### Chapter 112: Killing Time
“Ahhh? Oh~”
Knowing she was in the wrong, Jiang Hanhang didn’t dare say anything more about Xia Yu behind her back and instead handed over the photos to her older sister, “Alright, sis, don’t be mad. I’ll give these photos to you, just don’t eat lunch. Okay?”
With that, Jiang Hanhang, feeling a bit aggrieved, handed all the photos to Jiang Kekai. If only she had known she would step on those landmines, she wouldn’t have said those things.
“That’s better. Now I’m so sleepy. I want to take a nap. Tell them I won’t be eating lunch and don’t disturb me.”
After taking the photos, Jiang Kekai happily flipped through them. With satisfaction, she headed back to her room for a nap.
Watching her sister’s retreating figure, Jiang Hanhang’s curiosity about Xia Yu was piqued. What kind of person could seduce her own sister like this?
Jiang Kekai had hoped to fall asleep immediately once she returned to her room. However, every now and then, she couldn’t resist pulling out the photos, giggling softly.
Poor Miss Jiang was destined to have another sleepless night.
At five in the afternoon, Xia Hong finally brought his wife and children to Peng City. As a metropolis, Peng City was bustling and full of skyscrapers.
Without hesitation, Xia Hong drove directly to a place called JinGuang Neighborhood where his newly bought house was located. The renovations were complete, and he was eager to move in.
“Our house is in apartment number 906. Little Yu and Little Ling, you can choose your rooms later.”
Under the lead and guidance of her mother, Wang Wenjuan, Xia Yu and Xia Ling quickly went to apartment 906. This was their first time living so high up.
Next came the room selection process.
To ensure each child had a room, Xia Hong bought a four-bedroom, one-living room house. Many in the village could only dream of such luxury.
Four rooms, sharp-eyed Xia Yu and Xia Ling noticed that two of them were shady, meaning sunlight rarely reached them.
But Xia Yu didn’t mind. She wasn’t sure why, but she liked dark rooms, so she chose one.
As for Xia Jing, Xia Yu had no clue what was going on; she had passed up the well-lit rooms and picked the darker one next to hers.
Opening the door, the freshly renovated rooms did not disappoint—everything was new. There was even a big mattress on the bed…
“Little Yu, Little Ling, have you chosen your rooms?”
Hearing her mother’s voice from outside, Xia Yu knew it was time to go out.
Xia Ling chimed in as well, clearly pleased with her chosen room.
Sure enough, when Xia Ling faced their mother, she announced, “Mom, I picked that room.”
She pointed to the room she had seen earlier.
Wang Wenjuan patted her daughter’s head with a smile, then turned to Xia Yu with curiosity, “Little Yu, have you chosen yours?”
Xia Yu nodded and pointed to her chosen room, “Yeah, that one.”
Wang Wenjuan was surprised that both her children chose darker rooms, but shrugged it off. As long as they were happy, it was fine.
Then she got up to tell them, “Good choice. Now, pack up your stuff. We’ll use the water heater if we need to take a bath. Your dad and I are going back to our old place to get everything.”
“I know. We’ll take care of the house, Mom. Don’t worry,” Xia Ling said cheekily.
Thus, Wang Wenjuan and Xia Hong left for their old place, leaving Xia Yu and Xia Ling alone.
With parents gone, Xia Ling wasted no time; she rushed back to her room for a bag of chips and started munching.
The smell of fried goodness filled the air…
Xia Yu stood by her window pondering something she couldn’t quite put her finger on about the iron railing.
Xia Ling snuck into Xia Yu’s room holding a bag of chips, sitting boldly on the bed with an inviting gesture, “Sis, want some?”
Xia Yu shook her head and said calmly, “No, where are my clothes? I want to take a shower now.”
“Okay, sis. Hold on a sec, I’ll get you some.”
Xia Ling shoved a packet of chips into Xia Yu’s hand and dashed out of the room. Soon after, she returned with a suitcase in tow.
This was Xia Yu’s suitcase, containing Xia Yu’s clothes.
Placing the suitcase on the floor, Xia Ling pulled out clothes laughing, “Sis, how about trying on the dress today? No one here knows us. What do you say?”
“No.”
Disappointed, Xia Ling dug through the contents in the bag, “I took out your clothes while organizing. Looks like I forgot to put them back. Sorry.”
Frowning apologetically, Xia Ling showed Xia Yu the contents—only Xia Ling’s accessories and dresses were inside.
Xia Yu was speechless.
Xia Yu suspected Xia Ling intentionally messed with her, but couldn’t understand why.
Resigned, Xia Yu sifted through the suitcase and finally found a dress Jing Jiang Kekai bought her yesterday.
Xia Jing chuckled, relieved that Xia Yu would be occupied with her tonight.
“Yes! Sis, you look great in this dress. You don’t have your underpants, so use mine. How about this cute little tank top?”
Xia Ling threw Xia Yu a pair of underpants and wiggled in front of her a cute tank top.
Xia Yu’s face reddened, confused but embarrassed, clutching the dress and underpants Xia Ling gave her before darting to the bathroom.
“Having a sister is truly blissful.”
Xia Ling mused to herself, her delighted smile revealing her happiness.
“Do I really need to wear this?”
Gazing at the dress and panties hanging on the rack, Xia Yu sank into deep thought, worried about being caught wearing Xia Ling’s clothes.
With no other options, Xia Yu started her bath.
But a problem emerged…
Xia Yu was embarrassed to find she had forgotten her towel.
“Hey, Xiao Ling, I didn’t bring a towel. Did you?”
Snickering at Xia Yu, still reveling in her moment of triumph, Xia Ling got up to fetch towels from the bathroom.
Xia Yu’s wet head peeked out the door, “Little Ling, can you lend me a towel? I forgot mine.”
“Sure, but what should I call you, sis?”
Seizing the opportunity, Xia Ling reached out to playfully tousle Xia Yu’s damp hair, still smelling of shampoo.
Unable to hide her amusement, Xia Yu sighed and resignedly muttered, “Sis~”
“See? Sis will get it for you, wait here!”
Pleased her vanity was appeased, Xia Ling returned promptly with two towels, “Pink one for your body, white for your hair.”
“Thanks.”
Blushing, Xia Yu shut the door behind her.
After five minutes, Xia Yu emerged, fresh from the bath like a beauty queen.
Xia Ling’s laughter could not be contained; reaching out her hands, she teased, “Sis, give me a hug.”
Ignoring her, Xia Yu brushed past and sat on the sofa.
Not to be outdone, Xia Ling grinned and wrapped her arms around Xia Yu, squeezing tight.
Xia Yu struggled a bit before submitting, remembering how often Xia Ling acted flirty since discovering something about her.
Seeing Xia Yu’s forlorn face, Xia Ling relented, “Okay, okay. I promise not to tease you anymore. I need to take a bath too.”
With that, Xia Ling went to get dressed and join her in the shower.
After an hour, another lovely girl emerged, wearing a dress.
Xia Ling, without hesitation, walked towards Xia Yu, plopped down beside her.
Curiously, Xia Ling grabbed Xia Yu’s towel to dry her hair.
When Xia Yu continued staring, Xia Ling laughed teasingly, “What are you looking at? That’s my towel, sis. Hands off.”
Xia Yu’s lips moved, as if wanting to say something, but she stayed silent, boredly scrolling on her phone.
Her QQ account had been created in third grade, and now with nothing else to do, she merely scrolled through her feeds…
