Chapter 106: Sister’s Treat
The dishes ordered just now were swiftly delivered by a waiter with a small cart, even though there were only two snack fiends here. However, with no shortage of money, Jiang Kekai went all out and ordered eight dishes.
As the saying goes, if you want something, why not have everything? After the waiter left, Xia Yu, who still looked a bit awkward, caught Jiang Kekai’s attention. She couldn’t help but chuckle, “Xia Yu, what are you staring at? Eat up! I can’t finish that many.”
Jiang Kekai proceeded to put a peeled shrimp into Xia Yu’s bowl. “No need to be shy, I’m happy to peel these for you. You must finish them, okay?”

After some hesitation, Xia Yu picked up the shrimp with her chopsticks and popped it into her mouth.
Seeing this, Jiang Kekai smiled, “That’s more like it. Eat more, we’re alone here, so nobody will disturb you.”
“Got it.”
In the end, all the shrimp were peeled by Jiang Kekai and mostly ended up in Xia Yu’s tiny belly.
For Jiang Kekai, feeding Xia Yu brought immense joy—more than eating the shrimp herself. She even thought about ordering another plate after seeing the empty dish, as she hadn’t quite had her fill.
However, she decided against it. After all, they hadn’t eaten many of the other dishes already. Wasting food wasn’t good.
“Hey Xia Yu, eat more. Everything here is ours.”
With a smile, Jiang Kekai then served Xia Yu a piece of fish. She enjoyed this feeling of feeding someone.
Though eight dishes seemed a lot, most were just shells and bones. There wasn’t much actual meat. Both felt a little unsatisfied, but eventually, they both ate their fill.
Finally able to hold back no longer, Jiang Kekai playfully pinched Xia Yu’s face, “They say you eat very little. Why are you eating so much now?”
She silently complained in her mind, “It’s because you’ve been feeding me!” But in reality, she didn’t dare voice her thoughts, fearing the Young Miss wouldn’t be pleased.
Seeing Xia Yu wasn’t in the mood to talk, Jiang Kekai didn’t push her. She simply pinched Xia Yu’s nose and stood up, saying, “Let’s go. We should enjoy ourselves now that we’re full.”
Xia Yu nodded and followed.
At the front desk, Xia Yu discovered something new about the Young Miss. When paying, Jiang Kekai didn’t use cash but handed over a card Xia Yu had never seen before. “Just swipe it.”
The cashier was a bit surprised but quickly recovered and processed the transaction. With a smile, she said, “We welcome you back anytime.”
Ignoring her, Jiang Kekai pulled Xia Yu away.
Outside, looking at the unimpressive streets compared to a first-tier city, Jiang Kekai felt disappointed. She asked Xia Yu beside her, “Xia Yu, have you been here before? Is there anything fun to do around here?”
But Xia Yu shook her head, “I haven’t.”
Truth be told, though Xia Yu’s house was only an hour or two away, who would make such a journey for no reason?

Spotting a large clothing store, Jiang Kekai didn’t hesitate to drag Xia Yu inside.
The store owner, who was lounging on a recliner, noticed the customers and promptly greeted them with a smile as she put down her phone. “Ladies, what can I help you with today?”
“Find something similar to what I’m wearing for her.” Jiang Kekai patted Xia Yu’s shoulder and instructed the owner.
“Of course, please sit, I’ll bring some choices over.”
The owner seated Jiang Kekai and Xia Yu on a big sofa, then left to fetch the clothes.
Once she was gone, Xia Yu couldn’t help but complain, folding her arms. “Little Ning Sister, what are you doing?”
Indeed, Xia Yu had assumed Jiang Kekai had come here to buy her own clothes, but instead, she found herself getting something too.
“Why are you making such a fuss? Look at your old clothes. Walking around like that would ruin my image.”
“If you hate seeing me like this, why did you bring me along?”

Jiang Kekai’s smile returned, “At my place, Xia Yu, you don’t have to hide from me. If you need anything, tell me, okay?”

The owner returned with armfuls of hangers and said, “Pick whichever you like, we also have shoes and accessories. Feel free to browse.”

Grinning, Jiang Kekai said, “I got you new ones.”

“What about your old clothes?”

Feeling even more playful, Jiang Kekai attempted to form a smile on Xia Yu’s face.
Finally, after paying, Jiang Kekai happily walked with Xia Yu, holding her arm. She didn’t know why being with Xia Yu made her so happy, but she enjoyed the sensation nonetheless.
