Chapter 95: Do You Think You Can Go Back So Easily?

Chapter 95: Do You Think You Can Go Back So Easily?

“Father!”

Aierjisi reached the deepest part of the prison, gazing at Carl, her own father, locked up in this wretched place.

“Aierjisi? Long time no see. How did you end up here?”

Carl looked up at his daughter, struggling to fathom how someone so pampered in the Royal Palace could land in the enemy’s Base Camp to rescue him.

“Let’s talk about that later. First, I’ll unlock the shackles on your legs.”

Using the keys she had snatched from the guard earlier, Aierjisi easily freed Carl from his leg cuffs.

“Father, can you still walk? Or should I carry you out?”

Considering her Father King had been imprisoned here for what was probably 300 years now, his limbs might be too stiff to move. Aierjisi promptly placed Carl on her back and dashed toward the exit.

“Ailin? Why are you still here? Didn’t I tell you to regroup with Gaia and the others?”

As they neared the door, Aierjisi discovered Ailin waiting in the cell for them.

“I was waiting for you, idiot! It’s not every day you rescue me; how could I just leave you two behind? My conscience wouldn’t allow it!”

Of course, Ailin wasn’t going to let someone who had saved her, Aierjisi, stay in such a dangerous spot alone. She needed to protect her and leave together.

“Fine. But don’t slow me down! Let’s get out of here. Gaia, can you hear me?”

Aierjisi took out the mini communicator she had on her ear, attempting to call Gaia. However, it seemed that this world had some interference with communications, as she could not get through.

“No luck contacting him. We should just go outside and regroup. Let’s move!”

Aierjisi ushered Carl and Ailin out of the prison, but after just a few steps, they had to stop abruptly.

The reason was… quite simple.

“Who would’ve thought someone would dare to come to our hell, but do you think you can just walk back so easily?”

Gilbaris stood before them, delivering those chilling words. Since they had the audacity to step into his territory, they should forget about leaving unscathed.

“Tch, I thought you’d be drawn in by Gaia and the others. Didn’t expect you’d come to my side instead.”

Aierjisi glared at Gilbaris; this was truly the worst-case scenario.

“You think your little diversion would work on me? You’re terribly mistaken. I specially marked this prison; any tampering alerts me. After all, two very important figures are locked up in here.”

Gilbaris eyed Aierjisi’s back where Carl was, along with Ailin behind them.

“I see. You pulled a fast one on us. Ailin, I’m entrusting my father to you. Take him and team up with Gaia; you need to get out now.”

Aierjisi turned around, handing Carl to Ailin, then faced Gilbaris again.

“What about you? Facing him alone is a bad idea.”

While she hadn’t fought Gilbaris before, the aura he emitted made it clear he was not to be trifled with.

“Don’t worry. I have my escape plan all set. You think I’d come here without preparation?”

As she spoke, Aierjisi retrieved her pre-prepared gadgets from Subspace.

“Those things aren’t…?”

Spotting the two items Aierjisi pulled out, Ailin was stunned. Weren’t those the ones she had asked Ouxs to make? How did they end up in Aierjisi’s hands?

“This can come in handy. You did a great job designing them. I’ll borrow them for now. Now go, regroup with Gaia. I’ll catch up soon.”

With the gun in her hands, Aierjisi fired at Gilbaris.

“You think those Magic Power bullets have any effect on me?”

Gilbaris didn’t even bother dodging; he just took the blow to his body.

“I never thought they’d work against you, but Ailin managed to successfully retreat because of this opportunity.”

“Oh?”

It was then that Gilbaris noticed Ailin, who had been right behind Aierjisi, had vanished without a trace.

“Doesn’t matter; she wouldn’t have escaped anyway. I’ll take you down first, then chase after her. Killing two birds with one stone! I can’t believe you walked right into this; it saves me so much trouble.”

Gilbaris eyed Aierjisi, confident that taking her down would take no more than five seconds, after which he’d easily catch the fleeing Ailin. As for Weirafiya, with Diablo and Titan on her side, she wouldn’t be a problem either. He had essentially won this round.

“I’m not someone who rushes in without any tricks up my sleeve.”

“Then let me see what tricks you have.”

“Hmph, just watch closely.”

【Activate! Dark Zaipeliou!】

Activating the device, Aierjisi inserted it into the gun and pulled the trigger.

“Ugh…”

Black magical energy shot from the gun and surged into Aierjisi’s body, causing her some pain.

“Ah, so it temporarily boosts your combat power? But do you really think a little boost can bridge the gap between us? You’re underestimating me.”

Gilbaris saw through Aierjisi’s intentions.

“How can we know exactly how vast the gap is without a proper fight? Let’s clash.”

After absorbing all the magical energy, Aierjisi assumed a battle stance, determined to show that she could stand up to him after the enhancement.

“Alright, let’s see just how ridiculous the gap really is.”

Gilbaris charged at Aierjisi, and they began to grapple fiercely.

Meanwhile… Diablo was still being restrained by Weirafiya and the other two, having his energy drained.

“So, if you yell ‘daddy’ right now, I might just consider letting you go,” Weirafiya taunted Diablo.

“Don’t joke around! You cowardly scum, come at me head-on!” Diablo thundered in rage, but he couldn’t move an inch.
