“Geez, you really are fast at escaping. You’ve gone beyond what I expected.”

Hearing Gilbaris’s somewhat reluctant voice, Gaia finally felt relieved. Since Ailin and Aierjisi had successfully fled, it was time for him to find a way out too.

“Don’t think you can escape unscathed! If it weren’t for your interference, I would have already captured Aierjisi.”

Gilbaris shot a disgruntled glance at Gaia. If it weren’t for this guy suddenly barging in, he wouldn’t have let Aierjisi slip right through his fingers.

“So, what do you want to do to me? I’m not like those guys; I can’t become your so-called divine sacrifice.”

Gaia flashed a nonchalant smile. As long as Ailin and Aierjisi made it out, his mission would be complete. What happened next was no longer his concern.

“Hmph. Fine, I’ll leave you here for now. I still have time to chase them. Once I catch them, then I’ll think about how to deal with you.”

With that, Gilbaris leaped into the air, soaring after Ailin and Aierjisi just like before.

Gaia instinctively wanted to turn and chase after Gilbaris, but after the earlier electric shock, his body was still paralyzed and he couldn’t move.

【Move! My body, how can you give up just because of a little electric shock? Hurry up and get moving!】

Desperately, Gaia fought to make his still-numb body move. It was a critical moment; there was no way he could let a little shock stop him now! Move already! You stupid body!!!

Maybe it was Gaia’s will overpowering the paralysis, or perhaps the power of the god within the pendant was responding to his desire. Either way, Gaia’s body finally started to move.

“Finally, I’m starting to move! Good, now I need to catch up!”

Just as Gaia got his freedom of movement back, he didn’t have time to feel happy about it; he remembered Ailin and the others were still being chased. He picked up the spear that had fallen nearby and rushed off.

“There they are. Ailin, why aren’t you out yet?”

Meanwhile, Aierjisi spotted Ailin waiting around the Teleportation Gate in the air and quickly descended beside her.

“I was waiting for you all to come out. By the way, why are you alone? Where’s Gaia? Why isn’t he with you?”

Seeing only Aierjisi, Ailin asked anxiously about Gaia.

“He’s still over there fighting Gilbaris. He bought me some time to escape. Come on, let’s get out of here!”

“No way! Gaia’s not here yet. I have to wait for him.”

Aierjisi grabbed Ailin’s hand, trying to pull her towards the Teleportation Gate, but the next second, Ailin shook her hand off. She was determined to wait for Gaia; she wouldn’t leave without him.

“Gaia will come! We need to hurry! If we stay here too long, we’ll be in danger too.”

Aierjisi glanced at the green crystal in her pocket; its glow was dimming more and more, a sign that their time here was running out.

“But…”

“Sorry, but no one is leaving this place.”

Just as Ailin was about to say something while waiting, an eerie voice came from above. Both she and Aierjisi looked up simultaneously.

“Gilbaris! You jerk, you actually followed us here?! What did you do to Gaia?!”

Seeing that Gilbaris had actually tracked them to the Teleportation Gate, Aierjisi felt a chill run down her spine. Could it be that Gaia had already been taken down by him? If that was the case, they were in serious trouble. She and Ailin were far from being in top condition and couldn’t handle him at all.

“Oh, that annoying guy? I tossed him aside after he got hit by my thunderbolt. He should still be kneeling over there. But hey, do you really have time to worry about him now? You should focus on saving yourselves.”

Gilbaris looked down at Ailin and Aierjisi. Now that he had followed them here, there was no escaping his grasp.

“Tch. Damn it, hey Ailin. Can you still fight? If it comes down to it, we’ll have to go all out!”

“I think I’m still okay. I’m not at full power, but I can fight if needed.”

“Good, then we’ll make our stand here together!”

With no other options left, Aierjisi decided to take the plunge and fight it out!

“Hmph. Foolish. You think you can really challenge me after seeing the gap in our power? Allow me to show you what the Ultimate Life Form truly is!”

Gilbaris gathered energy in his hands, preparing to unleash a massive attack on the two of them.

“Chaos Destruction…”

Just as Gilbaris finished his incantation and was about to unleash his powerful attack, he was suddenly swallowed by a light beam shot from the left.

“Don’t you dare lay a hand on my important friends, you jerk!”

“Gaia?!”

Aierjisi and Ailin turned to the source of the light beam. Gaia was standing there, holding his spear high. It was obvious that the previous attack had been launched by him.

“Sorry about that, didn’t mean to worry you two. Alright, let’s hurry up and leave; though I really want to say that, I’m feeling too exhausted to move right now. Can someone help me out?”

It seemed that the previous incredible attack had taken a toll on Gaia; his body felt like it was falling apart from exhaustion.

“I’ll help! Gaia, hold on tight; I’m coming to get you. Aierjisi, prepare to withdraw.”

“No need for you to say that! And don’t you dare try to throw my father around like that again!”

Aierjisi scooped up her father Carl, and together with Ailin, they jumped into the Teleportation Gate, returning to their former world.

“Hey, we’re back! Kelly, you can close the door now.”

Back at the original entrance, Aierjisi hurriedly called for Kelly to shut the continuously open Teleportation Gate. If the guy from outside came through, it would be a real mess.

“Got it!”

Without a second thought, Kelly operated the device and successfully closed the Teleportation Gate.

“Ugh, it seems our mission went off without a hitch. I wonder how Yake and Diablo are faring in their battle. It should be fine, right?”

Aierjisi gazed into the distance, where there was not even a hint of fighting. Perhaps the battle had already come to an end.
