Chapter 91 – Chapter 79 – Curse Conception
“Hello? Yui? Are you at home tomorrow? Or do you have any other plans?”
On the couch, Yukinoshita Yukino called Yui Yuigahama to ask if she was free the next day. Beside her sat two big dogs, one black and one white.
“Yukino-kun? Ah, well, I think I’ll be at home.” Yui answered the call nervously after seeing Yukino’s number on her phone.
“That’s good. It’s your birthday tomorrow, right? Hachiman and I plan to come over and celebrate with you. Is it okay for us to come?”
“Eh!?” Yui was stunned for a moment before she exclaimed in surprise, “Yukino and… Hachiman are coming to my house!?”
“Mmm, does that inconvenience you?” asked Yukino.
“Well…” After a long hesitation, Yui spoke again, “I understand. Then I will wait for you here.”
“Alright, we should arrive by five o’clock tomorrow afternoon.”
After hanging up the phone, Yukino breathed a sigh of relief as she looked at the address Yui had messaged.
She had thought about the possibility of being rejected, which would only allow her to give the gifts at school on Monday, but missing Yui’s birthday would diminish the gift’s significance.
Luckily, Yui did not refuse.
Yukino had bought all the materials needed to make a cake and planned to bake one for Yui herself tomorrow.
The next afternoon, Yukinoshita Yukino carried the gifts and cake for Yui, meeting Hachiman Hikigaya at the station first. Together they headed to Yui’s house.
Half an hour later, they stood in front of Yui’s door.
“You’re tense?” Yukinoshita glanced at Hachiman beside her.
“I should be! This is the first time I’m visiting a girl’s house!” Hachi muttered, holding a gift bag containing his present for Yui. “Give me some time to compose myself…”
But Yukino ignored him and rang the doorbell despite Hachi’s rigid expression.

“总之，先进来吧！”Yui很快恢复笑容，打开了整个家门，欢迎他们进门，“拖鞋在这里。”
在进门后的玄关处，她们换上了提供的客人拖鞋。
Yukino和Hachiman进入客厅后，看到了一位与Yui长得很相似的年轻妇女——Yui的母亲。她微笑道：“欢迎你们到我家来玩，结衣经常和我说她在俱乐部里的两个朋友的事。”
“妈妈！”Yui羞红了脸。
“阿姨好。”
“阿姨好，请多多包涵。”不像Hachigan那样随意，Yukino礼貌地微微鞠躬。
“啊啦，不用这么客气，快请进来。”年轻的母亲笑着抚着脸颊说道。
这时，一只腊肠狗欢快地从客厅中跑出来，跳进了Hachiman怀里。
Yukino无动于衷，在经过昨晚的抗敏训练后，她已经不像以前那样害怕狗了，也开始欣赏这种欢乐宠物的可爱。
“看起来Sabre很喜欢你呢。”Yui的母亲笑道。
抚摸狗头，Hachiman脸上的笑容也变得自然了许多：“大概我很受小动物喜欢吧。”
当然，这是一个谎话。
他家那只肥猫并不欢迎他。
来到客厅后，还没等Yui的母亲问起她的女儿在学校的事，她们就被Yui拉到了自己的房间，就连想要跟过来的Sabre也被关在门外，只能发出可怜的“呜呜”声。
“抱歉啊，我妈妈总是这样说。”放下了凳子后，团子头少女坐到了自己的床铺上，稍微不好意思地说道。
Hachiman第一次进入小女孩的房间努力控制自己的视线以免显得过于失礼。
不过即使如此，仍然可以看到房间的整洁，书桌上贴着可爱的贴纸，桌面被收拾得很干净，床上的被子也被折叠得整整齐齐，几个毛茸茸的玩具熊靠墙摆放着。这是一个充满少女气息的房间。
“阿姨很热情。”Yukino笑了笑，递给Yui一个礼品袋，“给，这是你的生日礼物。”
“哇！还有礼物！我能拆开看看吗？”团子头少女一脸惊喜地接过了袋子，并在得到Yukino的允许后拆开了它，抽出围裙和狗狗玩偶。
“谢谢你！Yukino-kun！”她扑向黑发少女，紧紧握住她的手。
“这是为了感谢你做的。”Yukino轻轻地笑了下，并把手放在了Yui的头上轻轻摩挲。
然而意识到自己的动作后，她的手猛地僵住了。
昨晚她花了时间撸两只玉犬，当Yui向她扑来的时候，她不由自主地把手放在了她的脑袋上。
还好她没有注意到这一点。
“不仅仅是我准备了礼物哦。”
