### Chapter 130: Xia Le Prepares for Vacation
There was a moment of shock as the salesperson finally realized they’d just hit the jackpot. Holy cow! What kind of luck had they struck today to meet such a big spender? “Miss, please wait just a second; I’ll go get you two brand new laptops from inventory right away.”
With that, the salesperson sprinted away in excitement, not daring to lose this major client.
Meanwhile, Xia Yu finally gathered the courage to question Jiang Kekai, “Sis Kekai, don’t you already have a computer? Why are you buying so many?”
“Silly girl, these are for you! Now you can watch movies on a laptop instead of being bored all day.”
Hearing that, Xia Yu couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude… especially when she saw the price tag on the laptop. She couldn’t believe Jiang Kekai was buying it for her. “Actually… you don’t need to spend so much. A cheaper one would do just fine.”
Xia Yu murmured quietly as the whole group focused their attention on her.
But Jiang Kekai wasn’t having any of that. She grabbed Xia Yu’s face and pinched it, saying with an unwavering tone, “No way! This is a gift from sister. How can we settle for cheap stuff? Listen to your big sister!”
Just then, the salesperson returned pushing a cart with two laptops in boxes adorned with the Phoenix notebook design. “Miss, the total comes to one hundred and ninety-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine yuan and ninety-eight cents. Are you paying in full or in installments?”
The salesperson cheerfully handed over the card machine, relieved that the super-big fish hadn’t swum away. He knew his commission for this month was guaranteed, and it would be quite substantial.
“Full payment,” Jiang Kekai said, grabbing the card machine and completing the transaction.
Xia Hong, who was holding onto his wallet tightly, let out a sigh of relief since he simply couldn’t afford such luxury more than once. Hence, he decided to stay out of the spotlight.
With the purchase complete, Xia Hong reluctantly took out his wallet and handed a card to his wife before leaving. He felt a sense of liberation as he left, believing that being a father was no easy task. Originally, he planned to treat his kids and Young Lady, but the latter kept overspending, squeezing his wallet painfully tight.
It’s not like Xia Hong couldn’t afford it. He just thought of his future—more luxury meant their family finances could dwindle.
For instance, the two laptops Jiang Kekai bought for his kids would cost almost two hundred thousand combined. With only a fraction saved up, Xia Hong preferred to play it safe.
Realizing his work was done, Xia Hong promptly left without any hesitation, rather than prolonging the awkwardness.
Now, only Old Cheng, the bodyguard, remained the sole male among the females.
Seeing the clothing section ahead, Jiang Kekai directed Cheng, “Cheng, take the cart back and load those boxes. I’ll be heading over to find Little Yu some new outfits. Zhao Wei will keep an eye on things here.”
“Got it!”
Cheng nodded; knowing it’d be awkward to stay, he swiftly pushed the cart away.
So, the only men left were the ladies and Little Yu, who all knew about Xia Yu’s condition. She was now fully girly.
“Come on, Xiao Yu. The dress I bought for you last time was ruined. Let’s get you a new one.”
Jovially, Jiang Kekai wheeled Xia Yu towards the clothing section, eager to get her dolled up.
But then she remembered Xia Yu was injured and couldn’t just go around trying on clothes recklessly.
Looking at Xia Ling, Jiang Kekai turned on the charm, “Xia Ling, why don’t you try on the dresses for your sister?”
“No way!”
Xia Ling pouted and looked away, refusing to cooperate, “Every time you take over my sister, I won’t help you at all.”
“What, isn’t Little Yu getting a new dress? Isn’t that something you want for your sister?”
“But… I can wait until my sister is healed, then we’ll get a new dress together!”
Faced with Ling’s stubbornness, Jiang Kekai decided to pull out her trump card. “Hmm, I was planning to give one laptop to Little Yu and another for Ling. If you don’t want this, I might return one.”
Jiang Kekai pretended to pull out her phone, ready to call Cheng and have him bring a laptop back for returns.
At that sight, Xia Ling snapped. So, that’s where one laptop went all along! Wasn’t it to bribe her? Although she herself wanted a laptop…
After a brief hesitation, Xia Ling finally agreed, “Fine, I’ll help, but only for Little Yu, not for you.”
Jiang Kekai couldn’t help but chuckle at Ling’s attitude. Winning her over wouldn’t be easy.
However, Jiang Kekai remained determined. “Sure thing, Xia Xiao Yu. What kind of dress do you prefer?”
“Uh, I think it’s best if we ask Little Yu herself?”
Suddenly realizing her mistake, Jiang Kekai immediately turned to Xia Yu, still in the wheelchair. “Xia Yu, what type of dress do you like? Your sister will buy it for you.”
Xia Yu, looking at Jiang Kekai expectantly, replied honestly, “I don’t have a preference.”
Indeed, Xia Yu struggled with her identity transition. Even though she found some dresses appealing, she couldn’t bring herself to voice her opinion. It seemed too awkward.
And she didn’t understand why Jiang Kekai and Xia Ling liked seeing her in dresses. Their insistence made her even more hesitant.
Her mother, Wang Wenjuan, even witnessed this change in attire, making Xia Yu more reserved and willing to comply. For instance, she initially wanted to avoid dresses but couldn’t refuse Jiang Kekai’s enthusiasm.
“So, Little Yu, you’re okay with whatever style, right?”
“Well, let’s choose something suitable for you.”
Wang Wenjuan watched silently, intrigued by how Young Lady interacted with Xia Yu. Though she understood they were both girls, it raised questions.
Meanwhile, Xia Le started preparing for final exams. Once finished, he’d go to his parents’ place for summer vacation, sneak off to an internet cafe to play games on the computer.
