Chapter 91

Chapter 91: The Fall of the Steel Dragon.

The storm swept up massive amounts of rain, drenching the coast of the lush lands.

The plains by the shore were flooded, but the apocalyptic scene had already driven all creatures away from the coast.

Except for a certain carefree guy who was still asleep.

Even though he chose to sleep on a mountain peak, Ji Jie couldn’t escape the overwhelming flood from above.

Would you let someone have a peaceful dragon nap or what?!

The roar of the angry Spiny Dragon was torn apart by the chaotic wind and pressed into the mud by the rain, unable to make any visible form.

A flood-like downpour woke Ji Jie up. Just as the Spiny Dragon’s morning anger was about to explode, it was suppressed again by the heavy rain, making the whole dragon extremely gloomy.

Looking at the lightning-filled water tornado and the two shadows vaguely illuminated by lightning within, Ji Jie’s morning anger seemed to vanish instantly, his gaze becoming clear.

Holy cow, ancient dragons fighting over territorial dominance.

Ji Jie immediately recognized the central figure in the storm as the Steel Dragon and Abyssal Wave Dragon, assessing the current situation.

But what could he do?

The storm was approaching, and the rain kept pouring on his head, blurring his vision.

The impression of ancient dragons being defeated in three hits and dying in six minutes in games couldn’t match the current spectacle.

Look at this magnificent storm, the sea-connecting tornadoes, and the lightning flashes within the storm.

This is the level ancient dragons should be at! If he fought them, he’d better wash up and go back to bed.

Ji Jie really intended to wash up and go back to sleep.

The Spiny Dragon twisted its body in the rain, as if taking a bath.

Nope.

Feeling the familiar rhythm of his body and the high heat output, he was somewhat bewildered.

Clearly, besides humming songs while bathing, one should also dance a bit.

It was an involuntary reaction, but he didn’t want to stop.

Just like lying in bed and not wanting to get up, or feeling too lazy to even move when slacking off.

With a little effort, he could stop the dance steps, turn around, and find a good spot to hide below the mountain.

But he just didn’t want to put in the effort to stop dancing.

He felt that he was already invincible against ordinary monsters, so why not challenge higher levels?

Like when he was a Thief Dragon, he dared to take on Scratcher Birds with his gang across ecological niches; now as a Spiny Dragon, why shouldn’t he dare?

The violent wind and rain couldn’t shake the Spiny Dragon’s determination. All this was just scary-looking but couldn’t blow him away or drown him.

Just looked scary.

Perhaps his evolution from Hairy Spider to Thief Dragon relied on scavenging, but his main theme of evolution depended on courage, wisdom, and a bit of strength.

The current Spiny Dragon form might be luck from dice rolls, but he could prove this wasn’t just luck on this stormy night!

He disliked scavenging, disliked trailing behind monsters to pick up materials, he preferred to include monsters as equal opponents, using his fangs and claws to tear every piece of material, letting that hot dragon blood flow down his throat!

And incidentally, eat until full.

The foreign souls no longer hindered the deep-seated desire guiding his dance steps; he merged with the dance in his madness.

If you want to sleep, sleep. If you want to slack off, don’t struggle. If you want to do something crazy, don’t hesitate.

Being free from societal constraints and doing whatever one pleases—this is—

A monster!

The Spiny Dragon’s veins expanded, the fine black patterns on his rain-soaked green shell lit up.

The paralyzing aura originating from the Terror Tyrant, akin to something from the abyss, rose from his mouth but didn’t extinguish the flame light accumulated in his Flame Bag.

Paralysis toxins, bleeding toxins, dragon breath, explosive liquid, and finally the flame that could illuminate the night sky—all these things were being stuffed into Ji Jie’s mouth.

The sound of the Flying Dragon Step Dance stomping on the ground seemed to break through the barriers of the storm and rain, resonating powerfully amidst the chaotic weather.

The battlefield in the storm was getting closer, a little more, just a little more!

The Steel Dragon had repelled the Abyssal Wave Dragon, but it didn’t matter, hitting one was still hitting!

The final stage of the Flying Dragon Step Dance aimed to thoroughly beat anyone disturbing his sleep!

The dim light of destruction flew out from the Spiny Dragon’s mouth, tearing through the obstructive wind and rain, heading towards the silhouette breathing towards a ship in the center of the storm.

A ship? What ship?

Breathing heavily, Ji Jie saw the double-masted sailing ship lifted by the waves and then blown by the storm, eventually flying straight toward him.

Passing by the destructive flames.

Bang bang!

Destruction planted itself into the storm like seeds into the soil, soon blossoming dark flowers.

The flowers swayed, and venomous drops like honey fell from the stamens, stirred into purple mist by the storm.

The flowers opened their Blood-filled Mouths, gases flashing between red and black sprayed out, spreading everywhere with the storm’s circulation.

Every gust in the center of the storm was controlled by the dark figure, flowing past his side and into his chest.

Toxin dripped from the edges of the rusted sculpture-like dragon’s mouth, the pink-rusted dragon dust swirling around him, gradually losing control over the storm.

Familiar? Not quite.

Because he hadn’t experienced it.

Strange? Not exactly.

Because ancient memories contained shame among his kind under such poison.

But how could the dragon winds dissipate so easily?

The turbulent dragon powder collided with the claw-tipped dragon light, shattering the toxin which rapidly dissipated under the thorough dragon winds.

However, his enemy wasn’t just the flying dragon on the distant mountain.

The underwater opponent had noticed the signs, capturing the toxic mist in the air with watery vapor and recharging it with the sea, colliding into his increasingly sluggish old body.

The storm roared uncontrollably, protesting.

But it was too late. The Water Ancient Dragon’s tentacle-like wings embraced him with toxins, piercing through the rusted outer shell and into the fragile new scales during the entanglement.

Ancient Dragon Du, the elder Steel Dragon individual, fell into the ocean, swallowed by the vortex beneath the sea.

The Water Ancient Dragon used water as a medium to pump toxins into the heavy, rusted body of the Steel Dragon.

Not a single breeze could traverse the sea to grace him anymore.

Not a single ray of light could shine upon his life.

Within the crystalline wrapping, countless shimmering lights trembled along with the quivering light cocoon, yet they couldn’t give the doomed old Steel Dragon another chance to fight.

As the light settled and the earth veins trembled, the elegant Earth Vein Spirit sleeping in the golden lava turned over gently.

But none of this mattered to Ji Jie for the moment. He braced himself as the giant double-masted sailboat crashed sideways into him, barely able to move after the explosive breath recoil.

He only managed to stabilize himself and let out a roar filled with greetings.

“Boom!”

The unshakable heart of the Spiny Dragon finally wavered, and Ji Jie was directly knocked off the cliff.

But the investigation team’s ship didn’t fare much better, colliding with both twin peaks. Near the center of the sailboat, it also hit the Spiny Dragon’s horn.

The Starship was split in half and stranded on the twin peaks.

“The good news is, we, and our ship, are not shattered into pieces!”

The blond Team Leader pushed aside the broken rudder that had fallen on him, raised his fist shouting, and tore his Commander off the railing.
