Chapter 9: Am I Dreaming?

Chapter 9: Am I Dreaming?

“How’s the preparation coming along?”

In the past half month, Gilbaris and the others weren’t just slacking off; this was their first time preparing for a large-scale war. Usually, it was just the leaders who would go out and tackle problems. Especially something like preparing ships for a siege.

“Everything is going according to plan. Don’t panic, Gilbaris. This isn’t like you.”

Diablo walked over and patted his shoulder, looking at the ships still under construction. This vessel was a masterpiece created by their entire clan working together. Once they boarded this ship to wage war, they were confident they could take the enemy down.

“I’m sorry, I’ve been a bit too eager lately. I’m just afraid that while we’re still preparing, Aierjisi and her crew might make a move.”

“They’ve actually been pretty quiet lately. But that king has been a nuisance. It seems he’s strengthened his defenses recently, making it tougher than before.”

They had sent scouts to check on the situation and confirmed that the enemy had bolstered their defenses, meaning they too had to ramp up their ship’s attack power.

“That king is whatever; no matter how much he strengthens his defense, it’s just human defenses, which aren’t really a problem for us. The real concern is those three girls. This operation is crucial for us, and we can’t afford to mess it up. So we need to be extra careful!”

Gilbaris didn’t even think twice about Gaia’s defenses. The only ones he cared about were those three girls. He just wondered if they had discovered any new powers in the meantime.

“Don’t worry. Don’t forget, you’re not alone; we’re right here with you.”

Titan also stepped up beside them, looking at the ship. Just as he said, this battle was definitely not just Gilbaris’s to fight alone; they would stand by him until the very last moment.

“Yeah. It’s my greatest honor to be part of your clan.”

“Hey, this sounds like farewell talk. We’re not going to die in this battle; we must succeed in bringing them all back. No problems, right, Gilbaris and Titan?”

Diablo extended his right hand, signaling for the other two to join in and stack their hands together.

“You’re right; we must return alive and bring them all back. Agreed?!”

“Definitely, we won’t mess up this time; we’ll return victorious!”

The three stacked their hands on top of each other, setting their pre-battle flag.

“Ah, the bond between men looks so great.”

Freya watched from a distance as the three stacked their hands. She considered whether to join in the fun but thought better of it; she didn’t quite fit into their group. Her involvement in this plan was merely for personal revenge, so she opted to refrain from interfering in their friendship.

“Alright. As leaders, we can’t just stand by, let’s go join their crew and help build this ship.”

“Good idea, I agree.”

“Me too.”

The three shared the same sentiment on this matter and headed off to join the crew working on the ship.

“Ah, Lord Gilbaris. Lord Diablo, Lord Titan, leave this little task to us; you don’t need to join in.”

“Stop fussing! As your leaders, how could we just watch? More hands mean more strength. Come on, don’t be shy—let us join your crew!”

And so, the three rolled up their sleeves and began working alongside the crew.

“Oh man, nothing’s better than a bath. After a whole day, this is the only thing that makes me feel comfortable.”

Yake lay on his bed after taking a bath. During this idle time, a relaxing wash was the only source of his happiness—unless that little princess was around to tempt him.

“Come on, Yake. Let me see if your growth is normal down there.”

Aierjisi was sprawled on top of Yake, her fingers dancing teasingly over his thigh, making him feel utterly miserable.

“Aier, how many times do I have to say it? Could you please get off me and not just climb up whenever you feel like it?”

“Why not? I’m your master! What’s wrong with a master lounging on their servant?”

“If you stayed still on my body, I wouldn’t complain. But you’re moving around way too much right now!”

“So what? You’re my servant; you’re my personal property. It’s perfectly fine for me to touch you!”

“I think that’s a problem, and a pretty big one. Can you please stop tempting me like this? You keep saying it’s too early while you’re over here trying your hardest to tempt me. What exactly are you planning to do?”

“Just teasing you! Your shy face is just too entertaining. Honestly, teasing you, the old virgin, is so much fun!”

“Then can you please stop teasing me, the old virgin? While you find it enjoyable, I certainly don’t.”

Yake lay on his bed in despair, staring at the little princess sprawled on him. Why did she only act this way around him? How unlucky could he be?

“I don’t care how you feel. I find teasing this old virgin enjoyable enough.”

“Well, since you put it that way, don’t blame me for being rude.”

“Oh? Rude? I really want to see what you mean by that.”

Hearing Yake’s bold declarations had Aierjisi intrigued; she was curious about what his so-called “rudeness” would entail.

“My rudeness is like this!”

Suddenly, Yake made a swift move, tossing Aierjisi onto the nearby bed, then flipped over to pin her down.

“You want to see if my growth is normal, right? Then today, I’ll show you—experience firsthand how very normal my growth is!”

With that, Yake sat up and began to unbuckle his belt, ready to give this oblivious little princess a serious lesson.

Boom!

Just as Yake was about to make his move, the entire Royal Palace shook violently. Yake lost his balance and fell, while Aierjisi, feeling the unusual tremor, scrambled up and rushed to the window to see what was going on outside.

“What the heck?!”

Gazing at the ship soaring through the sky, Aierjisi’s eyes widened in disbelief.

What? What’s going on? A ship is flying in the sky? Am I dreaming?
