### Chapter 133: Intimate Matters
Geng Lao, the tough head of the Lin family’s bodyguards, looked at Lin Jie, who was on the verge of crying from pain. He clenched his teeth and ordered the other bodyguards, “Firstly, move young Master Lin Jie to get treated.” And so, the Lin family’s bodyguards found a bed truck and carried the suffering Lin Jie onto it. They then all left together.
In other words, Jiang Kekai had won this face-off.
As for whether Lin Jie would come demanding compensation later, Jiang Kekai thought to herself, “Does our Jiang family need their money?” Besides, she currently ruled Demon City. If he wasn’t afraid of getting kidnapped halfway or at the end, go ahead.
Just then, Jiang Kekai noticed Xia Yu looking at the Lin family bodyguards with a pity-filled gaze, most likely feeling sad for Lin Jie who had just been kicked by her.
Xia Yu actually felt sorry for Lin Jie, which unsurprisingly made Jiang Kekai unhappy. She leaned close and whispered into Xia Yu’s ear, “Little Yu, once we get home, sister will tell you how naughty this person is. So, remember not to talk to him, okay?”
“Uh… Okay.”
Xia Yu responded uncertainly. She remained as indecisive as ever.
Thankfully, she was with Jiang Kekai, a lady who wouldn’t harm her. So, lucky, she used the same method as before to get a ride back.
As soon as they entered the community, Xia Yu spotted through the car window that the security staff seemed to have changed, and there were more surveillance cameras everywhere.
Xia Yu wasn’t dumb. She guessed this was done to protect Jiang Kekai. After all, this young lady was going to be around her from now on. This excited yet scared Xia Yu about accidentally offending the young lady. If Jiang Kekai got mad, she’d be the one in trouble.
So, Xia Yu rarely refused Jiang Kekai’s requests, even forcing herself to reply when she was psychologically unwell. Otherwise, who would care?
Upon entering the courtyard, Jiang Kekai couldn’t resist pinching Xia Yu’s cheek and whispered mysteriously, “Little Yu, want to see your room? It’s full of surprises!”
Surprises?
Hearing this, Xia Yu became curious, and so did Wang Wenjuan and Xia Ling. What could be so surprising? Was it gifts?
With many questions, Wang Wenjuan and Xia Ling followed Xia Yu and Jiang Kekai to Xia Yu’s room. The door opened. The light flicked on.
Tada!
The lighting instantly illuminated Xia Yu’s room. No longer plain, it now looked luxurious.
Rich carpet covered the floor, while Xia Yu’s wooden bed was swapped for a big, soft princess bed. Her quilt had been custom-made by Jiang Kekai, who had planned this a long time ago.
Looking at the walls, no-harm-no-foul wallpaper adorned them with beautiful patterns, making the room less empty.
A vanity table. Two computer desks with already-assembled desktops. A large closet. With these additions, Xia Yu’s room no longer felt stark.
“What do you think, Little Yu? Do you like my surprise room? If anything’s missing, I can order it!” Pinching Xia Yu’s cheek again, Jiang Kekai happily wheeled herself in and showed Xia Yu her gift. She believed Xia Yu would be delighted.
Indeed, upon seeing all the extravagant items, Xia Yu began to feel overwhelmed with gratitude. “Like… like it, Little Ning, it must have cost you a fortune?”
“No worries, don’t fret. I’m staying here too, don’t sweat the details.”
Realizing Jiang Kekai didn’t want to reveal the expense, Xia Yu swallowed her curiosity. Since Little Ning didn’t say, she wouldn’t pry.
Simultaneously, confusion clouded Xia Yu’s eyes. Why should she repay such kindness? Constantly receiving Jiang Kekai’s gifts didn’t sit well with her. She felt like a burden.
But Jiang Kekai didn’t care. She didn’t like seeing Xia Yu wronged, hence using money to fix problems. Now, Jiang Kekai assured Xia Yu would live in absolute comfort. After all, she took a liking to Xia Yu.
Meanwhile, Xia Hong returned from work. Considering Jiang Kekai’s taste, perhaps she wouldn’t enjoy regular home-cooked meals. Hence, he bought groceries, planning a meal at a fancy hotel.
Xia Hong wished Jiang Kekai would leave soon; otherwise, the compensation from Jiang Family might not suffice.
Squeezing his wallet, Xia Hong finally decided to invite Jiang Kekai. “Kekai, any progress? Let’s eat at a restaurant?”
“No, it’s too tiring for Xia Yu. Uncle, just relax. I’ve asked the chef to bring over ingredients. We’ll eat here.”
Jiang Kekai hadn’t even finished, two chefs carrying boxes entered.
Knowing their job, the senior chef led his trainee to the kitchen, silent throughout.
Although impolite in appearance, the Jiang family demanded silence until dinner was ready. Any unnecessary chitchat would be an annoyance.
Watching the chefs bustling, Xia Hong realized he didn’t know what else to say. Let the wealthy young lady show off her hospitality. Thus, he sighed, relaxed on the couch—both Xia Yu’s and corporate work had drained him.
Right now, his car was still in the shop.
After dinner, since Jiang Kekai wouldn’t step outside, Vicky could finally call it a day. As long as Jiang Kekai obeyed orders, nothing untoward would happen.
Xia Hong intended to give Jiang Kekai the TV, but she showed no interest, instead taking Xia Yu back early.
“Uncle and Aunt, Xia Yu and I are heading to our room.” “Mm…”
Noticing Xia Yu being pushed away, Xia Hong consoled himself. Xia Yu was still injured and had psychological issues.
Xia Ling also headed to her room early.
Because the computer Jiang Kekai bought for her arrived, she couldn’t wait to explore it.
With children settled, Xia Hong and Wang Wenjuan watched TV alone. Xia Hong seized the opportunity to share his worry with his wife.
“Wenjuan, why did you ask Xia Yu to change clothes today? That’s my son!”
Jangling her husband’s reaction, Wang Wenjuan responded playfully, “Okay, if Xia Yu were a girl, how would you handle it?”
“Stop jesting, speak sense.”
“Isn’t this a serious matter? Xia Yu looks like a girl, shouldn’t you guess you fathered twins?”
Seeing his wife being evasive, Xia Hong grew stern. He sensed something fishy.
Jiang Kekai, it seems, had given Xia Yu a gender-neutral vibe.
Jiang Kekai recalled telling Wang Wenjuan about Xia Yu’s health situation. She noted female doctors attended to Xia Yu to avoid unnecessary contact with male doctors.
When Xia Hong realized Jiang Kekai’s reasoning, he grew irritable as a father. Nonetheless, Jiang Kekai’s stance left him helpless.
Back in Xia Yu’s room, Jiang Kekai thought to put Xia Yu’s nightdress on and chat. However, remembering Xia Yu’s unwashed state after surgery, she hesitated.
This presented an opportunity for closeness and intimacy.
