, the Blood-filled Mouth approached and bit firmly onto the Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s claw.
Steady as Mount Tai, the Savage Jaw Dragon ignored the wind pressure and toxins stirred by the wings, slamming the Cāng Huǒ Lóng onto the ground.
Releasing its mouth and lifting up, amidst the struggling flapping wings, it focused, then lunged forward to bite again, beginning to tear at the Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s wing.
The rising Cāng Huǒ Lóng rammed into the Savage Jaw Dragon’s abdomen with a Dragon Charge, attempting to bite, but was stopped by Jié Jié’s knee, lifted abruptly under its chin.
The falling foot kicked the Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s body, teeth tearing through the shell on the wing before letting go.
The disheveled Cāng Huǒ Lóng was sent flying, crashing into wooden walls and hedges.
The Savage Jaw Dragon jumped, heat generated from body movements retained in the flame bag, transformed into fireballs in the Male Fire Dragon’s mouth, shooting out and exploding on the Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s body.
Under the violent explosion, the charred wooden walls and hedges trembled, emitting mournful groans. Water accumulated in cracks seeped beneath the Cāng Huǒ Lóng.
Anticipating this, Jié Jié ascended higher, watching the cracks in the wooden wall widen under water pressure.
Reservoir breach!
Water surged forth, rushing over the Cāng Huǒ Lóng.
The just-risen Cāng Huǒ Lóng struggled, but its wings were pinned down by the water, finally being washed off the top of the Ancient Tree.
“Wow.”
Jié Jié exclaimed, flapping his wings away from the tree canopy, watching the Cāng Huǒ Lóng fall swept away by the water.
Finally, breaking through the forest, it crashed onto the ground.
This height appeared much greater than what was depicted in the game.
But when Jié Jié descended, the Cāng Huǒ Lóng he saw wasn’t exactly full of vitality, nor was it on its last legs.
The strong wings and the forest canopy cushioned part of the fall, visible injuries were few, but its demeanor resembled a drenched rat.
“Roar!”
The Cāng Huǒ Lóng’s roar could no longer manifest as substantial flames. Completely soaked, it coughed, shaking off branches and droplets with its wings.
The crooked wings gradually recovered as they flapped, the Cāng Huǒ Lóng maintained a lower flight altitude than Jié Jié, turning around and attempting to leave.
“Am I letting you go?”

When you see a mighty male fire dragon soaring through the sky, you can't confidently say it’s truly a fire dragon—because it might have been a rare silver fire dragon before you noticed it.
If you suspect it was a silver fire dragon, it could have been a spinosaurus even earlier.
When someone tells you it was once a spinosaurus, you still can’t be sure—because before others saw it, it might have been an elder extinction dragon.
You may feel certain it’s a flying dragon by now, yet you can't assert that either—because underground where you can't see, it might actually be an ancient mountain dragon.
So, what is it really?
In the beginning,
It was just a hairy spider.
