And it was cut off from all directions!
Professor Shylph noticed with a grim expression that she had lost her connection to the hurricane.
It was as if a giant dome descended from the sky, instantly enveloping them inside, isolating them from the outside world!
Considering that the opponent was likely a gigantic beast, possibly even comparable in size to the elephant, their current situation could be immediately imagined. “We’ve been swallowed!”

A massive [Fog Beast], akin to a whale, emerged from behind the mountain and silently approached. With just one bite, it swallowed Dark and his companions inside its body.
Its size was even larger than the elephant.
Just its vertical height exceeded the elephant, and its total length was astonishing.
The mist on the Mountain of Gods appeared like ocean water in the eyes of this [Fog Beast].
They lived and swam within the mist, much like fish in the sea.
After swallowing Dark and the others, the whale-like [Fog Beast] merely turned slightly, shattering the terrifying hurricane with ease.
Then it swiftly navigated through the rapidly recovering mist, heading towards its nest inside the mountain’s belly.
Inside its belly, the [Fog Beast] that had swallowed Dark and the others began to attack them.
Professor Shylph maintained control over the surrounding wind elements, quickly identifying and clearing out the [Fog Beasts].
The mist enveloped everything, making it impossible to see that they were inside its stomach.
Even if all the mist inside its stomach was dispelled, only the outer mist would be visible due to the invisible nature of the creature.
The [Fog Beasts] attacking them were cleared repeatedly, yet they continued to pour in endlessly!
Dark and his companions did not panic upon being suddenly swallowed by some creature.
Bishop Sabrina Melville rapidly activated a magic card, adding another layer of defense around the [Storm Magic Carpet].
Professor Shylph calculated the approximate size of the creature’s internal space.
“We can call it a Leviathan for now,” she said.
Professor Kazel observed carefully and stated, “This Leviathan contains numerous small [Fog Beasts] within its body, responsible for its digestive system. We might find the secret of their continuous production within this Leviathan.”
“Professor,” Dark asked, “not going out?” Professor Kazel replied, “Let’s see first.”
He couldn’t resist wanting to unravel the mystery of this incredible creature. Dark nodded and summoned the [Cute Beast] onto the magic carpet.
He could use [Bliss V] to evolve the [Cute Beast] into a [Fairy Beast].
Using the [Fairy Beast]’s [Fairy Barrier], he could perform long-distance group teleportation, bringing everyone out of the Leviathan’s belly.
But since Professor Kazel wanted to explore the unknown, there was no rush. He was equally curious about how these [Fog Beasts] came to be.
He did not sense any divine aura from the [Fog Beasts], nor did the [Magical Beast: Goddess of Heartful Eyes] detect any divine energy flowing.
Just as Dark was thinking this, the [Magical Beast: Goddess of Heartful Eyes] suddenly frowned and said, “I see divine energy flowing!”
Dark immediately closed his mouth, narrowly avoiding blurting out his analysis. Professor Shylph raised an eyebrow and said, “Lead the way.”
The [Magical Beast: Goddess of Heartful Eyes] promptly pointed out the direction of the divine energy flow.
While Professor Shylph cleared the [Fog Beasts], she controlled the [Storm Magic Carpet] along the path indicated by the [Magical Beast: Goddess of Heartful Eyes], flying deeper into the Leviathan’s body.
In just a few minutes, they arrived at a spherical chamber. Though invisible, a faint divine aura flowed out from it.
Professor Kazel patted the nearby [Alchemical Beast], which then exited the barrier and swam toward the chamber.
The [Alchemical Beast] quickly found the entrance to the chamber and cautiously entered.
Soon after, it retrieved a pearl from within! The pearl was about the same size as a standard crystal ball, completely transparent but emitting a faint glow from inside out.
“Is this it?” Professor Kazel asked.
The [Magical Beast: Goddess of Heartful Eyes] nodded and said, “Yes, that’s correct.” “Water element aura,” Professor Kazel remarked, “If we make a simple deduction, it should belong to the Sea God Poseidon’s divine artifact.”
“Among the Twelve Heavenly Deities, those with water attribute powers are not limited to the Sea God; they also have subordinate deities,” Bishop Sabrina added.
Professor Kazel said, “So, it’s a simple deduction. Moreover, the residual divine energy in this treasure is minimal; unless corresponding divine power is injected, it’s hard to exhibit its original strength. However, we can deduce that the Leviathan gradually transformed into its current form by absorbing the divine energy from this pearl. The other [Fog Beasts] might be individual reproductions or parts of its body.”
He then expressed regret, “At present, even if we extract it from the Leviathan’s body, it won’t have a significant impact.”
Professor Shylph suddenly said, “We need to find a way to calm it down.”
Professor Kazel nodded in agreement, “That’s necessary.”
Dark quickly understood that the Leviathan was like an [Oil Snake] yet to forge a God’s Core, having gained transformation through divine energy absorption but still failing to cross the threshold.
Moreover, it might not be just one step away like the [Oil Snake].
Though it was far inferior in status compared to the elephant, when it came to sheer physical strength, it wasn’t necessarily weaker.
Yet, if it were only that, it wouldn’t be difficult to handle.
Professor Kazel said, “Attacking from the inside is a conventional method. But if we can find the reason for their attacks, we won’t need to exert too much effort.”
He turned to look at Dark and said, “The Leviathan should have stopped moving. Let’s go out.”
Dark nodded slightly and took out [Bliss V], silently summoning.
The three from the Church of the Saints instinctively narrowed their eyes to observe.
Under the light of Bliss, the [Cute Beast] evolved into a [Fairy Beast]!
“Fairy Beast, use [Fairy Barrier],” “Yes.”
The [Fairy Beast] focused intensely, creating a barrier enveloping the entire [Storm Magic Carpet].
“Group teleport,” Dark said.
In the next instant, they left the Leviathan’s body and appeared inside the mountain’s belly.
