Chapter 94: This Pendant Can Also Be Used as a Compass!

Chapter 94: This Pendant Can Also Be Used as a Compass!

With Weirafiya and the others holding off Diablo, Aierjisi had no trouble making her way to the Teleportation Gate.

“This should be the place.”

Just as Aierjisi was about to charge ahead and go straight in, she was stopped by a guard at the gate.

“You must be Miss Aierjisi, correct?”

“That’s right, I am Aierjisi. May I ask who you are?”

Noticing the guard was in Panimir armor, she guessed he was one of Gaia’s men. She wondered why he was blocking her way.

“I’m Kelly, assigned by Lord Gaia to stand guard here at the Teleportation Gate.”

“Oh. But why are you stopping me?”

“Before Lord Gaia led the charge, he specifically instructed me to give this to you.”

With that, Kelly pulled out a small green crystal from his pocket.

“What is this?”

“This is what Lord Gaia left behind. He said that to enter the world on the other side of the gate, you need to use this.”

“I see. Is it a sort of safety device? How do I use it?”

“Just keep it on you. However, the magic power inside the crystal will only last about an hour. Please don’t linger inside for too long.”

“Got it, I won’t be long. Leave this place to me!”

Taking the green crystal from Kelly, Aierjisi tucked it into her pocket and leaped through the Teleportation Gate.

“Wishing you glory and prosperity.”

Watching the empty gate, Kelly sent his blessings to Gaia and the others who were still fighting fiercely on the other side.

“Phew, so this is where the Adrian People live, huh?”

Landing on the ground, Aierjisi looked around, quite curious about the abode of these Ultimate Life Forms.

But curiosity had to wait; this was the enemy’s Base Camp, and she could be attacked at any moment. She had to complete her mission quickly since her active time was only one hour.

“Where on earth did Gaia and the others go? Not a single one stayed behind to assist me. Seriously!”

She had wanted to regroup with Gaia, but now she had no idea where they had gone, nor was there anyone to guide her closer. She was left to explore alone.

“Huh? This pendant? What’s happening?”

Suddenly, the pendant that hung around her neck began to float as if attracted by something, pointing in a specific direction. Could it be that Gaia and the others are over there? To confirm her guess, Aierjisi dashed towards the direction the pendant was insistent about.

On the other side, Gaia and his team were still leading the charge, battling their way through as they searched for Ailin.

“Ailin! Ailin! If you can hear me, respond!”

After knocking down yet another enemy, Gaia shouted Ailin’s name loudly into the chaos. But just like before, there was no reply. At this rate, they could be searching forever!

“Gaia, how about we split up?”

Mios suggested dividing their forces to improve search efficiency. Of course, there would be risks; their unity had been what made them strong enough to reach this point, but splitting up would increase the dangers each member faced.

“Alright, let’s start splitting up now. Everyone, stay safe! If you encounter an enemy you can’t handle, retreat immediately. Remember why we are here.”

“Understood!”

The soldiers responded to Gaia, pairing up to explore according to Mios’s instructions.

“Let’s go, Gaia, just the two of us left. We’ll take this route.”

“Okay!”

Gaia and Mios headed off down the only remaining path.

Meanwhile, Aierjisi continued to follow the direction indicated by the pendant. Perhaps because the soldiers were drawn away by Gaia’s commotion, she didn’t encounter any enemies on her way and easily arrived at her destination.

“Is that the house? What could be inside? I really need to check this out.”

After thoroughly scouting the area, Aierjisi observed the pendant’s reaction and confirmed it was pointing to a specific room, which seemed to have something inside that attracted the pendant.

“Let me see… Huh?!”

Using the divination technique she had learned, Aierjisi saw inside the house that there were captives, and one was clearly an Ice Dragon Clan female—this should be the Ailin they were searching for. But the other captive…

“Father… Father King? Could it be that he’s still alive?”

The reason Aierjisi had insisted on coming here was to see if any of her Blood Clan kin survived. She was shocked to find her father here.

No time to waste! She needed to rush in and rescue them both.

“Hey, did you hear? Someone seems to have busted in here, causing a ruckus!”

“Yeah, but this is supposed to be a dimensional rift, right? How did they get in?”

“I heard it was because Lord Diablo didn’t close the spatial gate when he left, allowing those people to slip through.”

“Ah, I see! Wait, someone’s coming!”

The two guards chatting were suddenly alerted when one spotted Aierjisi barreling towards them. They quickly assumed defensive stances.

“I don’t have time to play with you two! Just die already!”

Without hesitation, Aierjisi unleashed the light wheel technique that her teacher, Aisi, had taught her, slicing the two guards down before they could even scream.

“Let’s see if these guys have any keys on them. Of course they do.”

Aierjisi snagged two keys from the guards’ bodies before giving the door a swift kick, bursting it open.

“Who? You are…”

Ailin looked up in surprise at the sight of Aierjisi standing in the doorway. She had heard rumors of someone breaking in but never expected it to be her.

“Enough chatter! Time is of the essence. We can talk later, hurry and get out to join Gaia!”

Aierjisi didn’t have time for small talk, quickly producing the keys to free Ailin from her shackles.

“Gaia? He’s here too?”

“Yes, he’s outside causing mayhem. Go catch up with him now! I still need to find someone inside,” Aierjisi urged as she pushed further into the room, where her father remained a vital presence.
