Chapter 98: All Men Are Pigs (Second Update, Please Subscribe!)
Just as Izay expected.
Loki sought him out regarding the matter of titles.
The process was surprisingly calm; she sipped on her chilled drink while having a peaceful conversation with Izay.
Her expression appeared quite natural, showing no signs of dwelling on Izay’s past actions.
Izay felt slightly relieved in his heart.
Though he wasn’t sure of the reason, he wouldn’t be foolish enough to bring it up himself.
During their talk, Loki assumed that Izay was unaware of the title-related matters and tried to toy with him using their information gap.
She proposed an extremely embarrassing title, attempting to gauge Izay’s reaction. However, this plan was immediately foiled by the little angel standing nearby who exposed the truth.
After concluding his conversation with Loki, Izay headed to the bathhouse with fresh clothes for a wash.
At this hour, the Familial Group bath was completely empty, allowing Izay to enjoy a lord-level treatment.
After rinsing off and returning to his room, Izay organized his equipment while pondering his recent situation.
“New knowledge has been absorbed adequately; I can begin developing new magic. My experience in human combat is still too scarce, I need to find an opportunity to train…”
Recently, the knowledge Izay had accumulated was highly specialized, aimed specifically at the two spells he was currently conceptualizing.
Coupled with the revelation skill from “Star of Enlightenment” and Riviria’s assistance, the process should proceed smoothly.
His lack of experience in human combat became evident when facing the lizardmen.
He had always hunted monsters and rarely had the chance to fight humans.
Training with family members since childhood didn’t count, as practice would never involve lethal force between loved ones.
When fighting the lizardmen, whose behavior closely mimicked humans, Izay relied almost entirely on overwhelming ability values and the assistance of “Intuition.”
(Ps: After maxing out basic abilities during Lv.1, Izay’s strength upon entering Lv.2 could easily crush ordinary upper-level Lv.2 adventurers.)
“Intuition” was undoubtedly a divine skill in battle, capable of instantly determining the “most suitable action,” avoiding countless dangers and seizing the initiative.
However, it couldn’t change the fact that Izay lacked experience in human combat.
When “Intuition” activated during battles against lizardmen, Izay felt a sense of bodily discoordination.
Something like:
Brain (with Intuition assistance): Look here, do this, this, and this!
Limbs: ???
It was roughly as described above.
Thoughts were always one step ahead of actions.
Perhaps within the Dungeon, such flaws wouldn’t pose much of a problem.
But Izay was well aware that for a long time, Loki Familia’s enemies wouldn’t be the monsters inside the Dungeon.
They would be the “Dark Faction.”
Humans and deities who have embraced darkness.
As a member of Loki Familia, Izay couldn’t avoid confronting these fallen individuals.
Thus, obtaining experience in human combat and Player vs Player battles must be prioritized.
“Then there’s the hypothesis about enchanted weapons, which needs to be tested at some point. If everything goes according to plan, this will be the key to future wealth.”
Izay glanced at the weapon resting in the corner of his room, its spear body adorned with mysterious patterns, and spoke softly.
“Comparable in strength to ‘First Tier Adventurer Armament.'”
That was Raul’s evaluation.
After all, he had served as a supporter in Loki Familia’s main team for many years; Raul did possess the eye to discern weapons.
In their main team, everyone’s weapons were at least of “First Tier Adventurer Armament” quality.
If he couldn’t identify them, that would indeed be strange.
Originally just a “Sub-First Tier Adventurer Armament,” the silver-gray spear under Izay’s touch now possessed the true strength of a first-tier armament.
This seemed to be the doing of “Silver Starfall.”
As a special additional magic, after Izay obtained the development ability “Mystery,” something unknown seemed to occur.
In short, Izay should now be able to enchant weapons, allowing equipment worth thousands of Valis to exhibit dozens of times their own value in strength.
Using low cost to achieve high value.
This was what Izay referred to as the wealth code!
He, Izay, would one day become a dominant force within Loki Familia!
“Let’s get two cheap knives and test them out sometime~”
“Oh yeah, and then there’s my strategy for Lady Artemis and my date with Ais. Whoa, why am I so busy?”
Thinking about it, Izay couldn’t help but take a deep breath of cool air.
Every day was already full enough, and now there were even more things added.
Sigh, truly fatal…
With those beautiful dreams of the future concluded, Izay joined his companions in the large dining hall for dinner.
Afterward, he made his way to the inn on East Street where the Artemis Familia resided.
He arrived just as the girls were gathered together for a meal, so Izay naturally squeezed in without any hesitation.
Visiting friends during their mealtime would usually be an awkward situation.
But that’s only if you’re merely friends.
Was the relationship between Izay and Artemis Familia limited to that?
By the time he succeeded in courting their deity, they’d all be one big happy family—what need would there be for boundaries?
With such thoughts in mind, Izay blended in seamlessly without any sense of estrangement.
His presence actually made the young ladies more lively.
Initially, they wanted to freely discuss their day’s adventures in Orario over dinner.
Yet, they were hesitant due to concern about Artemis’ attitude, holding back somewhat.
Now that Izay had arrived, Artemis’ attention was diverted, giving them the freedom to chat openly.
How wonderful!
They chattered animatedly about places visited, items purchased, foods eaten, including various landmarks.
Unfortunately,
Some time after dinner, when the clock in the inn struck nine, Izay was mercilessly evicted from the room by Artemis.
As their interactions grew longer, Artemis understood Izay better.
She had every reason to suspect that if not sent away at night, this guy would simply stay put and refuse to leave.
Demeter was right!
All men are pigs! Holding hands leads to hugging, hugging leads to kissing, and after kissing…
Cough cough, whatever the case, he couldn’t be allowed to stay!
At nine o’clock sharp, Izay was kicked out by Artemis.
“Uh…this…”
Looking up at the vast night sky, Izay suddenly felt a gentle breeze pass by.
As if offering sympathy…..
