Xia Yu sighed inwardly.
Jiang Kekai stopped teasing and carried Xia Yu to an available seat.
Finding a resting spot wasn’t hard in a big mall, and Jiang Kekai made her way over.
In a secluded corner, a man in black snapped some pictures of the two on his phone and sent them to his boss. It was their first time seeing the young lady being so casual. They were thrilled, thinking the trip was well worth it.
Meanwhile, in his office, Jiang Bin’s phone rang. When he saw the picture of his daughter carrying Xia Yu, he sighed deeply and went back to work.
Finally at the seating area, Jiang Kekai let Xia Yu sit down, relieved. Spotting Xia Yu’s apologetic look, Jiang Kekai said weakly, “I’m out of energy, could you help me get a tissue?”
Xia Yu looked around but found no one to borrow from and reluctantly admitted, “I don’t have a tissue on me.”
Seeing Xia Yu’s hesitation, Jiang Kekai reassured herself and pointed to her dress’s hidden pockets, “Look inside the folds of my skirt, there are tissues there.”
Xia Yu glanced at Jiang Kekai’s beautiful legs, struggling to reach the hidden pockets without touching her.
“This pocket is so tiny.”
She hesitantly reached into the tiny pocket, digging for a tissue. After a few moments, Xia Yu shook her head, “Nope, no tissue here. Shall I check the other side?”
“I don’t think there’s tissue either,” Jiang Kekai laughed.
Realizing something was wrong, Xia Yu reached into the other pocket and felt… something unexpected.
“Oh no!” Xia Yu’s cheeks flushed red, “I didn’t mean to! Please forgive me!”
Jiang Kekai, smiling broadly, waved off the apology, “It’s fine! That’s what I wanted you to do! The tissue is in my small bag; grab it for me?”
Xia Yu rummaged through Jiang Kekai’s bag, finding everything from various cards, an ID, VIP cards, a little mirror, tissues, three sanitary napkins, and a wad of cash.
“These are all things I don’t have!”
Amidst her embarrassment, Xia Yu handed Jiang Kekai a tissue to wipe her sweats.
Feeling bold, Jiang Kekai suddenly hugged Xia Yu, saying playfully, “Do you believe in love at first sight?”
“No! I don’t know what it means.”
Jiang Kekai explained, “It means falling in love just by seeing them. Do you think such a thing exists?”
“I believe it.”
“Really? Have you ever met someone like that?”
Xia Yu paused, then confessed, “Yeah, actually, it’s you!”
Jiang Kekai smiled warmly, pleased with Xia Yu’s honesty, “You think I’m pretty, right? And you like that I’m a nice lady who treats you well?”
“Exactly!”
“You’re easy to take care of, Little Yu. I also believe in that stuff. Here, let me show you something.”
Before Xia Yu could react, Jiang Kekai swiftly kissed Xia Yu on the cheek.
Xia Yu’s face flushed even deeper.
Meanwhile, the man in black watching was shocked. They initially thought this outing was just for fun, now realizing the complexity of this girl’s background.
